My best buffet experience in a while! Service was quick and warm, and the food is great - one important thing is that it’s not salty, and I love that. They also top up the food very frequently including the oysters!

We had reserved a table for 12 at 7pm..seated straight away...very friendly service. So many selections I couldn't try them all!! Would definitely recommend.

Brought takeaways from here yesterday.. always love this place for the yummy 😋 flavors. My family has a smorgasbord dinner last year and really enjoyed the oysters and all the other different yummy dishes.

Great selection of tasty kai that is continually replenished. If the restaurant is full there is always outside undercover courtyard seating with a cozy ambiance created by all the fairy lights and outdoor gas heating....loved my experience here with my meice last night...we dined over a 2 hour period...yummiest kai...will return again. Visited again on 17June and the.bufget selection is always top notch and kept clean and tidy for presentation of kai....luff this restaurant....value for money

I was gifted a kahawai fish from the cruise today and brought it to King Wah to see if they would cook it for us. The lady warned me that fish is normally not eaten as the meat is not good but we asked them to try nonetheless. They turned it into two dishes for us for $80. A bit hefty yes but it was surprisingly good! Gives me confidence in their buffet, which was very popular with the locals. The place was packed all night in the middle of low season.

Beautiful food, lovely service. A la carte menu offers a great variety. Little bit pricey for what it is but it is tasty and spectacular nonetheless. The best pork dim sums we have ever had 😋 Lovely staff too Been back twice since... wouldn't reccomend the wonton soup (unless you like super fishy shrimp flavored pork wontons) but would definitely recommend the buffet. Again, a bit pricey but I think that must just be cause the location or something. Great options and very fresh food for the buffet.

Omgggggg . If anyone is ever in the beautiful town of Paihia " KING WAH" Buffet is the place to come for a really good priced buffet with awesome staff and BEAUTIFUL KAI ... I've wined and dined all over NZ and for one of my favorite go to towns with all the beauty that this place he's it amazes me how cheap this little gem of a Chinese restaurant is. 100%. 10/10 .A++++ for this money saving restaurant . Not to mention the all you can eat "GIANT OYSTERS".... YUMMMOOO.. SHOT KING WAHS...

One of the better buffets we've been to for the price. Well stocked, good service. Everything was fresh. Would love to come back next time we're back in pihia. Also the oyster loving family members were certainly not disappointed.

The only proper Chinese Restaurant in Paihia. For dinner you can have buffet $32.50 or you can pick dishes from the main manu or even the takeaway option. Yummy Asian dishes.

Absolutely one of the best Chinese restaurants we have been to and we have lived in China and Hong Kong for 30 yrs.

My second time here, and brought the kids along to enjoy it. The food is soooo good. From Oysters in the shell and Prawns, to dumplings, and some great beef and chicken dishes. Plus desert and coffee all included in the buffet price. This is a hidden gem amongst the flashy restaurant choices in Paihia. And the fact it's packed shows the locals love it too.

Ok-ish food, interesting venue. And one of the few Chinese places to eat in Paihia. But it was really expensive. Maybe this is to be expected in a tourist places. We ate outside. But you can also eat inside - the buffet (at $32.50 a head) seems really popular, and the place was really busy.

Fantastic family friendly really yummy food

No-fuss Chinese buffet options with oysters on the menu! IIt definitely gets busy - we (group of 11) arrived just after 5.30pm and were able to be seated inside and soon enough the place was full inside and out. Plenty of choice for people who don't eat pork or beef.

Fabulous selection of food. Be careful not to eat too much. Don't miss the salad and seafood bar around the corner. There is a great selection of deserts as well.

I want to give it a 3.5 in regards to consistency with either quality or quantity for what you are paying some days I've gotten roast pork on rice which the pork is nice and tender and the crackle nice and fresh and crunchy but little amount of veggies today I got alot of veggies but the pork was heated up in the microwave the pork was not as tender or juicy and the crackling not crispy.. for $17.90 please be consistent with both... I can get a meal like this for $9 in auckland... Nice enough people but expensive and inconsistent with things...

I think this place is very good value for money $36.00pp for a all you can eat buffet with amazing fresh oysters. The selection of food is limited but what you get is tasty and nice. Highly recommend

Surprisingly good authentic Cantonese - Chinese Cuisine. The a la carte roast duck, crispy pork and roast chicken is authentic and the steamed oysters are highly recommended! Service is excellent.

We have been going here for many years, mainly because they are super family friendly, have great outdoor seating, relaxed vibe and great people. Dining out with young children can be daunting but nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are always wonderful and go the extra mile to make your visit enjoyable. The kids particularly enjoy the food especially the desserts and soft serve ice cream machine. Theres something for everyone, a buffet that includes hot dishes, soups, seafood (massive oysters!), salads and desserts. There is also an a la cart menu available. It's always busy too, so the food is fresh. Highly recommend a meal here if you are in town.

Pretty good food. They have a range of Asian cuisine dishes and seafood. We loved how they also supply fresh oysters on their buffet. They desserts are average. I’d definitely go back if I’m in the area

Lovely atmosphere tonight. Loved the savoury meals. Great selection of authentic Chinese cuisine.Dessert leaves me disastisfied. Could do with a nice pav or brandy rolls. Maybe even a chocolate fountain. But no however the icecream machine is a hit with children. Money trees in the restaurant leave me smiling :)

Have been here for a few meals food is always so yum. There was one time we had caught a snapper in the morning and took it to the restaurant when we got back, we went later that night and they had cooked it 5 different ways for us.

Just had an amazing buffet dinner. We could not fault anything. It was hot, tasty and top quality. Lots to choose from and the pork belly and bbq pork was incredible. Highly recommended.

Wow Great service, food and environment. Serious "club feel" in the light of day and as the evening wore on. My first time here, but I immediately felt comfortable and at ease. Cosy? Yet dining for bigger groups encouraged and provided for. Great small menu a la carte, or go the smorgasbord and enjoy a good range of seafood, Chinese fare or simple 'fish and chip's style dining and deserts, teas and coffee. Range of hot and cold refreshments. Great for impromptu day dining and for a special meal. Good parking nearby. Toilets on site. Close to other amenities and services.

The delicious smell of this Chinese restaurant is far reaching. They have an all you can eat buffet but you'll need a serious appetite to get your money's worth. Highly recommend the "choice of" selection from the kiosk as it's economical, the exact same food as the buffet and can be enjoyed while seated under the nice covered outdoor area of the Selwyn mall.

Restaurant was clean and food is great. Had 7pm session Saturday. @ $36.50pp Is money well spent at that price. It's the only buffet restaurant I know of in pahia. Staff service were great.
