Recommend booking in advance and reserving a seat by the train!

M. D.Discovered Sushi Ninja whilst on a one night stop over in New Plymouth. Great place for authentic Japanese food and service, from the Chef greeting you as you enter, to the really delicious food. Well worth a visit (or three!!), you won't be disappointed. They also run a 'Sushi Train' on certain days, which we are sorry we missed out on but will partake in, next time we're in NPL.

been to outside of Auckland within this price range. And a massive reason for that is the sashimi. The salmon sashimi in particular is the best I’ve ever had, better than anything in Japan. The second reason is the chicken karaage, also among the best I’ve ever tasted. Massively recommended

We'll definitely be back if we visit new plymouth again. Big thank you to their lovely staff and chef. You made my last day of the trip.
