C.Service is always great, nice and clean eating area. Prices are excellent especially when feeding larger families, food is always hot and well cooked.
T.Wow! This was the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. I’m now Coeliac and they did gluten free fish and chips in a separate vat so no cross-contamination. The batter was light and not too dense or oily like a lot of gluten free batters. If you are looking for Gluten Free food in Opotiki or really anyone looking for a good meal, this is the place to go! I recommend the Snapper - it was obviously fresh and absolutely delicious.

a.We stopped here to grab some fish n chips on our way back to Akl, and this was one of the best we've had in the whole country!! You guys do an amazing job, from the service to the cook, the beautiful paintings and the overall ambience, loved it. Next time when we come this way, this will be a sure stop for us.

A.Probably one of the best chippies in the north island...from steak to nachos to fish and chips, they have it all, great customer service with a bit of quirkiness.
Our 2nd time there the food was great, but different staff who were surly, didnt want to be there and unhelpful...but the food was still great
F.Kapai Kai put together a fantastic 90 years Birthday lunch for our father / grand-father / great grand-father on Saturday 3 July 2021, the food was delightful, the warm and helpful nature of Kapai Kai will be remembered for a very very long time

S.Well I wish I had found this jem the other day....we found it today though and it was awesome. Friendly lovely service, the front of house went over and above even when she was very busy...thank you. Its was a clean and spacious dining room. The meal was Kapai ...we WILL be back. G.Very enjoyable fish, definitely our go to in opotiki now, highly recommend the fish. Texture of the fish was great and tasted fresh. Chips were ok, could have been a little crispier. Nice selection of fish also. Plenty of indoors seating. Friendly relaxed takeaway.
