A real gem in Matamata, we were passing through yesterday and had the good fortunate to visit this lovely restaurant. The food was fresh, healthy, very reasonably priced and oh so tasty, very generous portions too. The staff were really warm and friendly. Next time I'm in Matamata I will certainly be back.

So yum! We dropped in for a quick bite! I got the lamb open salad and the meat was yum and the servings were super generous! We could barely finish it! The sauces were super flavorful! Can’t go wrong with this place

Middle Eastern themed restaurant. Loved the ambience and setup. However food was not as good. Our chips were old and cold. Our pizzas - we requested no onions but when delivered to the table we were told the pizza has onions as we forgot to give the info to the cook. The pizza should not have been put on the table a different one should have been however we were were running out of time so we ended up having the same one. No one finished their meal as we all thought the meal quality was bad. And not fresh.

Delicious food and friendly service. We always plan our trips so that we have time to stop in for a meal at Fez when we are heading to Rotorua or Taupo.

Stopped here on a roadtrip with some friends. I really enjoyed the mixed kebab I got (the mint sauce was really good with the two meats). It's a really big space and the decorations and atmosphere fit nicely with the cuisine. Prices were good as well.

Excellent food, nice fresh tasting salad and Mediterranean Pizza was delicious. Staff were friendly and cleared tables very quickly one customer had finished and left. Tables were wiped very cleanly. Falafel were not as crispy as I'd expect as they were not refried like most other places. You can take that as both a good and a bad thing depending on your preference.

Great, happy, welcoming staff that acknowledged us upon entering. The menu is what you'd expect for Turkish cuisine but compared to others Fez Kebabs food is deliciously flavorful. Shop was busy and tables were being cleared and cleaned as they were vacated so seating wasn't an issue. Hardworking staff. Will definitely call in again. This shop and the staff are a credit to Matamata. To all of you, well done and thank you. My Wife and I were VERY impressed.

Best coffee I have ever tasted and by far the best kebab ever. Well done. Will be my first choice pit stop when heading to the Bay of Plenty. This place is in Matamata.

Found this through google maps whilst travelling on a school tour from Australia with 23 children ages 11-13. With only 15minutes notice our whole tour party was looked after by friendly staff and fed delicious food. They enjoyed both the Turkish kebabs and excellent pizza. Thank you!

Wow. What a monsta kebab. I got a large and my partner got a small and the small is bigger than most places large. Big dining space and well set out. Comfy and nice decor. There were 7 of us that dined in and food came out quick. Everything was fresh and i would rate the food 8.5 out of 10. Overall very good place.

This has become one of our go-to places to stop in Matamata en route to Auckland or the Coromandel. The service is always extremely quick and efficient. The portions are absolutely massive and good value. Sometimes they play it a bit fast and loose with hygiene. As a vegetarian I can only speak for the falafel option. It's not terrible but it could be better; it's basically just heated up instead of cooked freshly and it's quite dry. Otherwise, I really like this place.

(Translated) Good food for a very good price. The portions make it completely full. The ambience is consistent. Here and there the tables and benches could be cleaned a bit. Friendly and efficient employees. I had the big chip meal with everything - highly recommended! In addition the possibility to select three different sauces. The toilets are not 100% clean but in order and the location is barrier-free. (Original) Gutes Essen zu einem sehr guten Preis. Die Portionen machen noch dazu vollkommen satt. Das Ambiente ist stimmig. Hier und da könnten die Tische und Sitzbänke etwas sauber gemacht werden. Freundliche und zügig arbeitende Mitarbeiterinnen. Ich hatte das große Chip Meal mit allem - sehr empfehlenswert! Dazu die Möglichkeit drei verschiedene Saucen auszuwählen. Die Toiletten sind nicht 100% reinlich aber in Ordnung und die Lokalität ist barrierefrei.

То же самое касается салатов, которые заказывали барышни, с которыми мы путешествовали. Так что оценивайте свои силы правильно! Кебабы здесь двух видов - с курицей и с бараниной. Можно ещё заказать вегетарианский, без мяса. Но тогда турецкая кухня теряет свой смысл. Вегатарианцам рекомендую рис с овощами - тоже вкусно.
