B. K. 龚.We stopped over for dinner after checking in. The scent of the fish and chips drew us and personally, we were always looking out for good fish and chips and Vinnies did not disappoint.
The owner was working without any assistance but he was courteous and patient while we were trying to decide. The wait was but for a while and we were greeted with a wide smile. The food was nice and hot. It did not take too long for the family to finish the food - a testament to the quality.
As it was a take away shop, there were no toilets available. Seeing that the kids were in need to use the toilet, the owner was most kind to bring us personally to a toilet - what service.
This is a great spot for fish and chips at Paihia - do visit if you are in the area. Located from the main street and across the road from the Tourist info centre, it would be easy to find and a short walk to the nearby supermarkets.

The fish were a good size for the price. The chips nice n crispy how we like them.
The service was excellent. The young lady that served us was polite and helpful. She bought us some tomato and tartare sauce to have with our food. So we call that excellent service.
C. F.It's definitely one of the best places to get your feed of fish and chips. Price might be a lill high. However, the quality of the product you receive out ways it tenfold. Perfectly cooked fish in clean oil with a perfect batter ratio. The condiments you receive are great quality/ quantity. The people who serve you are great. You leave here feeling awesome. And not to mention, you have an amazing view to enjoy while eating your meal.

M. M.Oceans 68 was very accomadating for vegan food. Richard and Lee were quick to offer vegan options. I ended up getting a vegan burger with a falafel patty. They went the extra mile to seperate chips from chicken salt to some without, and they ended up being really yummy chips. The burger was a delicious and classic fish and chip shop burger, like the rest of the non vegan burgers. There was a real effort from Richard and Lee to make changes to make things vegan for me and they made sure throughout that the order was followed to vegan requirements. Highly recommend, thanks Richard and Lee!

D. M.Delicious fish and chips. Service was great and whilst waiting for my order everyone kept approaching the staff as they where leaving saying how great the meal was and this was there 3rd or or 4th time there and they come every time they visit from overseas.
One lady "didn't like the flavour of the New Zealand Whiting compared to Australian Whiting" she was offered another meal or a refund but she declined. Which I thought was great service on their part and Interesting compared to some of the negitive comments already posted.

y.The very best snapper & chips I've had for years. Not the cheapest but most certainly the best and it's so true - you get what you pay for! Our thick, white, moist and obviously fresh pieces of a good-sized fish were just excellent. Minimal batter. Not dripping in oil. Perfect chips. Complimentary lemon. Rapid service. We'll be back!
