G.Fully enjoyed my fish and chips today, the chips were so good and it complimented the fish. There was no chance I was sharing with the seagulls today. Will definitely be visiting again
j.Always enjoy their Fish & Chips. Never tried anything else from there, which is why I didn't give 5 stars...well, that and last time I went the chips didn't seem as fresh as I'd expect.
V.Been here 3 times so far. Always fresh and very good burgers. Last time we came here from Karaka to just get lunch
S.The food and service was great however one slight letdown was the burger it soaked the whole broom of the bun due to the fat not being rendered right down but other than that was good.
l.I got the fish of the day, best fish I've had in New Zealand.
Chips are good, staff friendly, from my experience I would recommend.
For any Aussie's, the potato cakes aren't anything like what we have at home.

Young lady serving at counter was cool calm and collected. She knew her facts and the huge pressure at that time of day wasnt a bother for her.
G.The food here is ALWAYS good but more importantly the staff are just such a delight. There is a younger girl that was working during the Alert Level 3 with all the restrictions and rules that had to be followed, anyway the service from her literally was so good that I just wanted to smile, her nature was so lovely but also was her service. Love the coffee thickshakes too!!
A.I have visited many times. Excellent seafood based shop. Just had their excellent large creamy seafood chowder. $12.50 and a really big portion. I eat seafood chowders often and this is one of the best. Even a discount if you are staying at the very good motor camp nearby. Haven't had their fish and chips recently but they have always been good value over current and previous owners.

A.This place is definitely worth a visit from Auckland to Orewa. Visited few years ago and remembered we had a great, tasty fresh Fish and chips. Last week when we around, we popped in again. Surprisingly the quality hasn't changed at all. I think the best option here is the CRUMBED fish option.

S.This was my favourite place to buy chips & would make a special trip up from the north shore to get some & sit at the beach 🙂 I was there this week on a job so ordered chips & I must say, I was a little disappointed 😯 The majority of the chips were nice, some were not good quality & overcooked & the delicious flavour I'd come to love just wasn't there 😒 Is it new owners or change of oil & potato supplier? Either way, I wouldn't make the trip up just for the chips anymore, sad 🤔

J.Called in here because we felt like fish and chips and are so glad that we did. Parked just across the road and walked in to discover a menu that had 3 types of fish available we chose snapper. Then asked if we wanted it battered or crumbed we chose battered. Best fish and chips we have had in ages and that includes restaurants we have been to should be 6 out if 5
H.OMG popped in for an ice cream & had a double waffle cone...It was so big!! Enjoyed just sitting outside, watching everyone, hearing the sea & devouring it. Great ice cream choice too!

N.A reasonable selection, cooked fresh on the day with fresh batter. They are more than happy to do a lightly battered version and also offer crumbed or fried. I think they use a special oil, not Canola, which is something different and nice.
R.One of those rare moments when Fish and Chips at the beach is appropriate. Anticipation greater than reality - golden chips - but not crispy. Crumbed snapper - over cooked - sorry Orewa, Takapuna Fish and chip shop on Lake Road never leaves me feeling "had".
