The service here is fantastic and they have a large range of craft beers. We had a variety of dishes: prawn, duck, chickpeas and vege korma. Some of the dishes ordered as mild were a bit too hot compared to those ordered as medium. This seems to be consistent across our experiences eating here. The breads are very tasty and the desserts can be very nice. Unfortunately they had run out of mango lassi which was sad.

We ordered the platter for 2 which was a good size starter for 4 of us. The goat curry was boneless and flavours were amazing. Other dishes were tasty (can’t comment on authenticity) and garlic paratha was on the thin side.

Went in on New Year's Eve for Dinner. If you enjoy South indian food, this is probably one of the best restaurants in New Zealand that does high quality south indian food. The Goat curry was mindblowing!

Delish. Loved the food and our waiter was lovely. Super helpful and kind. Bread was very thin but I don't know much about the cuisine to criticise. We had the duck and lamb and they were both gorgeous.

People say it is a good place to dine in. However, I expected more from the takeaway service. Spinach paneer was overcooked and the Naan is small and overpriced. My rate only applies to takeaway as I haven't been there in person. The kerela beef is good.

Ideal place to have good Kerala style combos. If you visit Palmerston North, must place to have your Indian food. Kadala masala, Aubergines in roasted coriander and cashew, cauliflower Manchurian with kallappam & thathu dosa very yummy, tasty. Ambience was so nice, cleanliness was one other key factor which satisfied us. If you have a toddler, they have high chair as well, it’s easy access too.

Delish!!! I had the Chicken Chettinad lovely and spicy and the Kerala Paratha so fluffy you might want two. My husband had the Meen Pollichadhu Dry Dish wrapped in a banana leaf Its a fish curry and it was to die for, the flavors were so good and I've never thought to have fish for a curry before.Next we come back to palmy this is our go to for Indian.Its our top Indian restaurant.Will be driving up from Wellington again to visit.The staff are so lovely too!!! We asked for recommendation on the food and they did not disappoint.We had a lovely chat at the end too about the area of India the food comes from as it's southern Indian. Go chat to them and eat your way through the menu. So yummy!!!

Very nicely decorated and great atmosphere. Wait staff were quick to seat us and take our order, although it was somewhat busy. The main thing that let them down was their wait time between ordering dinner and receiving it. We waited 50 minutes for dinner, (we didn't order and entrée) and were starving by the time the food arrived. The food itself was nice and reasonable for its price. Scoring three stars just because of the wait time.

Really delicious and distinctive South Indian food. Not your average. Interesting menu and they use coconut cream instead of dairy, so you don't get that weighed down feeling. Staff are very welcoming, and it's a unique and stylish dining environment.

Right I don't beat around the bush, this place was great. Now the details about the great food. I live around some A grade indian joints and eat curries frequently and this place stacks up and even eclipses them. The menu is wide ranged, including things I'd never seen before with great informative descriptions. This place would be great in Auckland but instead it's in Palmy showing the Manawatu the best of the best.

The fragrance, surroundings, and service is all delightful from the moment you open the door to the moment you have to leave. The taste is simply out of this world, a must try restaurant for sure. We were greeted, seated and served quickly and by various helpful waiters. They gave great advice on spice levels and recommended sides to us. The drinks came out with speed and the wait on food was pretty quick too considering they had to serve starters and then judge when to serve mains. Spot on. I ordered the Masala Dosa as my starter as the menu stated it was one of the Top 10 dishes to try before you die. I mean... how could you not after that challenge! Zero regrets. The pancake wrapped around a delicious mix of spiced vegetables and was served with a variety of sauces. Somehow light and filling at the same time. My main was the Classic Butter Chicken but this was no ordinary meal. With no cream they thicken the sauce with veges and spice and it was maybe the best Butter Chicken I've ever had. Big call but that's how delicious it was. They continued to serve expertly the while time. Dishes wisked away moments after clearing them to the side. They even came by and asked us "Is everything alright with your spices?" And I love that. They asked about dessert and I would have loved to try but I just couldn't fit any more in. Maybe next time because I will absolutely be going back. Thanks crew! Amazing time. 💖

Wow. This place is hands down the best Indian we've ever eaten. My partner and I dined there tonight and the food was AMAZING, so flavorful and when it arrived it was like it was taken straight off the stove. The temperature was hot, and that was before we even tasted it. These guys know how to make the flavours pop. The balance between the flavours and spices were perfect. Service was attentive and friendly. They checked in us at appropriate times to check if we were happy with the meals etc. Will bring my family up from Wellington specifically to have a meal here. A friend of mine mentioned this palace on his FB page so I thought we'd try it out. Nice clean place and good atmosphere. The cuisine is different to what I'm used to. Party of ten, dinner last night. Service excellent, food superb, spices used were as ordered, mild, medium and spicy. BUT Price of starter platter for 4 minimum, $15.per person($60 for 4) felt it was extremely expensive for what was presented on the platter. The doughnuts were hard, the meat pieces were minute in size and overcooked so really couldnt taste whether you were eating beef chicken or whatever. Did expect better. But main meals were delightful. Our friends enjoyed the restaurant. Maybe a while before returning next.

I ate at Arranged Marriage with my partner and three other friends. The food we had was really excellent - full of flavour. It far exceeded my expectations. The restaurant itself is nice and big, so the atmosphere feels spacious, and it looks like it can accommodate plenty of diners. There were a couple of minor errors on the bill, but the manager could not have been more helpful and apologetic in sorting them out. Would totally go back.

If you are struggling to find a good Indian restaurant in palmy central this place is great because you can go for a stroll around the square an duck pond after a tasty meal. We were looking forward to dining in this restaurant since we discovered it focused on the cuisine of Kerala in south west India. We had spent time in Kerala in 2017 and loved the food there. We were delighted with the whole evening from, the warm welcome we received, to the aroma of the food cooking and especially the flavour of the delicious food. We tried several of the starters and each was tasty. I had the Kerala Chicken Curry with the Kerala Paratha bread, both were outstanding. Authentic Kerala style Fish Dishes and good starters. We drove as a group from Wellington for dinner on the 29th of Feb. Quite a good location and big space. Gets quite busy in the evenings. Enjoyed the Lentil Doughnuts and the accompanying chutney. Very crisp and better than the standard Wellington stuff. The Chicken 65, Masala Dosa was just as good. The best of the lot was the Grilled Fish Wrapped in Banana Leaf. Spicy and lip smacking taste. Good portion size as well. Service was good. We were asked how well we were enjoying our food multiple times. Great experience!

Went with large group for dinner and everyone loved the meal. We all ordered different things. The service was quick professional and excellent. I had the fish dish and would definitely go back and have it again. BYO restaurant which is unusual but excellent but also offers a good selection of wines beers and non alcoholic drinks. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good high quality meal for a reasonable price. Cannot fault the service or the cleanliness. Very popular place on a Saturday night so if you're looking to go here I would suggest you book in advance. Parking nearby is adequate but take the first one you see is it's in an area of other restaurants as well.

This is a place I'll always come back to as long as I'm able. First came here to have dinner with my boyfriend, and we've been back as often as we can to enjoy their great selection of food. Their menu is also vegetarian and vegan friendly, and the staff are always willing to help with your choices. They set a great atmosphere during dinner, with a candle lit dinner and great ambience to this restaurant, perfect for a romantic date night or just a place to relax and enjoy good food. Definitely a favourite place of mine.

Arranged marriage was an amazing experience. I'd consider myself a connoisseur of Indian cuisine, but have only had the chance to sample South Indian fare a few times in the past. As a lifelong fan of butter chicken (one of my top 5 favorite dishes), I had to try the South Indian style butter chicken (made without cream and using coconut). The sauce was incredible...the spice perfectly balanced such that even at medium spice level, I could still taste the cardamom and coconut. The presentation was also excellent, with the long grain Jasmine rice and butter chicken in separate silver bowls. The serving was generous, making the order of Kallappam (I'm probably ruining the spelling) - a pancake made from fermented rice and coconut milk - superfluous (but wonderful used to mop up the sauce). The service was extremely pleasant, and the small touches such as bringing extra service items, drinks, and even bottled water on a tray gave a touch of elegance to the meal. The final touch of a steamed and perfumed washcloth to freshen up after the meal complimented the excellent service. The food was gone too quickly to capture a photo, but not to worry...I will be back again! Cheers!

This is a place that's hard to resist. We have been here numerous times and absolutely love it. It's not your "standard curry house" that's for sure. Their range is quite different from the standard of Indian in nz. They focus on food from specifically south India, and man do they have it down pack. It's always a good time at arranged marriage. Whether your ordering take out or enjoying the in house vibes there is always good food to be had and service to enjoy. 11/10 would recommend. Only south Indian restaurant in palmy . Had visited the place many times , food tastes good. The place has a awesome view outside at night and fantastic interiors. ask the guys to prepare the food in authentic taste of KERALA while you order. FYI : adding more spices wont give the feel of south Indian dishes. The chefs and staffs are friendly, interact wit them to know more on the culture and food traditions of the place. This will help to find what to try from the menu , if you are trying explore food types in India .

Good food but let down by the poor service during busy times. On a Saturday night, waited over half and hour to order the meals and nearly left. Once we ordered, food took 25 minutes to arrive so not too bad. Priced higher end for Indian food but appropriate for the quality of food. I would go again on a less busy night.
