I came here on Thursday night for 1/2 price pizza night. It was the best pizza ever. Service was good to and they were very friendly. The chef Luca is originally from Italy and he knows how to make amazing Italian cuisine. Started with wines, then the pizzas. After we had the Tiramisu and Afogato for dessert, delicious! Will be back to try the other items on the menu! 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Kind, polite and professional staff. Loved the raw onions on the pizza! It's pretty busy on your half price pizza day, so make sure you make a booking! The pizza is good but I probably wouldn't say it's amazing.

Great coffees, pizzas and Italian dishes. Comida is a fusion of cultures on the table, however the portions are eventually disappointing if you consider the price. Service was very friendly until my partner offered his genuine feedback about the salad portion vs cost of it. The Mediterranean shop attached to the cafe is amazing!

Nice selection on the dinner menu, full flavour dishes, we did however have to wait over 1hr and 20min after ordering to receive the main meal. Overall not bad.

Great interior setting. Service level was good. Had a good choice of Spanish, Italian and French cuisine to choose from. I just had a small pasta dish from the evening menu, you can choose to go with gluten free pasta, however I didn't see much choice in the menu or it wasn't to clearly marked but my own fault for not enquiring more. Overall great quality food for mid range prices.

Unfortunately the restaurant did not meet my expectations. The only vegan item on the Menu was vegan chocolate cake. There were Vegan cook books but no vegan food.

Very disappointed. I've heard such great things about Comida and tonight was my first night dining there. Our waitress was lovely and everyone else's meals were great. I ordered the risotto and was so disappointed, such a small serving for $26.00 and was so bland, no flavour at all and not a creamy risotto as it should be, also not hot. No one came to check and see how our meals were, if they had, I would have been able to let you know how my meal was. Also, waitress left dessert menus then never came back to take our orders. Ordered wine when I arrived, and that was the only one I had. Waitress did come back once to ask if we needed more drinks, but it wasn't long after we'd ordered our first drinks, no we said no. She never asked again. Went to pay and still was not asked how our meals were. So disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic as always this is the only place I eat when visiting Nelson which would be 4 to 5 times a year while shopping in the city. Never disappointed the meals are very worthy of my 5 stars and I eat and travel the world. The staff are always pleasant and happy never had a bad experience.

Great Italian food and choice of drinks. Reasonable prices. I always go there when shopping in Nelson. Always have an interesting menu for breakfast and brunch. Very good waiters and service. Also have a good selection of Mediterranean groceries, cheeses and foodstuff at the shopfront.

Three of us for dinner on a Wednesday night. Ordered three mains and two sides. Food was absolutely incredible, meat and fish perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. Service was friendly and helpful. Low-key, non pretentious and relaxed atmosphere. Cannot recommend enough!

My husband and I had dinner last night (14/3/19) at Comida, and it was an absolutely 100% positive experience! The two girls that waited on us are so the right people for the job. Warm, Friendly, outgoing and engaging. The food was so delicious, full of flavour and beautifully presented. We will definitely be returning sometime and highly recommend. Well done Comida and thank you again to our talented Indian chef that tantalised our taste buds and very much satisfied our hungry tummies. :-)

I visit Comida at least once a month for a catch up with friends. I tend to just have a small range of dishes and some wine In the comfy seats near the counter. This is more private than the main dining area. The food is always excellent and so far the wine that Luca ( Yes there is one at the Boatshed too! ) recommends has been perfect. I often will then buy a bottle from the retail part of the shop to take home. In summary great service e great food and great people

We went there for dinner last night.Limited but high quality menu. Excellent food. A little tweaking would improve the dishes of some of the party but chef was very aware and accomodating. Service also could have a slight tweak but thats just being picky. Excellent Italian food. Nice location. Excellent atmosphere. Try it you will love it. One of Nelsons best.

We had lunch here during the February holiday period. Speedy service, despite the cafe being busy. There is a wide choice of cabinet food, plus blackboard menu options. We had fritters for one, and squid for the other, from the menu. The servings were a good size and the food fresh and tasty. Good coffee too. This is a really good lunch option in central Nelson if you want a light meal.Also don't miss the adjoining Prego deli.

Came here for dinner one night, beautiful restaurant, really modern interior and so inviting. Service was one of the best I've received, so friendly and able to make suggestions for my vegetarian friend. Would definitely come back again, and I will, have also recommended to a few friends who also had the same great experience.

I'm a regular to Comida, have probably had everything on the menu at least once! Great little place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Their home made hash browns are to die for, and if you get a chance to go to a Paella night - do it! All food is really fresh and really good value for money, always served with a smile, what more could you want?

This is the all stop shop for us, we can go in for brunch or coffee on a Saturday, or any day really and then buy our ingredients for the food we love to cook at home, Italian, Spanish and Lebanese. The staff are terrific and the owners, well are just the best ever! The food is excellently cooked with a lovely variety to suit all tastes. We have been goin to their buisness now for 10 years, it has changed since then but I guess thats a great testament to the welcoming nature of this great shop/cafe. Keep up the great work everyone. Comida is a great spot to stop off at for a coffee and cake with friends and then do a spot of shopping in their deli section, where they have some wonderful Italian and Mediterranean goodies for sale. The restaurant menu is varied and the food is always delicious.

As regular visitors to Nelson, almost every week, we make it to Prego's/Comida for either our coffee or lunch break. We have never been disappointed by our choice of cabinet food and are always pleased by the service that we receive. Long may it continue!

Lovely food and service. We started with a cheese platter. The cheese platter was huge with homemade chicken liver pate, gorgous cheeses, salamis and even some parma ham. Then we had pizza, paella (which was served with aioli!) chicken and the clam pasta. All were delicious and the service was lovely! Definitely coming back

This is a fantastic cafe/restaurant- one of the best in Nelson! A great place to eat a lovely lunch or pick up great picnic supplies. Their dinners are also exceptionally good with a wide range of choices including paella on Thursday nights. There is a great gourmet grocery/deli as well we're you can buy amazing imported frozen Italian ravioli, gnocchi , fresh cheeses and beautiful prosciutto, chorizo, pancetta etc. Don't miss out!

This restaurant is located in a terrific Mediterranean grocery market and has a casual atmosphere. The lunch we had was quite good, and it would be a nice outing to combine a meal and a shopping trip.
