A.Thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of Arden. Friendly greeting check, look of restaurant check, walk through to courtyard...wait a minute...huge check ;) Ambience, decor, efficiency, cocktail list and menu more huge checks, food and drinks excellent in all respects. Kudos to Arden, Nelson's very own laneway restaurant to be reckoned with
J.Delicious selection of food and wine, and the service was equally satisfying. You rarely come across personable and knowledgeable wait staff with charms these days, yet this is exactly what we got when we visited which just makes the whole experience that much better.
J.Loved the food here - amazing range of food and great portions. Staff informed us of how much to order and was perfect amount. Cocktails were lovely but a bit small. Great service and friendly staff!

G.We went for the Sunday special "Feed Me" menu where you don't select what to eat. Instead, they serve a variety of small dishes which equal a full meal. It was like a montage for my mouth which ended in a fireworks grand finale of flavour. 10 of 10 would dine again.

j.Even though we did not have a booking we were cheerfully greet and told we could sit outside in their courtyard. It was a chilly evening but we were seated bedside a very warm heater. It was dark but lovely sift lighting and no problem reading the menu as they gave us a magnifying torch to read menu. We were on our way to Dancing for Cause so needed something light and quick and were served the Delicious Salmon tartar with homemade Lavosh.
Quite pricey at $54 for 2 red wines and the plate for 2 to share (small portions). But well worth the experience.
M.Seriously awesome food. The gnocchi was top draw. Also very excellent wine list, I recommend the Unkel Pinot Noir if they have it, very unique wine.
Excellent out doors area with a view of the neon techno church lights at night.

I.Food was great, even if meant for more than a solo diner. But very well presented and so tasty. And the loo at the bottom of of the garden must be the classiest ever!!!

M.We visited Arden for dinner on the last night of our road trip from Queenstown (visiting from NYC). We enjoyed a range of dishes but my absolute favourite was the boquerones. The meal was truly one of the best I’ve had in a while. I wish there was an Arden closer to home!

D.This is by far my favourite place in town. Excellent wine selection, beautifully crafted cocktails and spirits selection and the food is astounding. All around perfect place to eat, drink or just have a nice filter coffee and snack. And the staff are amazing!
D.A nice intimate dinning experience, its very hard to hear when it's busy though. Food is small plates that taste great, but had to ask for the rest of our order as it didn't all come out. Great place to have a drink and nibbles with friends. Worth trying.

A.Wonderful food, casual atmosphere and excellent staff, we came on a Sunday and had the Feed Me menu - 6 share plates chosen by the chef. On a busy night the time between courses was long but the food was worth the wait! Definitely a top pick if you're visiting Nelson!

J.Great little cocktail bar with excellent sharing meals/tapa's. Did the whole menu, the pate and goat cheese with honey and thyme were epic, the miso broccoli less so. Discrete professional service, great beverage options and well mixed cocktails. Thoroughly recommended.

M.Good quality local food (but note dinner menu choices are limited), excellent wine list which avoids boring supermarket wines, interesting sherry (Jerez, PX etc) and cocktail list. Recommend for courtyard lunch of gourmet cheese + wine.
P.Brilliant little spot. The service was impeccable and the drinks were perfect. Nice quiet afternoon so there were just a few here do we had nice seats where we wanted. Really enjoyed it here chatting over a drink.
K.ARDEN is a small taste of Melbourne in Nelson. A great range of drinks and an amazing selection of beautifully prepared dishes that taste incredible. Staff are tentative and the service top level. ARDEN also has a delightful garden bar out the back for summer. Want to go back very soon!
L.Great organic wine! The only place in Nelson I have found that has organic wine available. Taking all the girls back there for a girl’s night with delicious wine + cheese and yummy desserts!

A.One of the most amazing restaurant i've been in New Zealand. The prices are more than fair and th menu is masterfully crafted with amazing products and subtles french vibes. Every flavours is perfectly balanced with the others and to add to that the staff is friendly and super efficient.
Go there they definetly know their stuff !

J.One of my favourites in Nelson. The food is superb, as is the wine selection to accompany the great dishes. I highly recommend the broccoli, but all the dishes are great.
The ambience and the decor are well set, as is the friendly and knowledgeable service. A place not to miss in Nelson.
