A.Good chips, fresh fish nicely battered, I got it home after a 4 minute drive and the batter was soggy and hugely stuck to the paper.
You have a good product, present it better, either put a few chips under the fish to stop it sticking to the paper, or better still, go the cardboard box style of presentation, it's a shame to get home with good fish with a crispy batter that is soggy when you put it on the plate.
I don't mind paying extra for the box.
Take my advice, you won't regret it.

K.All taste and presentation of food was very nice. Too long to wait. Phone ordered @ 5pm advised 6.20 pick up. Got there in time for pick up waited another 20+ minute and then a buger ws missing. Waited more for that one. Then home to find iut another burger missing. It was immediatly cooked and we picked that up then. Only 1senior persn cooking thre rest very busy and good working teens. But they need at least 2-3 people working on the burgers when they are that busy.. Shame.. Nice people though pleasant service

The chips arent as fluffy, so may have been a cost change?
The fish portions are still more than ordered which is a bonus.
The oils aren't as bad, must be still vegi oil. Either way, Woody's sill one of the best around.

N.Iv tried every fish and chip shop in Hawkes bay and this shop is honestly my go to every single time I couldn't recommend a better place to any one out there. You will not be disappointed, the batter one the fish is perfect every single time along with the there perfectly chrisp chips.
M.These guys are probably still making food despite having "closed" an hour ago (Xmas Eve). Friendly, clean and great food even under pressure. The grilled gurnard was cooked to perfection. We'll be back in the New Year.
R.A real surprise, really nice food. Ordered gurnard which was a bit dearer but was very nice. Sells fish chowder $7 which was really tasty.
C.This was totally the best fish n chips I have ever had in my decades on this earth. No kidding. It has made all other takeaway shops fade into disappointment for me. Why can't others do this great! Not the cheapest around but i would pay that again and again for that quality. Young staff and great service.
