D.Look, this has to be the best Indian in the country. And it’s also the best Indian I have had since London.
All the usual white-people dishes are stunning. But if you’re keen, ask the kitchen to serve you whatever they recommend and you’ll be in heaven.
The lamb chops can’t be missed. They are maybe one of my most favourite dishes in Aotearoa.
You need to go here. Asap.
M.Not your average Indian restaurant so don’t expect curries for $15-16. Great food, lovely ambience (and a bad@ss waitress who could have been a tad polite). Loved their Burrani Raita. Would definitely go to this place again if in Napier.
H.Not just you average India restaurant. They have an extensive menu of delights and the friendly staff were able to recommend some great dishes. This is a small restaurant so I'd recommend making a booking ahead of time.

n.Late review. I must appreciate Preeti's polite behaviour and excellent customer service skills.It was a public holiday and restaurant must have been busy. The way she understood my order was awesome as we were out of town and ordered a delivery. She understood the instructions very clearly and I must appreciate the delivery driver on that night who found my address.When we came back home at 1 am in night and found food at my doorstep which I wrote in the instructions ,my eyes literally lightened up and appreciated Preeti and delivery driver.Hats off to you both.On top of that,Food was very delicious and curries were fantastic.
V.We went to Rasoi once on a 2 day trip to Napier. Would have definitely gone again if I had stayed there any longer.
Cocktail list is great. Menu is a step up from typical Indian restaurant.. variety is just wow.
We ordered dahi purees n they were the best. The Mango kulfi was a delicious nice ending to a very wonderful meal. Very creative plating too.

Complex flavour combinations and quality ingredients, and even the more familiar comfort meals were a bit special. Very good wine selection and friendly customer service in a nicely decorated space. B.The staff here are so awesome it's been a little while since I've been here but came back a few days ago and it was amazing as always the takeaway meal I got had amazing flavor and I would go as far to say that it's the best Indian cuisine in Napier. Great job guys. And of corse I had to try one of there tap beers while I waited but the beer could have been colder but it was just cold enough.

S.What a find, tucked away on the Marine Parade (across from Putt Putt) in Napier and I have never tried it before. Major contender for the best Indian Restaurant and definitely not your average Indian. The menu is outstanding and extensive, there is something for everyone. Today we tried the Cheese Dumplings and the Lamb Korma. They were the two of the best Indian dishes we have ever tried. Authentic toppings and Paratha (nuts and fruit) all jaw dropping and moreish. 100% recommend. Will definitely be going back.
N.Yummy, yummy food. They sat us without a reservation which was much appreciated but we waited quite a while for our meals. The lamb shoulder was delicious- so tender. I preferred the flavoring of the korma though. The naan was nice, not the best I've ever had though. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

D.A must try in Napier! We were served by Preeti today and she was marvellous and so welcoming. She made sure my dietary requirements were catered too and made sure we were really comfortable. M.I had dinner with two friends and we all agreed it was the best meal we have ever eaten in an Indian restaurant. We started with vegetable samosas. Our main course was three vegetarian dishes and they were all wonderful. We asked for medium heat and each dish was ideally seasoned to us. Definitely coming again when I return.

T.I live locally and tried Rasoi for the first time tonight. This is the best Indian food I've ever had! No left overs due to everything being eaten and even my kid's enjoyed it which is saying something! One of the very few times we've received our actual order from any takeaway/delivery service plus free naan bread and the delivery guy was on time and very polite! 5+ star for me!

S.Ok so we went there after reading reviews but it was nothing special infact we found it overpriced. Ordered tandoori roti and rumali roti both turned out to be quite different so not impressed. I will say portion size was good however that is expected when you pay more.

T.I'd been to Rasoi two prior times to this and hadn't been that impressed, so I wasn't expecting much this time.
Boy, wrong attitude. It was excellent this time. Beautiful starter: dips and poppadoms, followed by very flavoursome entrees. The main course was so lovely, I had a Venison dish and the meat was just so tender and flavoursome.
The service was excellent, they were very accommodating of the four young children dining with us (sorry other diners we did try to control them as best as possible) and were always on top of drinks etc.

F.Take your time to read the VERY extensive menu. There is lots of standard favorites and tons of new innovative Indian dishes. A pretty good wine list and full bar facilities. The service was friendly and professional.What I generally dislike about Indian restaurants is that there seems to be a lot of different sauces pre-made and you choose your meat, fish or vegetables and they get added to the sauce.
T.This must be one of the best Indian restaurants outside of India (and we've been to so many of those) - and it would still shine if it were in India itself! Every single thing was absolutely delicious. Portions are generous. The place itself is quite nice, and staff is great. Can't recommend highly enough!

This small and friendly restaurant is worth a visit but be aware that due to its size and NZ diners habit of wanting to be fed at 730ish, wait staff can get overwhelmed and you might have to compete for timely attention. It's worth it though. Enjoy.

In fact we had looked out for the restaurant named Indigo which surprisingly turned us down and turned us off because they simply shut shop at a time when we as a large group were hungrily looking for a place to eat
They actually turned us down and told us they would not entertain us. Which is when our walk arising took us to Rasoi and they lived up to their name and culture to offer food and live it up
The Chef took a lot of effort to make great food and had the large group be offered a large choice

K.Friendly welcome, delicious food. We went for a casual dinner and were nearly overwhelmed by the choices. The opportunity to chose the degree of spiciness was much appreciated by me - mild is fine. The fantastically balanced flavours and meal size provided for a great finish of a great day.
Only comment might be, that the request for some water for the table was answered with bringing a 500ml bottle for the three of us, instead of the in other places freely available and commonly provided (tap) table water with "refill".

Softest, best cooked scallops iv had, what would have made it even better was if they had kept the roe of the scallop on instead of taking it off, its the most delicious part! maybe ill have to ask if they can leave it on next time

D.Honestly was not looking for an Indian meal but glad I came here! I was heading to the fish restaurant next door but it was closed. So, never passing up the opportunity for a curry I popped in for lunch. The staff were extremely helpful accomodating my odd lunch order (no rice or breads). The samosas and paneer tikka masala was scrumptious!! The food was really tasty with just the right amount of heat/spice. I wish this place was on my high street !

R.We sat in a shady corner outside which was pleasant. We both ordered a salad each for lunch, one arrived fairly quickly but I waited a good fifteen minutes longer for mine to arrive. It was described as being served with a naan bread, which did not arrive with it, and when I asked for it, it was immediately brought to the table but was only just warm.
The food we had for a light lunch was nice enough, and the staff were pleasant.

G.2nd time here, and 2nd time I've been blown away the presentation and quality of the food. Everything tastes freshly prepared, and absolutely bursting with flavour. Our group was not disappointed with anything. Our only problem was that we over ordered, which I suspect is a commercial n occurance. Plenty of vegetarian dishes, as to he expected. And you can choose the hear level too, from mild to Indian hot. Will definitely be returning for a 3rd visit. Oh, staff can be very busy, but always manage a smile and offer great service.
O.If you’re after great Indian food this is the place. Probably the best Indian feed I have ever had and I have had a few over the years. Service was excellent and there was also a well priced wine list. Ticks all the boxes for me. Book a table to avoid disappointment.
A.The food was lovely just the service wasnt the same as last time we only got offered 1 drink and had to ask for another. My friend ordered an orange juice but raro came out in a glass . Also we had just finished our mains then got told is that all and then asked to leave as the table was booked for someone else. It would have been ok if we got told as soon as we got there but not after our mains felt it rather rude .

B.The food here is amazing. The ambience is perfect and not claustrophobic. Menu was very elaborate and overwhelming and hence the 4 stars and not 5. It's very hard to choose with too many pages and items on a menu... Hope that changes.

Beautiful decor, wonderful service and incredible food. We were lured in by the incredible smells coming from within, and we were not disappointed!!
We had the Chicken Tikka trio and the paneer kadhai. The chicken was succulent and juicy, perfectly spiced. The paneer was seasoned to be really tasty, with just the right amount of space, as requested. The naan was crisp on the outside, fluffy inside and the basmati was cooked exactly as it should be. The portions were generous, with my husband and I leaving stuffed.
In addition, there kids meals had a huge assortment, with crazy big proportionsp something to serve everyone's taste. All that for a crazy reasonable price (honestly, they should raise their prices at least 20-30%, the value is definitely worth even more) .
Thank you for such a lovely meal with great service .
L.The staff stayed open for us on a Sunday night (in my own experience in hospitality it makes for a long shift) and didn't rush us whatsoever. I.Great restaurant. Walked in and got the last table available and were served some lovely snacks as an appetiser. We only had the mains after that and that was plenty - the foor was great with excellent service and a very wide range of food and beverages

We went to Rasoi for my daughters birthday party and were really surprised with Quality of food. being an indian we know what is the real indian food what we used to eat back in India we all felt like we are in Delhi and eating at our favourite restaurant in Delhi.
I never wrote any reviews but after eating here i felt like I needed to spread my experience here at this wonderful place .

L.Went there on Friday night, 4 of us. Felt like we were ignored all night, had to get staff attention and ask for everthing. Service was awlful booked for 7pm didnt get our mains till 9.15. Spent alot of money. Complained on
the way out but no discount was offered. Food however was excellent.
