Amazing!!! Love the food here. I'm not sure if they class themselves as fusion but it is very rare that I enjoy a fusion restaurant as much as the original. Highly recommend the ribs and the spring rolls. Happy hour is awesome too

Summer vibes. Such a beautiful foods and reasonable prices. I normally have the noodle salad with pork and deep fried pork spring roll. Tried that food from the Gourmet food trucks. It's so good. The crews are kind. :) They don't take a booking for a table. Walk in restaurant. Plus it's pretty easy to order on online for take away.

It’s Vietnamese fusion cuisine the flavor is ok. Was not too happy last night about the reception guy as we intend to get a table inside (we were recorded on the waiting list) when we saw empty table outside wanna change the mind, the guy wasn’t happy. it’s ok to wait but when we back to restaurant after 20 mins there were plenty of empty tables inside but nobody inform us…Reckon the customer service need to be improved.

My friend and I had heard a lot of good things about the restaurant and visited on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. All I can say is wow! Staff were super welcoming and helped my friend check with the kitchen team for halal-friendly menu items. We ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee to share and received an extra half serving on the house as it was the last of their ingredients for the day! The meals we ordered were the salt and pepper squid (massive), summer rolls (very fresh with a tasty sauce), vegan wontons (my favourite with a delicious sauce. I would buy it by the bottle!) and spicy prawn fried rice (lots of prawns, not super spicy but with a good kick). All delicious and such good value at $70 all up for the coffee, three entrées and a main meal. We had lots of leftovers which we took home. Thanks team! We will be back :)

Picked this place to have dinner in Tauranga after seeing the high rating. Overall not bad. Funky, lively ambience. The beef pho I ordered was a little below my expectation, the slice of lemon wasn't very fresh, good portion of beef but slightly overcooked for my liking, the broth was at least tasty. I also ordered some fried chicken wings with fish sauce in case there wasn't sufficient meat from the pho. They were surprisingly really delicious, almost finished the entire plate by myself.

Updated 13 Jan 22. We returned here 11 months later and was not disappointed. The salt and pepper squid was yet again amazing and won over our non fish eater primary schooler. The summer rolls and dipping sauce was incredible. And the vegan green curry fantastic. I'm not usually a fan of curries with coconut cream. However this one was not overly creamy and had a good amount of tofu and fresh vegetables! 5 stars again Dated 21st Jan 21 or there abouts I had walked by here a few times and it's always crazy busy so I was keen to try this place. I was not disappointed, we popped in quickly to grad one plate as an eat in and take the other one away as we had a pending tired child on our hands. The staff where fantastic and had no issues with working some plates eat in and the others take out. The vegan Wontons where honestly the best i have had in ages, even my omnivore partner enjoyed them and he reported that that the squid was amazing. Once we got home the ribs and vegan curry was consumed with leftovers for lunch. Don't be put off by the no booking system. The app they use is fabulous and we didn't have to wait long at all. !

The staff here were incredible during our Tuesday night visit which coincided with their 2-4-1 cocktail special evening which we obviously took advantage of. The food was great (the vegan wontons were INSANE). We were the last diners from about 9:30pm onwards and they allowed us to stay and finish up while they cashed up and closed inside. Never did we feel rushed or in the way. It’s honestly the little things like this that count. Would 100% recommend.

3 of us visited on Waitangi day. Less than half the food available at 8.30pm as they had sold out. The French waiter was rushing us to leave saying the kitchen was closing at 9.10pm and it was last orders after some of the food we'd ordered hadn't even arrived. The waiter wasn't even able to tell us what time they closed. According to Google its 10pm Not a good experience although the food was good what we did get.

Loved everything about this place - great food, drinks, service and decor. Between 2 of us we had the Fresh Summer Rolls, Beef Pho, and Waterfall chicken, all were super tasty, large portions and came out really fast. We were there on a Tuesday night when they have 2 for 1 cocktails, unfortunately you can’t mix and match so you have to order 2 of the same, but great value none the less. It was really busy when we were there but service was still friendly and efficient. Only slight negative is the music is too loud. Will definitely visit again if we’re ever back in the area.

The service was very good and the food came out very very quickly, the decor was something different and the choice of music was very up with the times, however when it came to the food side, it was sub par. 4.5 Stars! Everything I tried I had for the first time ever and I LOVED the fresh Summer Rolls and Cold Banana Sago Pudding. Very unique flavours and pretty quick service. The 2 for 1 cocktail special was also pretty good! I also had the Beef Pho and it was obvious to me that it had been well made (my boyfriend tried it and said it was really good) it just wasn’t one hundred percent my thing. Minus .5 stars because the music was turned up so high that everyone kind of just had to shout at one another. This place was at full capacity pretty much the whole time we were there so you can imagine how loud it was. Other than that, great experience and I would definitely come back to try some more dishes!

It’s my first time in Tauranga, and our amazing airbnb hosts ravingly recommended Rice Rice Baby to us for dinner. We went here late at night and it was packed. So we decided to just order online and have our food as takeaway. Soooo happy we did this as this is one of the BEST Vietnamese restaurants I’ve tried in 🇳🇿 so far!! We ordered the sticky chicken wings, salt and pepper squid, and ginger rice and just WOW 🤩 The chicken wings were slide off the bones amazing and flavourful, and the squid had this indescribably tasty sauce. Would have loved to taste the other items in their menu but would just have to save it for our next Tauranga trip. (Or please open a branch in Auckland!! 😆😋) Highly, highly recommended 👍

I would give it a 7 stars out of 5. We were attracted by the smell of the foods and tried it tonight. Everything is super good especially the Beef Noodle Soup. Wish I had a bigger stomach to try more different dishes.

It Was quite large, could probably share it, but I got lunch leftovers so was very happy about that. Keen to go back and try more, cocktails look good too. The vibe is a mix of trendy and beachy and colourful, and the place packs in the punters. I didn't see any Viet people on the floor but the pho and the summer rolls were above average Western palate offerings. There are not many pho choices (no tendon, my favourite), and for some reason you pay extra if you want the meatballs added. The soup was not served with any side dishes, oddly (no húng quế, rau mùi, rau răm, etc). The iced Vietnamese coffee was good, but nothing to write home about. Despite my negativity, a fine meal was on offer, and the place is a fun Westrnised version of a Viet eatery.

Firstly, there was some telecommunication troubles and even so rice rice baby accomodated us even when they were so so busy!! They went over and beyond with their service. Their food.. well.. A very nice Vietnamese restaurant, offering a wide range of traditional and modern dishes. A very cleverly designed cocktail menu. The restaurant doesn’t accept reservations but have a great waiting list system that sends you a txt message when your table is ready. It’s a very popular place, but definitely worth the wait.

100% Epic food, food is always on point. Pretty decent portion sizes too. My only complaint is it is SO loud in there, its really hard to hear people across the table - must be due to the shape on the room but they also put the music too loud. Please turn down the music, it should barely be hearable - people want to hear each other not the music. Staff are all backpackers - who at times don't offer very good customer service, almost feels like you are annoying them by eating there. However, fantastic food so I love going back :)

Rice Rice Baby offers delicious food that'll fill your tum at a great price. I often get two meals out of a main which is perfect for lunch the next day! My favourites are the Crispy Pork Spring Rolls, Chicken Noodle Soup and Creamy Chicken Curry. I ordered two small plates and two mains for pick up recently which was ready within 10-15 minutes of my order, fantastic! They also offer gift vouchers which make for great birthday presents.

Food was good, lots of flavor, good temperature, decent portion size and easy on the wallet too. Tried the Beef pho and Veg wontons. The stock was simply scrumptious. Noodles were well cooked. Beef was tender. None of the elements overpowered each other. The sauces provided worked well with the respective dishes. Visually, very appetizing dishes. 9/10 Pro Tip 1: Hit that pho with some sriracha sauce that is available on the table and transform your soup into a magical experience, straight to the heart of Vietnam! Pro Tip 2: Wash everything down with a Vietnamese Coffee after your meal. Made with vietnamese coffee and condensed milk, available hot or over ice. They make a great pairing to wash down that spicy sriracha feeling that has your lips tingling! They also have Hanoi and Saigon beer, which is quite a pleasant change to the regular brews that we have come to know and love. Everything from the menu to the tablecloth and cutlery was reminisce of Vietnamese markets and food stalls. The staff were polite and very friendly. The decor was bright and colorful, the music not too loud and the wait times were minimal. A very good experience overall if you're looking to experience true Viet cuisine. A full 5 stars and a definite Would Recommend!

We decided to give this place a go for lunch. We were not disappointed. Waterfall chicken and chicken noodle soup was packed with flavour. The spring rolls were delicious and the curry would have been too if it wasn't for the precooked chicken. If the chicken was cooked fresh it would have been stunning. Stepping into the restaurant was entering into another world. Bright, eclectic, mismatched and loud colours fill the space. The plastic stools and plastic table cloths take me right back to the streets of Ho Chi Minh City. We ordered and received our food super promptly. My friend had prawn, coconut and tumeric bites and crispy pork spring rolls. I opted for the spicy prawn fried rice. All the food was excellent but the prawn fried rice was out of this world! Look no further for the best SE Asian food experience anyone could enjoy in NZ. There’s a reason people flock here and if you do you’re taste buds will thank you, but the trouble is that the bar has now been set at extremely high level thereby ruining any Asian food restaurant from then on. Go for the chicken curry.

Great tasting food, the staff was very helpful in finding all the vegan options, however after our entire party ordered vegan food they brought us rice made with chicken stock (was not mentioned in the menu anywhere that their is chicken stock used) half our table ate that rice before I questioned the chef and was told it is not vegan. Why the heck would you not disciple that either on the menu or in person to us?? Owner seemed argumentative about that but did agree to take it off the bill. The atmosphere is that of a night club which I personally don’t enjoy but I would get take out from here again since the confirmed vegan options were delicious. Poor communication between chefs and staff though so be cautious.

The food was good when we finally got it after waiting for ages - people who came in after us were served before us. When the kind waitress apologised she offered us a free drink and one of the meals for free to compensate. Sadly when we went to pay the free meal had disappeared from the conversation so we had to pay for it - the manager was pretty grumpy. Also we asked to split the bill. My friend was asked to pay $23.50 so I expected I would pay the same. When I got home I realised I had paid $35.50 and they had not split the bill 50/50. Too many mistakes - won't be back.

My friends and me were here on Saturday. Food was really good so we decided to come back today. We were charged a 15%surcharge on Saturday bc it was Boxing Day and we were fine with that (common practice in some restaurants) but they charged us again today because Boxing Day was Mondaydised. I asked one of the servers about that and she mentioned that those were 2 different public holidays (???). Another server came and he told me that the staff got paid 1.5 times on both days, although this is not what the Holidays Act mentions when a public holiday falls in a Saturday. Then he told me I had two options, I could either stay or leave. The restaurant offers delicious food, but I felt very uncomfortable after that comment. There's no need to be rude with customers. Still, food was really good and our first visit was great.

The food was delicious and a great take on some old Vietnamese classics the bun was out of stock though so will be back for that.
