K.Amazing dessert Cafe, with added bonus of having a cocktail bar (which I plan to go back and visit!) Cabinet full of delicious looking sweet treats made it hard to choose just one. Service was great. Already planning a group to go back for a high tea

D.I can tell that this place has just started up and can sense that there's a lot of potential. They're very open to feedback and I had a lovely chat with the owner.
Currently the food range is pretty small, but so fresh and delicious. The pastry chefs are doing an amazing job! 😋
Considering how tough this year was for businesses, I applaud them from coming back so strong especially for a start up 💕
I'm excited to see where this goes🌼 I'd love the idea of there potentially being high tea as the business grows 🍰 the quality is all there.
M.The opera cake was suitably luxurious and tasty, and so filling that I got to finish it. Savoury and sweet foods for five were all good or better.
Hot drinks were very good but arrived after we finished our food. +1 for the large coffee mugs.
The large venue is a big positive. Even better, the diverse seating arrangements provided options for different group types. We loved a booth with bench seat and round table. Other conversations, even in the adjacent booth, never intruded.
I read the low-rating reviews and I can see how they could be relevant but that was not at all our experience.
D.This is a great place to have dessert in the evening. When we've gone, it's been quiet and very spacious, so a good place to have conversations. The desserts have been solid and there is a pretty decent range to suit most tastes.

S.Absolutely amazing. The food is yummy, service friendly and owner Jane is an absolute star. Each guest receives a very warm welcome. 100% added to my list of favourites ❤
L.Stylish Cafe with colorful decor, when you walk inside you are transported to another world. Totally different from any Cafe I have been to. The atmosphere is warm and peaceful with booths along the one side for a more private meeting. The best thing about it is that it is open longer than cafes during the day, not closing early afternoon and also open for evening drinks and functions.
The food is beautifully displayed but mostly on the sweet side which is what this Cafe is geared towards.
We were greated by the very friendly owner who chatted to us about the purpose of this great Cafe.

D.Fancy a coffee? When most cafes have closed by 4pm, The Berry Berry Nice dessert restaurant and cafe is open til 8pm pretty much every day!
Divine desserts and great coffee
M.Went with a group of friends for a high tea that was booked. They had forgotten about daylight savings, so the food was 80 minutes late. They did advise it would be 30 mins late.
They can't cater to dietary requirements, but will tell you they can. I wouldn't trust them, based on my experience.
They talked about their emphasis being on fresh food, but there wasn't anything fresh.
The owner talked about her dream of opening this business, it was 19 years in the making. But, it doesn't yet hit the mark. Thought the owner should talk less and let people get on with it more. The staff generally looked unhappy.
They did try and fix my problems, I just didn't like any of the suggestions.

Our whanau enjoyed an amazing High Tea for my sisters baby shower/30th Birthday and the Berry Berry Nice whanau went above and beyond to make it a special day. Everything was beautiful, super yummy and just perfect! Nga mihi nui to you our new Aunty Jane, you will see us all again. :) x

W.Very classy establishment. Great coffee, good food and a range of desserts. Also has a baby grand piano. Very large interior. So you can have your space and conversation without interruptions. Right in the centre of Petone. Able to cater for functions. Very pleasant staff. Highly recommended!
D.Went there lunchtime. Some pies and cakes on offer. All in all food was good average not fancy or special. Had one Lamington which was not filled with cream but something very sweet. Was disappointed as it looked nicer as it was.
The service if super friendly. Atmosphere good but a little bit lost in this big place.
A.We discovered this new Cafe along the main street of Petone. The first thing we noticed is it’s different to the usual cafe, it’s very spacious and trendy, with comfortable seating. They specialise in a lovely selection of freshly made desserts that all look delicious, and although the savoury food menu is limited the owner says she has plans to grow this over time. I highly recommend the Mexican mince pork pie followed by the Pavlova. One other thing I noticed was they stayed open until 9:30 on Saturday, well past the adverted close time.
V.Best food, wonderful service. You feel like your mum baked and looked after you.
H.First time visit loved it beatifully decorated space, so peacefull and clean, very pleasant people, good price, and the coffee perfectly made for a fussy coffee drinker, the toasted sammies we had were perfect, and the lovely chat the owner I think it was, was, an added bonus. We will def be regulars on our next visits to Petone. Cannot praise it enough, and we have been to many eating places, this was a delight to sit in.

C.This is a great cafe,and relatively undiscovered so far.I personally love the spacious interior, especially in this covid-19 climate where we have come to value our personal space,but it does feel a little empty. All food made on site in fact they are happy to make your sammie to your specs. Dainty bakery treats to die for
. Licensed so will be great pre or post movie venue. I hear they'll be doing cheese boards as well as dessert.!

S.I didn’t know what to expect when I walked in, but I was really taken by the atmosphere of the place. Very classy vibe and I love the touch of Maoridom. The owner is very friendly and made me feel very welcome. Nice food and I can’t wait to come back and try some alcoholic desserts. Good things take time!
