R.Can’t be more satisfied than here!
Had an absolutely perfect brunch with all my family and the meal was delicious! So sad i only managed to take just one pancake picture as we devoured the others, also the french onion soup was outstanding. Even the oat flat white was super delicious. The crew managing the place was so nice! Definitely be back!!!!! Need to try all the menu
J.Such a great vibe here. This place has a great view of Mt Taranaki as well as great food and desserts. We ordered Seafood Chowder and Apfelstrudel and they were very well flavoured. Coffee was good, but a little bitter. But the lady kindly provided us some extra steamed milk, which we poured further into our coffee. The place also has some things to ride on, wich both kids and adults can hop on and have fun! Overall, highly recommend it :)
P.While we have visited Volcano View very regularly, we now enjoyed a new specialty, a Dutch "Rijsttafel" or "Rice Table". As you can see from the photos below, a wide variety of dishes, with different types of meats, spices, veges, fruits and krupuk! Each dish was delicious, not too spicy and very tender. Quality food, quality setting and quality company :).
Very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere during these darker winter months....
Can recommend to anybody with a taste for quality food!
C.The best Dutch family cooking. The food was fantastic and a great view. The owners are lovely, food and service as well. Recommended to come here before go to Mt. Taranaki. Try fish pot and Scoth 250 grams are the best.
B.Great little stop, beautiful views. Food was really good with full selection of items. Would go for any meal. Awesome flying fox and pedal cars for all ages. Lots of space.
K.First time at Volcanoview Tavern and we loved it. Great view and delicious pancakes. We had the bacon/mushroom and the thai chicken pancakes and wow!!! To top it off the vanilla latte was perfect. Coming back next weekend too.

G.Kids had a ball on the pedal carts and flying foxes. Traditional Dutch pancakes were delicious, good coffee too! Owner even took time to come and have a chat with us. So good in fact we returned for more pancakes a few days later!
E.Excellent and authentic Dutch Indo food. Owner and staff are super nice and really made you feel welcomed at this lovely restaurant. The view is also spectacular, overlooking Mt Taranaki! Must go if you happen to be a Dutch and miss Dutch food as well! Lekker!
W.I really liked my stay, they did every they could do to let me stay even I didn't book before I arrived and it was a busy time.
The food was amazing!
