H.They have a seperate fryer for gluten free so coeliac friendly with good knowledge and friendly service. The fish was so fresh, best fish I have ever had since being diagnosed with coeliac. Really tasty and the chips were cooked just right, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside!
R.Went there today, first time since New ownership. Quality fish n chips at Ngamotu Beach, a bit on the pricey side for some things like $3 a battered prawn, $5 scoop of chips, however the serve size are decent and the fish was excellent. Good layout allows them to serve anyone and those holding vax passports can dine in the side room. Photos of menu with prices attached. Of youre looking for more value for money I believe there is another fnc shop in Motorola worth checking out.
J.We bought fish and chips for tea tonight. Ordered by phone, and they were ready when my husband arrived to pick them up. The lemon fish was delicious. Very juicy, and the chips were crispy. Will definitely come here again! I made the mushy peas and curry sauce myself.
S.Not cheap. Need to learn to drain food properly. Nothing worse than oily food.fish was nice but pieces were small. Hot dog / sausage same thing. No difference. Need to keep drink fridge stocked
T.Stopped in last week in the mid afternoon late for lunch. The new owners have smartened up the decor and opened a new seating area inside. They now have a liquor license too. I tried their crispy chicken burger and it was delicious, very tasty and cooked just right. Great menu choices too.
m.Absolutely loved the ribs the prices were fair and the service was great in my point of view, my brother didn't have a so great service he didn't like how he ordered eggs with his fish and the eggs were served first and the fish came a while after. All in all still good food.
O.Not your usual fast food! Situated at the seafront , this restaurant slash takeaway boasts of the freshest seafood and vegetables. My salad tasted like homemade one, lemon fish was custom cooked in tempura, panko crumbs and pan fried for three of us.
And you can always judge the fast food outlet by the quality of chips. Those were not greasy, but light with a pleasant crunchy surface and soft soul.
Extremely attentive staff that made rad coffee for our very demanding group: “large naked cappuccino” and “large latte with half shot coffee”. And they nailed it! Thank you.

T.The fish and chips really were good but the 1 hour wait really wasn't - be aware of this! I don't know if they accept phone orders, but if so this would be the way to go. At least it's well situated near the breakwater, so there are good options for nice walks while waiting for the food. There is some outdoor seating, but it's quite limited. Also note the relatively early closing times which have caught us out on occasion.
p.Service so good. Lovely girl behind counter. Couldn't help us enough. Food was amazing. My lemon fish was cooked to perfection and my crab stick melted in my mouth. Thank you for a lovely cruisy birthday dinner.
R.I had a lovely piece of gurnard and 1 scoop of chips and a drink, total cost $16 so it is pricey but it's nice to have a place right on the beach. The gentleman at the counter was very friendly.
T.Had almost an hour long wait.... For fish and chips. Food once it arrived was okay, but fish was small, burger was average. Also ordered the broccolini and was disappointed to have paid 8$ for 4 teeny tiny little pieces. Chips needed more salt. To be fair it was a beautiful Sunday evening and there were lots of people about which is why I think it took so long.
C.Not sure price-wise how this place compares to other fish and chip shops in New Plymouth but they tasted great. We went for a slightly more expensive gurnard over the cheaper warehou and were very pleased with the fish and beer batter. They threw quite a few extra fish in (likely since the fillets were a little small to begin with) too. A scoop of chips is often larger at other fish shops but these were perfectly cooked. friendly staff too. Highly recommended.
D.We went here are the peak of summer between Christmas and New Year's for fish and chips at the beach. This meant the queue to offer was long, the wait was over half a hour and quite pricey, really. The fish was fresh and really delicious and the chips were good too. Unfortunately given the wait and price, next time will be another chippie (or pizza)

C.The guy at service counter adds flair to the place. Not flash but it does have outdoor seating and it is a fish and chip shop.
I had fresh snapper and it was. When is a wedge not a wedge? When it is a cross cut wedge. I was a bit dubious about ordering these but I was not disappointed, really scrummy .I was a huge serving for one person so I shared.
Pity it is not on waterfront but then food would cost more.

J.Without a doubt one of the best Fish & Chips shops in town! Not to far from my work place, which is a bonus for Friday Lunch. Burgers are amazing (crispy chick, delish!) Only down side is the staff at the front counter can be hit and miss, generally good, but a smile and a "hello" can go a long way :)

K.For a one off treat the food is perfect. You can choose how you want your fish cooked. I love it. Great place to take your out of town family and well worth a stop if youre visiting NP.

I.These guys are changing the face of fish and chips in New Plymouth ! Making the loved classic SO SO tasty and offering many variations ! They have yummy salads , sautéed veggies ... Super fresh fish and they do Gluten free!!!! Woo hoo, that makes me happy ! Can't recommend these guys highly enough! Loved it .
