Just had our Xmas work do and it was such a great venue. The staff member who served us was awesome. The food was so delicious and didn't feel at all like we needed to rush our meals. Will definitely have to come back for dessert sometime soon as I was/we were all too full to fit any in this time. Thanks Arborio staff and chefs 12/11/21

The lighting is spectacular in creating a special atmosphere. I came as part of a large group with my partner. I had the chicken thigh and breast. Loved the Moroccan spice and sauce on it. Partner had the pork belly. Although there were some drink mix-ups because there were so many of us, our waitress had a great attitude, which erased any negative impact on our experience. Service is everything and we felt listened to and special. Will be back.

Beautiful food, amazing friendly service and right next door to the Puke Ariki museum for a bite after visiting the museum (which is how we came across this restaurant). Located directly across from the Coastal Walkway. We ordered the seafood linguini, calamari and breads with house dips. Everything was cooked well and tasted beautiful. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I asked to swap out the beetroot dip for hummus and it was no trouble.. Enjoyable experience and would highly recommend. Thank you chef and staff 😊

We ordered lemonada with passionfruit pulp and mint accompanied with Vietnamese salad and mussels with white wine sauce. The dish stood out for me as fresh, aromatic and bright.

Walked off the street for breakfast. Service was genuine kind and fun. My mushrooms on toast were to die for and my daughter who had the same meal agreed. Coffee was nice too. Hot plates, have to love a meal that comes out hot and on hot plates.

Got this big breakfast and added hollandaise sauce on the side. Was served with ciabatta, potato cakes, eggs of your choice, sausages, bacon and tomato. Was so good. Also shared some chips before hand, the ailoi is is amazing! Decor is beautiful with amazing views over the water front. Will definitely be returning.

Mother's Day celebration with 6 adults and one baby in a highchair. We were seen promptly and the staff were just fabulous. The food was amazingly good and the staff were attentive the whole time without being intrusive. Considering this was one of their busiest days, I cannot fault anything. Highly recommended.

It's located in the museum/ I center building. Food is fine and staffs are friendly. We wanted to try their fish and chips, but turns out they are out of stock! We settled for rice risotto and pasta instead. They turned out just fine!

Great vibe inside the restaurant, the interior layout is very classy. Bit of a mixed bag though... Cocktails ... 5/5 really enjoyed the chocolate one. Garlic pizza bread... 1/5 very poor, the base of the pizza was clearly old. Certainly not a fresh base, it was chewy and just left a poor taste in your mouth. Calamari... 5/5. Delicious Fettuccine... 2/5 too smokey not enough fresh chicken added. Rissoto... 4/5 it was the best of the mains that we ordered but we've had better elsewhere.

Aborio has been our go-to restaurants in New Plymouth for quite a few years. It seems to be a place that delivers consistently good food and above average service. Great drinks menu and happy enthustic staff, it punches above its weight and is actually better than many many top restaurants we have visited world-wide. Great outlook over the ocean. Very friendly service. Interesting menu. 2 of us ordered the platter to share. It had had an excellent variety of produce on it - calamari, prawns, Italian sausages, salamis, olives, 4 different dips, different breads. Delicious!

I live in NP and wanted something special for Hawkes Bay visitors.Booked Arborio online. Host Kawan (excellent person) offered a choice of tables: a nice inside table for 4 or one in a conservatory with views of flowering pohutukawa and the ocean which is just across the road. We chose the conservatory and had a super outlook from all seats. The place was full and buzzing. The menu was varied and interesting and we all enjoyed our starter and mains and made room for 2 shared desserts. I will be back. It might have become my new go-to restaurant. 👍😘

We had a booking but then discovered that our booking was never made, luckily we were there early, so we still had a table inside. A lot of customers were needing to be turned away because even though tables were empty, they were booked out. This included a very disappointed bride to be! So make sure you book if you’re coming! We ordered Chicken Fetuccini, Seafood Linguini & Chicken Bacon risotto. It came quite quickly with really hot plates. Big portions, but we can take it away. Chianti was great, sweet and fruity. Everything was great until I discovered a hair in the risotto.

The interior design, crockery & furnishings were all on point & added to the perfect dining experience. Meal prices were surprisingly good, our only dissapointment was not finding this place earlier. My meal was Lamb back strap and my Husbands was pan fried angus Rib Eye steak. we were pleasantly surprised when they bought out a small desert with a candle in it for our anniversary. Me and my husband are just visiting and our second wedding anniversary happened to fall in the same time period.So after surfing in the internet we decided we’d go here to celebrate.The atmosphere and ambience is really nice here and because it was a Sunday it was not so crowded.The staff is really friendly and attending.Really good food I’ve had in a while.I asked my steak to be well done but it was medium rare but it was okay to me but should be more careful on stuff like that.And the portion was really too much for one person unlike most of the places which is a great thing.We were too full to try the dessert which is a shame lol.And the prices couldn’t be more reasonable.Oh and one weak point I can point out is,they don’t have a meat dish which only contains chicken.My husband only eats chicken but their chicken dish is bacon wrapped so my husband had no other option other than going for a pasta.It’s a typical asian thing so I hope they could consider such customers too when making their menu.But I must say overall we loved the whole experience and will definitely go again before we leave this beautiful city.Wishing you guys all the very best!

Great service, delicious food and comfortable atmosphere. The Moroccan lamb pizza was really yummy and the cheesecake was mouthwatering. Generous serving of yummy chips. Highly recommended!
