Reviews of Captain Kune's
L.Best fish in chips we've had in years. Fish cooked perfectly. Chips crispy outside and soft inside. Sausages and hotdogs approved by the kids 😁. Steak and egg burger looked dry but was juicy af. Egg was nice and runny. Staff were very personable and welcoming. Will definitely be going back next time we're up here.

On holiday here, decided to get fish n chips.
So good, everything cooked to perfection and at a reasonable price
D.The only fish n chip takeaway in town, very affordable! Fish was tender and soft, but too salty in my opinion . Very friendly staff. A little bit run down inside, would recommend a mini makeover for indoor seating.

B.I ordered a scoop of chips and a hot dog for $6! Very affordable prices, very tasty food and friendly staff. Took a little long and inside might need renovating. Definitely recommend.

H.We have eaten in several restaurants, ranging in price, in Ohakune, and although this is a takeaway with a few dine in tables, it’s actually our favourite. Incredible value for money and always have friendly service inside. Food is tasty, don’t miss the cheesy chips!

Staffed by locals not only is the food they make fresh & filling its also consistent, meaning you always know the quality to expect, then you can tap into their local knowlage of the township an surrounding areas,
