Great spot to go if you're looking for high quality food and great drinks. Wait staff got one dish in the order wrong but were so good about it and sorted it out without any fuss. Need some blinds for that late evening sunlight beaming in though!

Nice concept alcove style seating, beer was good flavour. The pork and lamb chops were very tender and tasty. The blackberry desert was delightful.
The menus were getting a bit ripped which let's down initial presentation, the leather folders are very stylish.

Went there for a drink this arvo. Sat outside and the table we sat was very close to the door. It kept making the door open which was very annoying. Not very well thought out outdoor area. Beer very expensive. Will not be making it our regular bar that's for sure.

Flawless service which I’m very fussy about so huge thumbs up as hard to find anywhere in New Plymouth. I just feel like the menu is not quite there when it comes to lunch I wouldn’t come for lunch again because I struggled and I didn’t think a sandwich no fries or salad on one plate was lunch at restaurant exciting enough. The calamari was a risk to take and unfortunately was chewy but the chips were good. It’s a pricey menu but I’m sure the mains from 5pm would be very good sound lovely. If I wanted ‘brunch’ eggs benne or full cooked breakfast I would certainly come for the good service. Mocktail was really good and next time I’ll be trying the beer. Thanks it’s a lovely restaurant for Fitzroy

Impressive! We had a simple lunch, flavors are marvelous, quality is high, service is A1. We will visit again soon.

Dau was fantastic. The man never stopped moving. If he wasn't serving, he was asking everyone how their drinks or their meal was. This man deserves a good pay raise or a bonus. Perfect service 😍

Attentive, friendly and efficient service, which is a rarity in New Plymouth. Good drinks (I had a martini and my partner a mocktail). The food - we shared a smoked meat platter, slaw and fries. The portions were generous for the price. Take it for what it’s worth from a native Texan (where bbq is near religion), but the mark was completely missed with the meat preparation. Low and slow, friends! Low and slow! Smoked brisket should NEVER be chewy. The pork was overpowered by its glaze. The chicken was decent but saved by its sauce. There are different schools of thought on smoking meat but this needs more study. Good fries and slaw. I’d try again but definitely steer a different culinary direction.
