R.Awesome authentic Indian mouthwatering food In New Plymouth, even kids want to go there again. Loved the ambience, special tea and food was so yum.
S.Food is good and delicious but is definitely overpriced in my opinion. Wait time can definitely improve. Staff members are extremely friendly and welcoming. Customer serice is good. The place is cozy and has an authentic Indian ambience which releases a good vibe.
P.Family of 10 ate there New Years Eve. Great menu available. We all chose different meals and the waiting staff answered our questions re ingredients and made suggestions as to what extras went with each dish. All meals came out at the same time and we all agreed they were very generous portions. So much so, several had to ask for containers to take some home.

Great restaurant, great staff, great food.
Made even better when my initial "thimble" of Kingfisher was changed for beer in a decent sized glass!
I don't understand the negative comments.
We have eaten in restaurants all over the world and we cannot fault India Today in any way.
We'll be back.

S.We were in New Plymouth for a holiday and came to this place on a Tuesday, it had a number of people plus some people collecting takeaways. So we could tell it was a popular place to visit.
We enjoyed our meal and the food was good. The music was a tad on the the loud side and better co-ordination between the waitress was needed.
Overall if we are in New Plymouth again we will be back!

K.I stopped in here on my way home to Wanganui. I can honestly say, the customer service was the most outstanding I’ve received anywhere. All the staff were very friendly and accomodating and made me very comfortable, the atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting. The food was freshly prepared and piping hot, and stayed hot for the entire duration of my trip home. It was beautiful food, huge pieces of chicken and very generous portions. Definitely a new favourite!!!

We managed to get a table and drinks but had to wait quite a while for food, it is well worth the wait. The staff and food are amazing and it’s lovely to have such an authentic curry with a good level of heat in it.

Z.I have a minor obsession with quality Indian food, so it is fair so say that I am well-eaten in a number of restaurants around New Zealand. This is, by far, the best I have tasted and I am thrilled that it's in New Plymouth.
With staff that are friendly and accomodating, a restaurant that mixes popular Indian style with tasteful authenticity, and food that can only be described as sublime, you will not be disappointed at India Today.
You can taste the freshness in their food, which is my deal-breaker for your average Indian nosh and having had lunch there a number of times throughout the week I can safely say that the quality of food is never sacrificed.
I never regret the cost of a good curry and this is no exception. I would say, "I would eat there again," but that goes without saying.

p.I visited this place for dinner as it was One of my friends birthday.. honestly this has been the best place for Indian food that I've eaten here in New Plymouth.. the staff and ambience was amazing.. the manager was very sweet and recommended me a good dish the service was really quick and staff were too good in their work

J.There are 26 Indian Restaurants in New Plymouth and I have not visited very many, but, having spent a lot of time in India, I can confidently predict that you won't find better Southern India fare than at this restaurant. They have another location that is kind of a fast food place and not nearly as nice. The decor is very nice and often nice contemporary Indian music. I can personally vouch for their lamb biryani - I have eaten the same in Hyderabad and Bangalore and it was no better.
R.Nicely decorated ,food was good but service was painfully slow. Had to wait for an hour to get the starter. Looks like they were busy with meeting the take away orders.
P.This is fantastic well priced Genuine Indian cuisine. Menu offers loads of options and they will try hard to make your special requests happen. The Staff are fantastic. The restaurant can be very very busy on weekends so make sure to phone in and make a booking.

M.It has pretty good food, but staff especially the lady owner is bit unfriendly. I guess they care more about their regular customers. I went there twice, second time bit better experience. I care more about the way staff treats you than the food, so might not be a suitable place for me.

The varieties of flat bread is amazing rqnging from parathas to plain naan to kashmiri kulcha.
This place is a must go, if you are craving for an Indian dinner or lunch.

M.Surprisingly good. I wouldn't normally choose Indian food, it is usually too overcooked, stewed and mushy for my taste. But there I was, walking around New Plymouth on a public holiday Monday evening. Most restaurants were closed. The India Today looks very inviting from the outside. Stepping in through the door I was immediately drawn in by the ambience, and the magic word 'Tandoori' - the only Indian style of Indian food that I have always enjoyed. I ordered a half Tandoori Chicken with Naan and with Saag Paneer. The chicken arrived sizzling on a hot iron plate on a bed of grilled vegetables and with traditional yoghurt. Delicious. The Saag Paneer was very good too (though it is a good example of an 'overcooked' and 'mushy' recipe).
The service was excellent. The wine list was good, and well matched to the food.
A very enjoyable dinner, thank you.
