Ordered fish & chips online from here, paid by credit card, was able to chose pick up time from a selection. Best f&c I've had in ages. Fish was gurnard, so fresh it was probably caught today. Chips so crispy, batter on fish quite divine. Just the right amount of salt, we scoffed the lot at record speed. Don't go past this one, you'll be sorry.

We are visiting the lovely town of New Plymouth and I felt the rare urge for fish in chips. I used to love a regular feed but these days it's hard to get really good fish AND chips. We placed a phone order and they were ready very quickly. The snapper fillets were moist thick, tastey and very fresh! The batter was crisp and not greasey. The chips were perfect and I tried a paua fritter for good measure. It really was full of paua!! Not some stodgey filler. It was great. Also the lovely lady threw In a couple of extra ittle apple turnover deserts. Thank you for that treat, it was very kind d of you. We have enjoyed N.P so much we will return in the spring and February and we will definatemy return here and tell all our friends to as well. This was a great find!

Crispy, meaty fish with a lovely batter and yummy chips. Drove 12kms here as reviews were so good and it was worth it.

My go-to place to support local in Moturoa .... consistently good takeaways, wide food variety, great service from hardworking friendly couple plus staff.

The fish was very fresh and perfectly fried. The chips were good as well. There's a longer wait, probably due to the shop's popularity, but it is well worth it. Highly recommended!

Stopped in here on our way to Ngamotu beach. Huge smile from the friendly girl behind the counter. Food came out quickly and was good quality. We got a $17.50 pack & an extra scoop of chips & there weren't tons of chips, but just enough to feed us (2 adults, 3 kids). Not a crumb left. Will definitely be back.

Good burgers and toasted sandwiches. Fish and chips good, perhaps a little over cooked but you can request less cooking. Does not offer chinese.

Just like other reviewers said, best fish and chip shop in town. Great energetic service too! Will be back here most definitely when I'm in town and craving 'fush and chups'

Everything was cooked nicely but $5 chips amounted to just a small handful and the snapper was extremely small for the $7 per piece price.

Worth a try food was fresh and plentiful

Fish fresh & juicy always Light & tasty crispy batter Pleasant smiley service. Best in the country, and I have been around both islands. When I go out of Taranaki 3 things I look forward to, Taranaki mounga, my home, and a feed of Port fish & chips.
