V.Food is awesome, but they need to work on wait times. Was told there was a 25 minute wait, got my order in an hour. There were a lot of unhappy people in the same boat. Dont mind waiting for the great food, but would be better if they organized themselves with orders better.

E.We experienced a very long wait but it was worth it, beautiful fish n' chips.. it seemed like a very popular place.. Very nice people.. definitely come back and try something else on their menu.. chairs and tables available on site.. Parking could be an issue if town is busy..
T.Had a great feed of Fish n Chips, Bluff Oysters and a super tasty Mount Burger with the Angus Beef pattie. The Friendly owners were only bested by their crispy batter. Tino reka!

B.We came after hiking and swimming in the area for dinner. There was a long wait (45 minutes to an hour) when we arrived around 1800, but that could be because it was a public holiday. We ordered a family meal for 5 of us.
Since it was a long wait we ended up going up to the Mauao summit and heading back to pick up the order. The tables outside were full but we just headed to the park to enjoy the food.
Food was nice. There was a decent amount of fish, chips and other fried goodies in the family meal.

g.Excellent fish n chips. Note that people criticising wait times neglect to mention that this shop is located right in the centre of a very popular tourist area. Food this good + lots of hungry visitors = of course the wait times will increase. Nice chance to wander to the beach or climb Mt Drury while you wait

C.Great location near main beach. Grab your FnC and head to one of the many beach front picnic tables and enjoy your meal. The seagulls and sparrows will happily finish off any crumbs and leftovers.

The chips needed more salt & the fish was too greasy but the burgers we’re reasonably priced & tasted pretty good. Add the salt & minus the grease these were awesome fish & chips!! We would buy here again for sure :)

We usually buy the Fish n Chips. 'The Fish fresh, almost as if you've just caught it yourself'. Prices to suit everyone, Family deals, staff friendly and clean premises. Take phone orders.

I.It might be the only one at the Mount to specialise in fish n chips but is THE one. The very best fish n chips. So great to get a bundle and go sit on the beach. Worth the wait, worth the money. So Kiwi, so mouth-watering, so great.

A couple decided to put on their best karen impressions to constantly complain about the wait, and the staff were wonderful, despite the awful attitudes of the customers.

L.We last came here a few years ago, in the midst of winter. And it was one of the best fish and chips we had that trip. My English wife often talked of it with fondness. We find ourselves back in the area this year, this time over summer, and went again. It did not disappoint. Fish cooked to scalding hot perfection. Our sampling of mussels, scallops and oysters as well. Not the best we've had, that title belongs to the coromandel oyster company where they're fresh from the farm. But very good.

S.While the chips were better than average, the Hot dogs are, I'm pretty sure, literally a budget sausage battered, as opposed to the usual nice tasty hot dog. Kids didnt like them Mum didnt and even I didnt eat them - which is saying something! Fish was standard.
I cant give it 3 stars because fish and chips is damn good. But there was no stand out brilliance here. Good chips, very bad hot dogs. (Of course this is just an opinion of one family).
L.Absolutely beautiful. I have tried several fish and chip shops in Mt Maunganui and Papamoa, but I think this shop beats them all. In fact I drive past 5 shops to get to this one as in my opinion they are definitely worth going further past all the others to get the best fish and chips in Mt Maunganui.

F.Very nice hoki, chips and kumara chips for a reasonable price. Staff were friendly and the place was very busy, so we had a 15min-20min wait. They were very organised tho and there were plenty of seats for those who were waiting. They have a large menu to choose from.

L.Delicious - ordered the fresh Snapper and a tarakihi, perfectly cooked, tasty, nice crispy batter with just that right amount of softness. Chips were great. Paua fritter was better than I remembered them being - it was a lovely big soft thing, rather than the little tough things I remember from my childhood.
