Nice food good service. Small but filling dishes. Great place to go if you want to do shared platters for the table.

Outstanding….we had the chef’s choice on a First Table deal and really weren’t expecting much (we eaten here a few years ago and it was pretty average) but the food was really fantastic, imaginative, balanced, different, beautiful seasoned, layered full flavours, subtle pairings, satisfying and great value. The chef has worked here for 18 months and we’d wish we known how good he as definitely would have visited prior. Great service too and good selection of craft beers and a decent wine list. Totally recommended (apparently the chef changes the menu on a regular basis depending on what’s in season etc) and we will be back. Thanks guys for an amazing dining experience… really enjoyed the everything.

The food is incredible, it's all delicious. As are the cocktails and great selection of wines and beers. The staff are incredibly attentive and the atmosphere is relaxed. A fantastic night out.

Amazing. The lamb was melt in your mouth good with fantastic flavours. They catered for a dairy free dessert even though it wasn't on the menu. The service was fantastic and very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend going in for a meal. If we had more time we would have tried the Chefs choices. A mix of the meals they have, would have been great based on the meals we received. Thank you for a great meal out.

Love love love! Shane is the consumate professional. I am fortunate to come regularly for a fix of fabulous food and always experience outstanding service from the whole team. I have never been disappointed. If you value consistently delicious seasonal food from authentic and personable staff, you've found your perfect evening out.

A splendid anniversary dinner with fantastic food and great service. We chose the option of letting them choose the meals for us and had absolutely no regrets, expecting the grand finale to be a small fruit or desert plate and to our delight out pops a very tasty grilled chicken dish - tremendous value. Shane our server was also very friendly and knowledgeable and made the night a memorable experience. Do not eat anything before you go.

Very good atmosphere. Food excellent. You have to get the kumara!! Went back later in week it was so good. The Sunday roast is top shelf.

Parts & Service is quite possibly the best dining experience we have ever encountered. The entire evening was utterly sublime. I just wish I could give it higher than 5 stars as we were left entirely speechless at what was prepared for us. We arrived at our table with the most sincere of greetings. We really wanted to do a Trust the Chef / Leave it to us. Our request for an entirely vegan option (one in our party was Vegan) was rather out of the ordinary. Though in doing so, the kitchen accepted this request and the magic of the night was truly unveiled as we shared the delight and anticipation of the waiting staff and the chef as each dish was made purely ad-hoc and in an experimental fashion. At one point, we heard that someone in the kitchen had ran to another restaurant to get hold of some Tofu for us specially. We were left in suspense at what the next plate was to be; filling the entire evening with fascination which made it a tantalising experience. We were so pleased to learn that we spent in excess of 4 hours at this restaurant which was a result of the experience and atmosphere of the night being truly sensational. We were so humbled that we, as customers, received a handshake from the front of house staff and we were ever so pleased we got an opportunity to meet Jasper, the chef who had prepared the most outstanding of vegan dishes and dessert for Trust the Chef / Leave it to us menu. To also note, the Josper Barbeque is a wonderful piece of equipment which elevated the flavour of every plate we enjoyed. Sincerely, the skill, care and dedication from everyone involved that evening (28 Oct 21) has left us struggling to comprehend a time we could compare this level of ingenuity, craft and delight. We thank you for leaving us with a lifetime memory. We would be thrilled to come here again when we next visit Nelson!

So many positives. The scrumptious lemon infused vodka cocktails (tamarillo smash) were stand out. Service from when I walked in the door was impeccable. I ordered the mouth watering lamb shoulder. The sauce was so good I was tempted to lick my bowl in middle of resturant. Menu was outstanding. Mix of shared meals/sides and mains

We had our 15th wedding anniversary here and it was absolutely amazing, great food and amazing staff. Thank you for making a memorable evening for us.

Omigosh, how to describe how amazing Parts and Service is. They gave us complimentary bread which was some of the best I have had. The lamb was to die for, melt in your mouth.. heaven! Dessert... Chocolate ganache, with Marscapone and freeze dried mandarin.. Divine. Will be back, a great many more times I would think. And the service, incredible. Friendly and helpful. A+++

Just a hands down outstanding experience consistently at this establishment. Truly memorable food every time we've been here. Service with enthusiasm , just the right amount of attentiveness, and polish. couldn't recommend more!

They gave a free coffee one day in town.We said we would return. Have been back many times since. Best food in town. Great service. Do try the menu that gives you 8 courses where they decide. It's an experience of a lifetime to dine there. Best chef in town....Service is superb.

We had a really lovely evening at Parts and services for our 50 th. Wedding anniversary. The service was amazing and the food was delicious and very reasonable. The staff were friendly and welcoming.As visitors to Nelson we were delighted to find such a delicious place to eat. We will certainly be back next time we visit Thank you.. we sere we sere

This was the best meal we have out in a long time. Fresh delicious well thought out food. The service was exceptional and the portions generous. We plan to become regulars and work our way through the menu. Next time we will try and save space for dessert.

Just had a really fab meal. We were a group of 4 and had the chef’s selection. A really yummy mix of menu items that meant we didn’t have to make the choices. The food just kept on coming and a delicious selection of tasty morsels. Staff were fun and friendly. Highly recommended😄

We loved the " leave it to us " menue and enjoyed each of the 8 courses very much. We were in heaven. We will definitely be back. The cocktails are extraordinary too. The staff is awesome.

Parts and Service tonight was fabulous. The staff were amazing. Very welcoming and relaxed to the whole party including a special needs guest. The food was awesome, good pricing and relaxed venue. As locals, it will be one of first choices when dining out.

Myself and my husband went in the a drink and something to eat. The service was amazing, they really treated you so well. They were very welcoming and friendly and the food was yummy we would highly recommend

Really tasty food, friendly staff and a great location - wonderful for people watching! I had crispy eggplant, lamb shoulder, and a mousse for pudding and it was all delicious, very happy with everything.

Love this place, great atmosphere and fabulous food, we had the best waitress we have ever had, her name is Taylor, she was so helpful and attentive, she took her time to go through the menu with us, nothing was too much trouble for her, we were visiting Nelson to meet up with friends and Taylor made the evening the best ever!! Totally recommend this place.

Great food and service. My husband and I love this place. Just celebrated his birthday and the service was great. We haven't had a bad meal and the food and service is consistently great. Love the crispy squid, burgers, flank steak, smoked fish pate...on and on...it is all amazing.

The service from the staff elevates the dining experience higher than the already yum food does. Thanks Shane, chefs and team.

Nelson CBD location. Medium size restaurant offering a limited choice of excellent food specialing in small plates to share and their Josper Charcoal Grill. The five of us shared 6 small plates as our main meal. Sufficient. Thai Fish Ceviche and the Pork Belly & Squid delicious. Apparently the steaks are excellent cooked on their charcoal grill oven. The name Parts & Service doesn't reflect the decor as might be expected like a workshop theme. But the waitering service was exceptionally good so this probably explains the name. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Prices comparable. Didn't have dessert. Toilets were kinda on the outside of the building but just fine. I would go again.

Highly recommend the 'leave it to us' option. It is an awesome taster of a variety of food from their menu that looks teeny from the outset, but is incredibly satisfying and fulfilling.

Went for a work Christmas party never heard of this restaurant prior to this occasion , we went and enjoyed a 8 different items off the menu my initial opinion was caution however after the first entree came out everything changed. The quality of EVERYTHING that was presented to us was to a standard ive not often experienced in Nelson yet! I don't often write reviews however this calls for a 5 star everything we ate was something i wish i could re-create at home but i feel i lack the skill. Upmost respect for this establishment based on quality and how every single person at the Christmas party was in love with every dish! Lastly the wait staff and bartenders were friendly and would give you a nice amount of banter!! love this place have already been back since the Christmas party (3 days ago) and will be back again!! will be recommending this place to everyone i know love it! Thanks Team!!

An extraordinary meal with great service. It is one of my favorite restaurants in NZ.

Home made fries were unappealing 'lumps' of spud, the two other dishes we ordered were tasty but had exactly the same flavour set, the server should have known this and made other suggestions. Menu seemed a bit uninspired. The service was unprofessional and we were annoyed by constant interruptions, also no one seemed to know how to make a simple cocktail either (gin fizz). Urban or Arden are better choices.

It's ok but I wouldn't return. Not my type of menu. We were still hungry when we left! It was packed though so it's perfect for some.

Favourite new restaurant. Food is delicious. Southern fried chicken thighs and the gnocchi is the best combo. Also their hummis is soooo good. Relaxed atmosphere, Very friendly staff.

Was craving a burger. Had not heard of the place but walked in and was impressed with the service, beer, music and food. I had the bacon cheese burger and my son had the chicken burger. Loved both

Awesome beef ribs and smashed potatoes, cold beer, served by a super friendly staff. Compared to the popular and pricey The Boat Shed, Parts & Service is a much better food experience

Very nice meals, sharing meals aren't the biggest but they are delicious.

We had a lovely meal here, Food was great and our waitress was really attentive and thoughtful in her service - she was the best waitress we've had in a long time!

Very interesting, modern take on Mediterranean, with a few other cultures thrown in. The gnudi and the egg plant were a hit.

Service can be a bit slow but I think that is due to the fact I have been at very busy times. Love the food but definitely not suitable for vegetarian or vegans.

The fried chicken and the ceviche was delicious but unfortunately the steak was overcooked and the staff all seemed to be in a bad mood which made us reluctant to give feedback or even order more drinks.
