R. d. H.I can only comment on the drinks. We go here for date nights and always enjoy it. The wine list is a good variety, love the extensive list of cocktails. Even has mocktail options. Our friendly bartender also made the best cocktail for me by swapping out some ingredients on our request. Was amazing!
N. G.Had a lovely dinner at Queen of Jackson. It’s very much a sharing plates kind of place. Plates are reasonably priced with a wide variety of options ranging from Asian to South American cuisine. They also cater for a variety of dietary requirements. The food was excellent and we received regular and friendly service. They had a decent tap menu for beers and a great range of cocktails. If you are looking for a great place to meet up with friends for a drink and a meal, you’ll definitely love Queen of Jackson. I know I’ll be back!

R. M.We sat in the rooftop area and the service was fantastic. The meal was excellent and just seemed to keep coming with no gaps. The staff had no problems catering for one of our party of 14 who had special requirements. The only issue I had was it was very noisy and late in the evening when it rained the rain was coming in the patio blind. Well done to all.

J. A.Used to be one of my favourite places but the food has gone downhill since the change of ownership. Changed the thrice cooked chips despite the other staff advising against it. Portion sizes seem to have gotten smaller. Pulled pork tacos are still very good and would recommend those but since going and being disappointed with the changes I have not been back to see if it has improved. Will have to try it again.

W.thoroughly enjoyed my experience. the seating was very comfortable and food was delicious, especially the dessert - for $50 you can get two mains and two desserts, which is amazing value for the quality of food produced. staff were wonderful and efficient, but seemed slightly tense. additionally the ambience was amazing and there were a wide range of drinks whether you're looking for alcoholic and non alcoholic.

The staff were friendly and efficient and an awesome selection of wines and beers. Particularly wanted to mention they sometimes do a "karma keg" where local brewery Baylands put on a keg and instead of a set price you pay a donation, as much or as little as you like, all money raised going to that days charity, I just think this is a great idea and worth celebrating, drink beer and raise money, well done!

A afternoon beer with the kids and everyone is happy and welcome. 3) great nibbles and bar food 4) 3 floors with a roof top - heaps of space to find the right spot for you and 5) staff are great. Friendly, attentive and accommodating people. Good times.
K.I can only comment on the sinks and not the food. The selection of beers are great and change fairly regularly, also a good selection of ciders on tap. Also a great variety of seating areas whether looking for a quiet drink or a bit more lively on the ground floor or top floor.

T. W.Really disappointed. Back in Welly for a visit thought it would be a great place for a celebratory cocktail with friends. But in the last couple of years Queen has become run-down.All the banquet cushioning is torn and the tables chipped. The staff were still friendly and the food is great, but the cocktails were overly sweet ... only vaguely resembling the real thing. Sorry Queen, but you used to be all class. You are letting yourself down.
H. R.Great food. It describes it as small plates but the servings are very generous. We got the $35 banquet. Each serving had 5 pieces (which prevented squabbles!) The marinated sweet corn was a standout but it was all very good. Friendly and efficient service.

Downstairs is quite dark but the booths set up is great for a small groups it provides separation between tables and is ideal for the shared small plates style. Good selection of craft beer and good wine choices.

Also they're always odd numbers.. like five dumplings, or five tacos... The pulled pork tacos are amazing. Wedges a good cheap snack option though. Service is usually excellent and friendly too.

B. S.Five stars. I don't do this very often. The Queen isn't just another pub on Petone's Jackson Street. Yes, it sells beers, wines and spirits. And good ones at that. But the killer app here is the food. Tasting plates. Exquisitely melded, beautifully presented and beyond delicious. Good value too. Front-of-house service is also friendly, helpful and well informed. The Queen of Jackson has to be one of the best places I've ever dined. Seriously.

S. C.First visit here. Food was a really pleasant surprise - great flavours and a wide range of options. Nice range of craft beers, a very minor niggle might be if they had a more traditional option, like a Tuatara Pilsner or even a Tui/Speights/whatever. Staff were awesome too. This place definitely deserves people to visit it and spend some time. Will be back again.

D. W.This our favourite place to eat in Petone. The food is great! Tapas sized plates suitable to share between two people, reasonably priced. They do a number of craft bears on tap and have a great range of cocktails if that's your thing. The fat hand cut chips are fantastic! My wife loves the lemon pepper squid and the chicken karaage is my pick.
Just had candied brussel sprouts with bacon & parmisan and that was delish especially for someone who has terrible memories of brussel sprouts from my childhood years.
