Great ambiance and we were seated and served promptly. Wait staff were very friendly. The only drawback and that is why 4 stars not 5, was that they had just returned from holiday and there was a very limited menu of only burgers and pizza with a few sides. I had the chicken wings which were large and delicious. The burger my partner had was outstanding and the fries were good too. Will definitely be going back and trying out the full menu. Great place!!

Amazing dinner experience. Highly recommended especially for a place like masterton, the taste is great. I did go for the expensive option though..
The fish (60$) [expensive] was snapper and the charred taste was the first time I tried. I must say it was really good. The size was generous. The creamy sauce gave it a good rich texture. Broccoli with coconut (8$) was ok. Japanese cheese cake (14$) was dry but taste was good. Probably needed a coffee to go with it.
Overall 4/5 for taste and 3/5 value (as took the expensive side). Must visit.

Visited again Oct2021: easy to get a place as not very busy due to L2. Menu has changed.
I had grilled octopus 28$ although the serving was a good piece of octopus but nothing else with it . So had to take greens and chicken 24$, 2 drinks (20 n 14$ each) dessert was tiramisu fingers (14$ L) (very string coffe, plz avoid)
total bill approx100$.
Certainly fine dining but quantity was small.
As previous once a visit or on occasions only..

Excellent food and service. Fresh, seasonal dishes with enough variety to suit all tastes. Good value for money considering the standard of the meals. This restaurant would be at home amongst Wellington, Christchurch or Auckland’s best. Thanks for a great evening team!

What a great experience! Delicious food. Great variety. Vegan & GF friendly. Impressive building and decor. Touches of class: cloth napkins and individual cloth hand drying towels in the toilets. Heartfelt staff. I'll definitely be dining here again next time I'm in Masterton.

We ordered the Trevally Kinlaw and it was super fancy and delicious. My partner and i really enjoyed the dessert, especially the pineaple l*mp, sweet, soft and yummy chocolate with a tangy taste too, that melts in your mouth, was soooooo good. Even the vegan vanilla creme brulee was really good, the caramelized suger on top was my partners favorite haha. Next time i hope to try the PB &J Magnum, if we dont end up ordering the Pineapple L*mp x2 haha. Thank you

10/10 cannot fault this place, highly recommend! Amazing food, amazing service and amazing atmosphere. Just an awesome dining experience. We got a few sharing plates and they were all different to what we’d usually go for but they really worked! We got rewena frybread with creamed paua, green lipped mussels (the sauce they came with was incredible) the karaage chicken was spectacular and even the agria fries and the special sauce were to die for. Definitely will be our new fave place to go.

World class. This is what great dining is all about. Modern food, excellent presentation, great atmosphere. Try and get a seat at the counter.
And then it all gets ruined by the owner's Covid and Vaccination stance. We'll come back when you get that all sorted team. Please don't destroy what was going so well.

Amazing food, wonderful and very friendly staff, great drinks list and they accommodated our toddler with no problems thank you. Love your mahi!

I usually only review when things go well - as it's tough in business without negative reviews. This is an exception as for the price of the food, amount of staff on at the time and the fact it wasn't overly busy... My experience was extremely disappointing. Meal took over an hour to come out and 20 minutes between first plate and the next so one of our group ate long before the others and one meal was the wrong order. Meals are small and without sides. For the price point, I'd expect more. There's no way to converse as it's so loud you have to yell. Not the great experience we'd hoped for unfortunately. Three stars as the food was tasty when it finally did come out... But by that point I was ready to eat anything!

We had a fantastic dinner here last night - it was superb from the beautiful fresh oysters to the delicious asparagus and the so yummy smoked kahawai. Finished with the perfect creme brulee. This restaurant deserves the highest praise & we will be thrilled to visit again when we're in Masterton 😊
