Came here for lunch with friends. Very busy... most tables inside and outside were used. The food was great. They have cabinet food, which did look a bit dry. We ordered of the menu. Beautiful setting by the river and delicious food. I had the eggs benedict with salmon - eggs were cooked perfectly and came with lots of salmon. Friendly attentive staff, and they also provided our daughter toys to play with. Lovely spot on the grass with beanbags too.

We visit our son in Nelson fairly regularly and have tried most cafes in the area and this cafe is by FAR the best for food, service and value for money. Our party of 4 all had breakfast from menu but many amazing looking treats in the cabinet which we will be back for asap. The meringues looked epic!

Besides the ever excellent friendly service at all levels .....in particular yesterday when the" no table sharing" protocol was suitably enforced in a personable but business like fashion , it was so reassuring that the rules were enforced there and then ; reiterating the need to comply so that your licence to operate would not be compromised. Nice enough place, staff seemed to have an issue with me and my partner asking to have our sandwich cut in half as there was nowhere to sit outside so we'd decided to take the food to go. Fortunately a table became available so there was no need for them to do so.
