I've been here three times now and they NEVER disappoint. Food is always great and so is the service. Giving 5 stars not because of the quality but because a young lady named Brooke who works here. Thank you Brooke for your amazing customer service, you made me feel like I was in a fancy restaurant - they are so lucky to have you!

Amazing service by a credit to McDonalds staff. Didn't catch her name but she was welcoming, friendly and super efficient. The caramel dip soft-serve ice cream was brilliant too :)

Not usually someone who posts reviews on anything. Especially a fast food chain. However. We stopped at McDs Otorohanga on our way home yesterday for a quick dinner. From the moment we entered we were impressed. Even in these stupid times of passport requirements we didn't feel invaded by the hostess. She was lovely. Very friendly and helpful and very personable. The place was very clean even though they were obviously busy. The food as well, normally nothing to write home about, but in this instance it was one of the best burgers I've had at McDs ever! Overall very impressed by this site. Best McDonald's restaurant I've been to! Well done.

Very happy that they have banana shakes again plus my 2 cheeseburgers and large chips, do this about once a month and satisfied. Otorohanga McDonald's is conveniently located especially when using the Pirongia by pass. Friendly staff and good parking with clean and tidy facilities, even with the covid restrictions, their operation and friendly manner must this an easy place to stop for food, drinks and a toilet stop.

Not often do I come across a McDonalds worth writing about! That restaurant was immaculate inside and out! The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, even with all of the added measures for Covid. Awesome restaurant to stop in on your way through Otorohanga!

Nice stopping point if you are heading to and from Ruapehu if you are from the North. This shop is open 24/7 so you know its always there if you need food or a bathroom break. The dining area is quite nice and fairly big. It's always nice and clean and it has a playground around the back.

We called in here on our way home . I have to say absolutely beautiful, there was a young awesome guy checking on people ordering, he was massive. Took us over to the screen where you put your order in and we had never used this before, this dude was fantastic helpful as and showed us right through the process. He should get a raise. The McDonald's was so clean and staff were absolutely awesome people BEST McDonald's in the north island.

Good service and delicious food but the reason we chose to stop there was so we could fill out water bottles at the same time as a food and toilet stop but we were told they don't fill water bottles and we would have to purchase bottled water. I've never been told that at a McDonald's before

On the 18th of November on our way to Hamilton we stopped in for dinner. Now this place was awesome. The big maori? lady (sorry, but I didnt get your name) was outstanding. That is what you call a manager. Communication was really on point. The way she handled her crew 👌 I cannot applaud her enough. Delegation and upkeeping of the resturant and staff a big A+ That is how a business should be run. I take my hat off to you. The resturant was clean, food was hot and fresh. Were we even told by the guy that was cleaning the table area to leave our mess there and he cleaned it. (Dont get me wrong I always clean up after my family). Thank you so much. What more can we ask is a nice clean environment and a satisfied dining experience. Awesome Otorohunga McDonalds keep up the awesome work.

The young kids love the playground and we got to dine in the party room. The food is fast and cheap and the fancy menu ain't too bad. The cleanliness of the toilets let it down.

They seemed understaffed as what looked to be manager was taking orders and packing them while the cook took payment. Asked for no ice across all drinks. Found ice. Also found that a medium fries is roughly the same as a large. Only difference was the packaging. 🤦‍♀️ Atleast they were this time. 🤷‍♀️ Rest of the meal was fine.

A good place to stop on your journey. Can be quite busy are lunch/dinner time, but that's too be expected. When leaving would not recomend trying to turn right out onto the main road if can be avoided, can be a bit of a wait for the traffic.

OMG What a breath of fresh air to dine at this very clean and very friendly establishment. One of the best franchises I've been to. The reason I never gave you 5 stars is because the parking is a bit confusing. Other than that it was a pleasure.

I mean it's alright. It has a play area and is a safe place to eat after travelling down Hamilton or from Waitomo. It's relatively clean. I just don't like how small the toilets are. In the men's toilets at least, there's only one urinal and toilet. It would be nice if there were at least three urinals and two toilets.

It's a McDonald's, but what sets this place apart is the larger Maori guy working out front. He was clearing tables and taking food to tables. He took time out to chat with my wife and I about the area, Maori medicinal practices, and American Hip-hop. I wish I would have gotten his name. Because of him, we ended up making a second stop to eat, sadly he wasn't working that day. He also said he liked my blue hair.

Otorohanga was the last place on earth I thought I'd find a McDonald's, because it is literally out in the middle of nowhere. This one is beautiful. We arrived just as they were opening on a Saturday morning, having driven down from Auckland. The coffee was hot, the breakfast was good, the staff were friendly and the restaurant was immaculate. I'll visit again.

favourite McDonald. I drive 2 Auckland from Taranaki on a weekly basis, and i also stop here 4 a quick bite. Burgers r always made fresh with like a minute waiting time and the customer service is better than most McDonalds in AKL. Dining area is always clean and tidy.

A good place to stop, not always clean, but usually remedied at some point, if not slowly. The bathrooms, however, are usually clean and tidy (if you are choosing between stopping here or Huntly, go here). Huntley's Macca's is atrocious. Although they don't make good café drinks, (leave the coffee or latte, it's so not worth it) this place can be super busy. An offial and traditional stop on the trip to Ruapehu.
