Visited 22/01/22 for Happy Hour. Great service and loved seeing a $10 Happy Hour deal on cocktails. The one I got was yummy. Had Gin which is my go to spirit ❤ great vibes had here too!!

I just had my 60th b-day here. The manager Tom was very accommodating with my requests for drinks and entertainment. He went out of his way to make sure we were looked after and wow! Thank you Tom and your team for making a memorable birthday from a very grateful 60yr old. We had 70 people in our group.

We had three meals Tacos, Pulled brisket burger and Salmon. Tacos was fine. Burger (meat) takes a long time for prepare (respect) but if cheese is melted on the meat is bad. Because soon is strange consistency as glue. Bun was great! Salmon was average. Service: young ladies were nice a professional, but why my rate is only 3? I asked if I can take my drink in a take away cup because I couldn’t finish it “ladies “ weren’t sure, so they asked manager and he started silly laughing ( unprofessional behavior) and said no and ladies said because of law. Of course is makes sense but if turists don’t know your law you don’t have to make fun of them. I can’t recommend it and probably I won’t go there again. For same or lower budget you can have better food. To not finish it sad the restaurant looks cool inside :)

Have been here a few times, cool spot and service is always good. Why only 3 stars? The food let it down this time, fish burger had a gluey consistency to the batter and did not look cooked, could not finish it was so bad, have had the fish before so I know it can be good. Did mention it and show them, got the reply that some thing had affected it, charged me full price and that was that. Can't blame the staff, they just work there and follow the chef rules I guess. So prob will try elsewhere after that:(

What a cute little place, great decor and atmosphere the meal and beer was excellent nicely finished off with a great coffee. Staff were very friendly and polite. the keg ran out whilst filling my handle so they give me a glass of beer as well as the mostly filled handle. Definitely stop there again the next time we're at the mount

The short: Good: Fast delivery and high quality of food. Peaceful, interesting and relaxing decor. Bad: Cleaning standards need improving. Tad on the expensive side. The long: At first appearance, this cafe presents you with decor that will always have you looking around for other interesting things hanging on walls and dangling from the ceiling. It’s far from a uniformed style, and falls comfortably under the eccentric and random visual appeal. The same applies for the toilets ... it’s rare for my wife to tell me ‘go look at the bathrooms’. Upon sitting we were presented with two glasses of water, one of which had not been properly washed and had lipstick from a previous customer still on the edge of our glass ... a lovely shade of tan. The drink menu is impressive, and would have been more so had they had the drink I ordered at the time. The food menu is fairly standard, however, the flavors of both the blue cheese sauce and the calamari were five star. A light crumb coating of the calamari had a gorgeous crunch and light flavoring, the blue cheese however was so good that we wanted to try it with everything, only to discover that it overpowers all other flavors. There were other dishes we saw leaving the kitchen that looked equally impressive. No questions asked during ordering led to a drink being sent back, but the fact that they don’t interrupt you could be seen as a good thing. Prices are perhaps a few dollars too high ... but this fact is countered by the quality of culinary delights. Overall ... more than satisfied, if only the glasses were cleaner.

Love this places decor. Now the reason I'm giving it 4 and not 5 is because we were a group of 4, two couple's, which was very obvious. We had all ordered separate meals from the breakfast menu and some stuff on the side. When the meals were brought out omg did they look and taste delicious. However the sides were all put together on one small bowel. We'd ordered three sides of creamy mushroom @ $4 each and we received a very small portion in one bowl. Now if it were just my partner and I then I wouldn't have minded but having to share with the friends partner, was a little awkward. The food was delicious and service good. Maybe next time just seperate the side dishes individually and spare a little more on the portion side. :-)

There may only be one vegan breakfast option, and the food was slow in coming, but oh boy. It was gorgeous, and tasty. As my wife said, it was art. A beautifully balanced dish. One of those meals with multiple facets to explore and talk about.

Amazing place. The only place crearing a fantastic night entertainment in Tauranga past 9.30pm on a Wednesday night. Every 3rd Wednesday Mount Social Club hosts Brazilian live music and dance. Absolutely amazing. Food and drinks are great and the service is outstanding. Love this place.

We prebooked a 50th birthday dinner for 15 people, I ordered starters to be on the table while people arrived and ordered drinks , the table was in an area away from lots of people when I arrived there was a group of girls seating themselves around our table and borrowing chairs for thier own group, the table we booked had no sign it was for a group booking, the starters for the table came out after 30mins of being there and what was ordered was x3 olives which would of been around 12 each dish, pesto and salsa x3 which came out with the pesto and salsa on crackers which were soggy and two cheese boards which were the highlight, for the price and quality of these dishes I would not recommend them I make far better platters at home and so could you. It was around 30$ each the cheese platter 11$ each for 12 olives (not stuffed just in oil) and the soggy cracker was around 18$ each. The service from staff was they were busy, so slow and most of the time our table had to get thier own drinks at the bar. We also had to ask for service when it came to ordering dinners and having the cake. Dinners from everyone's opinion only rated average, I had salmon with burnt crispy skin which is not nice and straight away indicates overcooked salmon, my partner had lamb which was chewy with sinew and accompanied with a terrible soggy rissotto, my sister had a mignon steak and ordered med/rare which came out well done and not at all melt in the mouth accompanied by a meh sauce and blah potato gratin, the highlight of our meals was the cake I bought which was tiramisu from the cheesecake shop, to finish the night of drinks Ive always liked thier coctails so ordered 2 espresso martinis which appeared popular and I love. That was a disappointment, first they use smaller glasses that are not at all martinis glasses in effect or quantity, the glasses were not prepped properly and the mix of the coctail itself was tasteless, it tasted like a shookup instant coffee. Unfortunately the overall experience has taken this venue off my top list of places to go for dining drinks or atmosphere. Although my partner enjoyed his birthday I could have enjoyed it more myself if the customer service and care was applied towards my family and friends and this reflected in gaining no tips and this review which I hope they can learn from

this place rocks! very relaxed and amazing food and service. Don't fooled by the small menu they specialise in what they do and do it well. Later in the evening things get electric with either live music or a DJ. Staff are amazing and helpful with a wide selection of wine, craft beers and spirits. A must do on your list in town

My new favourite place in the Mount. It has a rustic decor and atmosphere. They have quite a few vegan and gluten free options including a huge burger and fries. We had live Jazz music on a Sunday evening. Couldn't have been better. Highly recommended.

I do love the quirky atmosphere and all the different funky zones and decor of this place. The early/mid evening live music is always perfect for dining, and then more upbeat music takes us into the night. The staff are happy and helpful. The food is delicious, however, of the 6 dishes we ordered last night, 3 were unavailable. This has become a common occurrence there. Either their supply chain needs sorting or their menu needs tweaking as that reduces choice considerably. Please get this fixed Social Club so we can keep coming.

This is our local. We love the food, prepared by chefs who know what they are doing. Really friendly staff and acid/jazz music. Often live music. Ok vibe most nights and an eclectic group of punters there. Really like that there are no meat axe bouncers on the door. Nice tunes and I don’t feel uncomfortable dressing casually despite there always being a few dandy boys there. Stink you get pinged $5 for a coke when as a sober driver you’re bringing the punters in.

I walked in ordered a flat white and a Coke for my boy. Sat down and listened to the hot jazz for an hour. The coffee and music were tops. I walked out without paying for ANYTHING! When I realized that I had stolen goods in my belly I went straight back and fessed up. The lady didn't judge she just smiled and said thank you and transacted the transaction.
