Super clean and tidy, place looked new and their Chicken Briyani is yummy. Great friendly service. Would definately come again when we are in Napier next time.

Finally tried this place and was pleasantly surprised! Inexpensive, quality home cooked Indian food. My favorite was the Garlic Naan, super light, fresh and fluffy. Poppadoms were good. We had the non vegetarian starter, which was all meat! Delicious Red sizzling Chicken with the green sauce, the lamb roll thing I wasnt such a fan of. I would normally go for a Butter Chicken but we tried their Saag Paneer (Spinach and Cheese) mild, and the Chicken Dhansak (a Persian curry dish). Both were good, very tasty and dishes COME WITH RICE! Very reasonable prices. Definitely wanna go back to try everything else on the menu! .

Usually excellent, on last visit they didn't have Vegetables as they had run out. Strange as they are next door to pac and save. ???

Went to an Italian restaurant two weeks ago and they were playing soft 80s music. It was so nice sitting down at Spice Hut and hearing (what sounded like to me) authentic Indian music. Menu is relatively standard, but there were a couple of dishes I have not seen before (or often enough to remember). Really beautiful welcoming smile and service. The Paneer curry was creamy, and the medium hot spices didn't kill the flavour. Spice Hut isn't a 5 Star dining experience, but with excellent service, tasty curries, and medium-sized meals at 13-17$, it's excellent value for money. Will definitely return and try the Achari Chicken!

Have tried 4-5 indian takeouts in the Greenmeadows/Taradale/Tamatea area... This is by FAR the favourite! Food was Soo flavourful, service was excellent and delivery prompt and on time! Only downside is I ate far more than I intended because it was so good!!! Think I've found my new local!

Loved the free delivery over $20. Easy online ordering but the butter chicken was very tomatoey and not like other butter chickens I've had from other restaurants. Would've loved it to be more buttery and less tomato based?

Have been here many times and had awesome takeaways. Great curry, friendly staff and very clean. Ate in last night with friends that hadn't been before. We were all very impressed with the food and the premises. Will be back.

We fount Spice Hut by chance today, because we went to the supermarket next door. We had a Daal dish and Butter Chicken, both were excellent. The restaurant is very clean and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our order was cooked quickly and was excellent. We noticed that three Indian gentlemen on the next table also enjoyed their food, I guess that means it is authentic :) We highly recommend Spice Hut Tamatea

My favourite lunch, delicious. Tasty, tender and excellent quick service. Arun is such a nice guy too. Tried a dinner tonight, fish dish to die for.

We love Spice Hut Tamatea. The food is delicious. The restaurant is clean and well presented. The staff are delightful. They deserve the award they won recently. We recommend Spice Hut to all our friends and go there regularly. Shukrya.

Being a chef and also a big lover of Indian cuisine, I have struggled to find an Indian restaurant in Hawkes Bay that has offered a completely flawless meal. I can wholeheartedly say that the Spice Hut delivers not only fresh, flavour packed and authentic Indian cuisine... but also delivers with their wonderful customer service and clean/modern restaurant. I'm always so impressed by their meals that I won't be going anywhere else and encourage everyone give the Spice Hut a try... I highly doubt they will disappoint. Thanks to the BEST Indian restaurant in HB.

The first visit I had the Chicken Tikka Masala...medium... absolutely delicious . The following week I had a Madras, medium I thought medium would be hot enough but I think the next one I will try a med/hot. Ive had now, for the second time in a row the Chicken Korma and again....absolutely delicious. I went med/hot and glad I did. Next time I think I will be brave and go hot. Well it got the hot Korma tonight and it didn't disappoint.... hot hot hot and absolutely yummy.

This has to be the best Butter chicken I've ever tasted. Go there all the time, I never liked butter chicken before and I've tried many Butter chickens and non as good as Spice Hut! I travel from Flaxmere to Tamatea just for their Butter chicken.

Had a wonderful lunch,the service was excellent with very friendly and helpful wait staff. Highly recommended and will try again soon.

Best Indian food in Hawkes Bay IMHO, The delivery drivers are always really nice and the food is sooo good, would highly recommend this restaurant.

Lovely food really friendly pleasant people..clean bright and lovely to have a sit down meal ..

Service here is really good. Some of the meals are below par but naan and roti are cooked much better than any restuarant. I like the aalo gobi and chicken tikka from this place.
