We have just spent the weekend in Martinborough and this was the only establishment that we entered that gave us a warm welcome. The staff were great. Andrea in particular was incredible and is an asset to the business. I own a beer and wine bar in Auckland and appreciate the service that she gave us. Keep treating each customer as special and worth your time. It makes a difference. We came back more than once.

Having just arrived in Martinborough, I wasn't sure what we were in for. Sure, it's a wine town, but that means different things around the world, so I didn't want to be too high in my expectations. But after dinner at Cool Change all of my expectations for the region are going to need to beat that very high bar. The gnocchi was spectacular. The fish was good, but the lamb was exquisite. So much bette than the wall paper would have allowed me to expect. I loved the art, and the kitsch vibe, but I really didn't enjoy the wall paper. The service however was brilliant. Casual banter and lots of fun, but still perfectly on point. Can't rate her highly enough!! Perfect for the venue and a real asset to the team. (Dark haired girl who worked Wednesday Jan 26 - give her a raise) We will definitely be back!!!

First off. The food is delicious but could be improved by a couple of tweaks; 1. Gnocchi dish. Cut back on the chilli. The ghocci is made really well, it's light and like biting into a cloud. It's doesn't need to be overpowered with chilli. Less is more with this dish. 2. Beef Fillet main. Great produce. Veges and mash make a great accompaniment to the beef. You just need au jus or a gravy to bring it all together. Add that and it will be sensational. 3. Lamb main. Was chef's kiss. Had all the elements. Caramelised veg, mash, jus. Loved it. Have given 4 stars as I think there's still room for improvement with some simple tweaks. Well done team! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Absolutely beautiful meals here. Partner and I sat in the restaurant and ordered the bread entree with dukkah. For main, I had the lamb rack and my partner had the rib eye beef. Both were incredible! We went for dessert, expecting to be disappointed as most places with great mains have average dessert but we were both blown away. The tiramisu was perfectly balanced and the ginger pudding with caramel sauce was exquisite. Would definitely come here again next time we are in Martinborough.

Visiting the white Rock area during the afternoon we 3 were hoping for a meal in Martinborough. Pleasantly surprised to arrive without a booking for a late night meal here at this bar. Took a seat and I had the most delicious scallops! I only wish I had more scallops on my plate. Service was nice and had a good evening.

Had an excellent meal at Cool Change My partner had the Beef and I had the Lamb special. We thorougly enjoyed our meals. We highly recommend both choices. Service was excellent and our food came promptly.

Locally owned and operated this is a place to go. The service is always fantastic and the food is delicious.
