A real gem in Matamata, we were passing through yesterday and had the good fortunate to visit this lovely restaurant. The food was fresh, healthy, very reasonably priced and oh so tasty, very generous portions too. The staff were really warm and friendly. Next time I'm in Matamata I will certainly be back.

One of our favourite places to stop. Great food and service from the friendly staff. Very clean and well presented. Great food a cut above most other Greek restaurants.

Great spot to take kids, our kids loved the decor and the music. Kebabs were fresh, decent size and very tasty. Staff were very friendly and accommodating

Delicious food. We had wraps and salads and they were just absolute value for money. Visit to this place was a real surprise to us as we just stopped on our way back to Auckland. Courteous and friendly staff. Would love to visit this place again. Cleanliness of the place is worth mentioning.

So yum! We dropped in for a quick bite! I got the lamb open salad and the meat was yum and the servings were super generous! We could barely finish it! The sauces were super flavorful! Can’t go wrong with this place

Middle Eastern themed restaurant. Loved the ambience and setup. However food was not as good. Our chips were old and cold. Our pizzas - we requested no onions but when delivered to the table we were told the pizza has onions as we forgot to give the info to the cook. The pizza should not have been put on the table a different one should have been however we were were running out of time so we ended up having the same one. No one finished their meal as we all thought the meal quality was bad. And not fresh.

Delicious food and friendly service. We always plan our trips so that we have time to stop in for a meal at Fez when we are heading to Rotorua or Taupo.

Great food and coffee, served with a smile. Perfect break from a long drive. Child friendly.

Stopped here on a roadtrip with some friends. I really enjoyed the mixed kebab I got (the mint sauce was really good with the two meats). It's a really big space and the decorations and atmosphere fit nicely with the cuisine. Prices were good as well.

Excellent food, nice fresh tasting salad and Mediterranean Pizza was delicious. Staff were friendly and cleared tables very quickly one customer had finished and left. Tables were wiped very cleanly. Falafel were not as crispy as I'd expect as they were not refried like most other places. You can take that as both a good and a bad thing depending on your preference.

Amazing value and vibes!! Garlic bread was bigger and better than expected, kebabs fresh and tasty!! Definitely coming back.

I always stop here on my trips south. Good tasting food with generous portion sizes and heaps of sauce. Good fresh tasting salads and hummus.

I’ve had a lot of Kebab while traveling NZ, and this spot is by far my fave. Generous portions, great price, and the hot chili sauce is actually spicy.

Really good rest stop for Hobbiton! Halal meat available. They owners and staff take care of the place and are very hospitable. Free wifi. A taste of Turkish culture.

Great, happy, welcoming staff that acknowledged us upon entering. The menu is what you'd expect for Turkish cuisine but compared to others Fez Kebabs food is deliciously flavorful. Shop was busy and tables were being cleared and cleaned as they were vacated so seating wasn't an issue. Hardworking staff. Will definitely call in again. This shop and the staff are a credit to Matamata. To all of you, well done and thank you. My Wife and I were VERY impressed.

This place is amazing! Great value and super tasty. Quite possibly the best kebab store in NZ by far! The kebabs are more than twice the size of my hand. Great atmosphere and family friendly offering toys out back.

Kebab was really nice, but very disappointed in the sweets on sale. Having eaten Turkish food overseas, I found the sweets old and ended up throwing ghe three varieties away.

Excellent and friendly service. They were happy to make a new vege pizza for us when ours was a little too charred for our taste. Kids loved it here and we had a good time. Food was very good.

Delicious meal in an authentic middle eastern themed restaurant. We had kebab on rice, felafel kebab wrap and wood fired pizza. Value for money, taste and service is A+++ Must stop over next time you are around here. We will be back for sure.

Delicious food - our group of 7 were all raving about their various meals. Portions were good sizes. Fresh and yum! Staff were kind and patient with dietary requirements and the indecisive! 100% recommend.

Most delicious kebabs! I always make a point of eating here any time I pass through Matamata. Food is fresh with a variety of choices. The portions are really generous and are a reasonable price. The venue is spacious and friendly with plenty of space. Would definitely recommend going there.

Best coffee I have ever tasted and by far the best kebab ever. Well done. Will be my first choice pit stop when heading to the Bay of Plenty. This place is in Matamata.

Found this through google maps whilst travelling on a school tour from Australia with 23 children ages 11-13. With only 15minutes notice our whole tour party was looked after by friendly staff and fed delicious food. They enjoyed both the Turkish kebabs and excellent pizza. Thank you!

Wow. What a monsta kebab. I got a large and my partner got a small and the small is bigger than most places large. Big dining space and well set out. Comfy and nice decor. There were 7 of us that dined in and food came out quick. Everything was fresh and i would rate the food 8.5 out of 10. Overall very good place.

This has become one of our go-to places to stop in Matamata en route to Auckland or the Coromandel. The service is always extremely quick and efficient. The portions are absolutely massive and good value. Sometimes they play it a bit fast and loose with hygiene. As a vegetarian I can only speak for the falafel option. It's not terrible but it could be better; it's basically just heated up instead of cooked freshly and it's quite dry. Otherwise, I really like this place.

This place is awesome. Generous portions and options to choose small or large, very tasty and fresh veges and meat. Options for extras like jalapenos. Indoor decor and seating is nice and authentic looking. You won't regret eating here!

Best place for kebabs, a must for anyone passing through matamata. Food comes in generous portions and is very reasonably priced. Lots of flexibility to choose your meat and salads, so there is an option for everyone. The restaurant is beautifully laid out with lots of seating.

Was ok, was really busy when I went in. Service good and nice seating options inside and out. Not as fresh but I put this down to he turnover of people.

I often eat here, they always have great food and have never once messed up an order. Probably some of the best kebabs you could get in the Waikato. 10/10 do recommend

Great kebabs. Ordered a falafel kebab on gluten free bread, was not disappointed. 🌯 Of course a little bit soggy, just as all gluten free wraps. Also, tabuli is not gluten free for some reason, so stay clear, but awesome overall 💯

Had this Kebab, mixed, 3 times in 2 days when I was in Matamata. Place was clean and comfortable, food was great, you can get 3 different sauces without extra charge. First time tried Kebab with Avocado sauce, awesome!

Most of the time they're really good but they tend to have a lot of different staff and sometimes they can be a bit stingy with the size of the food.

If you want to try something a bit different and delicious then this the place that's tasty

Friendly and efficient employees. I had the big chip meal with everything - highly recommended! In addition the possibility to select three different sauces. The toilets are not 100% clean but in order and the location is barrier-free. (Original) Gutes Essen zu einem sehr guten Preis. Die Portionen machen noch dazu vollkommen satt. Das Ambiente ist stimmig. Hier und da könnten die Tische und Sitzbänke etwas sauber gemacht werden. Freundliche und zügig arbeitende Mitarbeiterinnen. Ich hatte das große Chip Meal mit allem - sehr empfehlenswert! Dazu die Möglichkeit drei verschiedene Saucen auszuwählen. Die Toiletten sind nicht 100% reinlich aber in Ordnung und die Lokalität ist barrierefrei.

То же самое касается салатов, которые заказывали барышни, с которыми мы путешествовали. Так что оценивайте свои силы правильно! Кебабы здесь двух видов - с курицей и с бараниной. Можно ещё заказать вегетарианский, без мяса. Но тогда турецкая кухня теряет свой смысл. Вегатарианцам рекомендую рис с овощами - тоже вкусно.
