We were absolutely famished by the time we got to this cafe. It was a wet and cold day so we were looking forward to be in indoors. We were very promptly seated beside a nice window looking out to the beach. We ordered a salmon dish and the ubiquitous fish and chips. We asked the waitress to make sure the salmon was a medium rare and we were not disappointed. The food was yummy and the coffee was good. The icing on the cake was the fantastic service we received, hence the 5 stars.

What a treat!!! After a long day of hard work, myself and my colleague decided to go to the Waterfront restaurant for dinner. I've never been before, but my friend has and she told me that they updated their menu. Gotta say, that my taste buds were dancing as we went through our starters and then mains. Wow! Hands down to the Chef and the amazing service staff. And let's not forget to mention the beautiful view. 👌 Highly recommended!! Regret not taking more photos. On the photos - Mussel frittata and market fish of the day (Snapper and Butternut Risotto)

What a stunning meal we had tonight. We both had the pork belly and it was well worth waiting for. The service was exceptional. Very attentive with a sense of humor. Will definitely return next time we come to Kaiteriteri.

Hands down the best Croque Madame I’ve ever had! And I lived off them in France. Have failed twice to recreate it at home so will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town. Blueberry pancakes also amazing. It’s obvious this team takes real care with their food.

What a spectacular meal we had for lunch today. Grilled fish and cauliflower salad and it was simply superb. Would definitely recommend stopping here for a delicious lunch.

We had a girls lunch there last weekend and it was so good. The fit out and new menu is awesome and now matches the beautiful location. Lovely range of lunch options, mostly fish, but a beef burger for the red meat lovers, and a few chicken options too. I had a 'mix and match' salad, where you could select your protein and then your choice of three salad options to match. Reasonably priced, nothing over $30 and most under $25. Good service and nice wine selection. Highly recommend - look forward to going back. Vegan options are available on request but apparently there will be some added to the menu soon.

Lovely spot. Tasting tray a disaster. Five half pint glasses!!! ... with no indication of what was being served. Suggest a paddle with 5 small glasses labelled to advise of the brew. Cleanliness sadly lacking....cleaning tables was a hit and miss affair. Some wiped down but with or without Covid all need cleaning. Been in Nelson region for 7 days and only the Waterfront fell short on cleaning

The descriptions of the food I was kinda vague so we were a little surprised at what arrived and the portions were modest but all the flavours were brilliant and we really enjoyed our lunch!
