This was my childhood best Fish and chip shop ever! Because they are on the way to Mahia beach they really know how to cook cool things like Paua fritters. Don’t be put off by the size and old world appearance of this shop.

The both fish and half chips was top class. Sometimes the 2nd fish at other f/chip shops can bs suspect..... I will be back to revisit the coast after April, hopefully bring them some great magazines for the shop.

This was the best I e ever eaten! Crunchie chips with enough salt to boost. The fish was fresh and lightly battered and cooked all the way through! I'm just in awe on how delicious our lunch was today. The best in Hawke's Bay and probably in all of NZ. If you know you'll be passing just not Monday's, stop in and give them a try. A++++++
