Great food and the passion the owners have for the business is infectious. The book themed vibe is lovely and the food is awesome. I especially loved the waffles and the bacon and mushrooms were cooked to perfection with the big breakfast. I’ll definitely be back.

Went for brunch today and the food was nice but what we were really impressed with was the customer service. Probably most lovely customer service I’ve had in a really long time at a cafe. Super super friendly, were happy to make changes to drinks and meals, and even came out to double check how I wanted my iced coffee which was very thoughtful (and appreciated!!). Definitely recommend!

We have now been 2 times for breakfast. Both times the food has been great and fairly priced and the smoothies great. But the highlight has been the staff, super friendly and up beat. Would definitely recommend.

Today was the third time we’ve visited the cafe since we’ve moved down to the beautiful Mt Maunganui area. I don’t care what you might read about the wait times. These days everyone is understaffed and overworked. The staff here make up for any wait by delicious food, amazing service and consistent kindness. Thank you for going the extra mile with our squirmy anklebiter. Today there was a wait, but that’s because they were slammed full on with table after table. The fact that they met this work load with just 3 people on while doling out excellent customer service, keeping their tables updated on wait times and serving up hot delicious meals is worth far more than just 5 stars. Highly recommend and we’ll be back!

Nice cafe with pleasant ambience and an eclectic "book shop" theme. The staff person was exceptionally lovely and friendly. Our mushrooms weren't cooked quite enough but our meals were tasty in general. The coffee was excellent! Tom, the neighbour's black cat, is a permanent daytime sofa-surfer!

I had the pleasure of breakfasting at this establishment whilst on a business trip on two occasions last week the quality and service was outstanding.I would highly recommend this cafe without exception.

The cafe is tucked away in the back corner of the Cruise Deck. The staff are extremely polite and welcoming, and are keen to assist with any request. The corner of the cafè with the sofa is my favorite corner and very comfortable. Unfortunately the coffee was not very good. I had the chocolate peanut butter pastries and they were not exactly great either. For all the coziness of the place and the friendliness offered, when you are a coffee shop, and your coffee and pastries suck, then something needs to change. Too bad, because I would love to make this a permanent spot.

Wow. From start to finish. What an experience. Got a gluten free Freaky Shake and a peanut butter one. Every part of it was well thought out and delicious. Well done team. We will be back.

Lovely cafe with a large variety of food and drinks avail ( including the best shakes I have ever seen ) Staff were attentive and caring and were happy to re make a Coffee latte and add cream and ice cream to it to make it sweeter. The food that we all ordered was delish 😋 and well presented. It was great to have the chef come out after we had finished and ask us what we thought and had we enjoyed. Would def go back here and encourage others to eat there too.

We had a beautiful breakfast this morning, the food was made with love and were served by a lovely waitress. They have a sunny outdoor seating which is perfect for chilly mornings. And yes, the best coffee we had in New Zealand so far. Will recommend.

We had breakfast with a grab one voucher. Eggs benedict. It was nice but not impressed. With a voucher it didnt really feel like value for money and without it would even be less. Was just like at home and I think I would have put more effort in the presentation. Eggs were perfectly cooked though and staff friendly.

I and my partner went here for drinking mega shake. The pic was there and it looked so nice. But the taste was not good. Shake was not cold enough because it was not contained ice cream. Just milk and small amount of choc powder and shaked. Decoration which is on top of it has small scoop of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream with some cookies, banana bread and waffles. Those topping looked not too fresh.. I was really dissapointed from choco shake a lot. Afterwards we order latte and it was also not that good. Owner was kind but beverages were not that good..

Here all you can drink is good cocktails and mocktails, juice along with some snacks. The milk shakes are worst. Better not to go for it.. and avoid. Yes there is outdoor sitting where smoking is allowed. Service is bit slow. Staff is not that friendly.
