We went as a group of six for my nephew’s 15th birthday. It was quite loud and difficult to talk to each other at the table. The best food we had was the sweet potato fries. The burgers while tasty were very small for the price. They had no A&W root beer, and the waitress spilled my beer on me. Not a great start. They seem busy but I wouldn’t return.

This new place has a really nice atmosphere. Cocktail menu is small but they are really well done. Not many main dishes type of options, only burgers - passion fruit martini is great! I went with a group of 4 and the restaurant appeared fully booked. Drinks came fast but unfortunately our all food took over an hour to arrive which was disappointing. We were not told it would be such a wait. When the food finally did arrive it was all good and tasty. But not worth an hour wait. The staff where all lovely but seems a bit stressed and unorganised. I would come back but maybe late or early dinner not busy time.

If you’re looking for your North American fix, this is the place to go! From delicious wings and burgers to poutine and maple-flavoured everything, this place has it! Really good price for solid food. It’s a bit heavy but it’s North American food!! What were you expecting!?? Come and getcha some and recommend it to a friend! —A Happy American (Highly recommend the wings, fried cauliflower, and mac n cheese!)

Finally visited this spot I've been hearing such great things about and it did not disappoint. The photos speak for itself but we ordered, Fried Cauliflower - incredibly tasty, couldnt replicate this at home if i tried! The burgers are very flavourful- smashed patty's with a tonne of pickles (at my request) and a very generous helping of american sliced cheese! Poutine is obviously a staple here, and you're spoilt for choice from Newfie to bacon to original. Cocktails were a huge highlight- the Canadian is an excellent sweet option and the Old Fashioned is incredible- the perfect amount of sweet (maple) and bitter(s) - I had x4! Whether you're a local or you're driving through, this is a must stop destination!

Amazing restaurant! Very simple, but incredibly tasty meals (burgers, chicken wings, poutine- chips with gravy and cheese, with optional ad-ons). The burger patties are often bigger than the bun! Great for ordering individually or sharing as a group. The cocktails are really good too and I love the weekly specials (sometimes it's a new cocktail, sometimes a meal). Absolutely worth a try! We just keep coming back for more!

First time trying Beaver and Bear and everything about this place is amazing. The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were strong and good! The maple butter on the Cobb loaf is to die for. Our server was so friendly and she was laid back, I forgot to get her name but she is a definite asset to the company. We will be back again!

Have always been a huge fan of the truck and was not disappointed by the restaurant experience! Food was fab as always, the cocktails were to die for (even the pickle one which I thought was going to be weird, but it was delightful) and the service was outstanding. When I went to pay I was even greeted by name. Our whole table thoroughly enjoyed their dining experience and we're already planning our next night out at Beaver & Bear.

A huge improvement in both decor, menu and service from the old Godreys grill. Suggest you book because they are busy. Food was good, and only thing was, it was pricey for what amounted to a couple of burgers, and a shared dessert. 3 drinks added $50 to the tab. Excellent flavours, efficient service

We went for dinner on Friday 14th January. Booked in as my husband has some dietary restrictions and on arrival we were handed a list of food that he could have😍😍 amazing customer service, food was absolutely delicious, cocktails were amazing, staff very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back thanks so much Beaver and Bear!!!

BEST restaurant in Palmy! The food is to die for, the service is on point and the cocktail and craft beer selection is one of a kind. We took our one year old and she ploughed her way through the scrumptious poutine and mac n cheese (we had trouble getting our fair share!) can't wait to dine here again, Beaver and Bear have got it sussed 👌🥰

I've visited B+B twice now and have been absolutely blown away with each experience. The servers and staff have always been so friendly and able to cater to all our needs. The food has always been a 11/10, and the poutine is a must-try!!! The menu itself has a great range of dishes to try that leave you satisfied and happy. They also have a wide range of drinks and cocktails that are super unique and delicious! The resturant is relaxed and welcoming -the perfect place for good, authentic comfort food and a drink or two with friends. Exactly what Palmy was missing!

Called in this afternoon without a reservation to see if they could fit us in. Warm friendly staff found us a space and then served up mac and cheese and spicy shrimps to share followed by a Reece’s Pieces warm and gooey brownie - also to share. The food was packed with taste, crispy bacon and chives in the mac and cheese, and the shrimps had a fantastic dip and just the right amount of heat… even the pickiest daughter in the world who was with me was raving about the food! A new favourite place, really reasonable cost but I will book next time because Beaver and Bear is going to be packed out with happy customers if my experience today is anything to go by!

Good and affordable food that meet my expectations. The service was very average. Dumping cutlery in the middle of the table, no thought put into when the dishes were served (Bread loaf came last not first as you would expect), lack of knowledge of the menu ( this would have saved us from ordering an extra $2 sauce that we said we wanted to try but didn't notice was already included with the meal.) The waitress could paid a little more attention to their customers body language to notice when we were ready to order rather than constantly asking. This could also be due not having enough work to do as it definitely felt like there was more staff than tables. They also have been friendlier and look like they actually wanted to be there. With so many staff I would expect the service to be top notch. Seems like some new business/employee teething, but it won't stop me returning in the future. )

Scrumptious chicken wings and Mixed Berry Sangria 💕 . The wait time for the food was a little bit longer than I expected. Other than that, we were satisfied with the meal and the friendly service. 🥰 we'll definitely come back again! (Forgot to take photos of the food.. too hungry 😋)

Since starting the food truck I have visited once (sometimes twice) a week and was excited when the team announced they were opening a kitchen and bar! My first visit to the kitchen and bar last week exceeded my expectations!! The staff were extremely accomodating shuffling our booking due to unforeseen circumstances making us late. Everyone was bubbly and attentive and the food was delicious as always!! New menu items where a hit :) Already making my next booking as I type, can't wait to visit again.

Had a lovely dinner at this restaurant with my wife and son. The poutine chips were nice however I think next time I’ll ask to have the gravy on the side so I can have the chips still crisp.chicken wings were good but the smash burgers were the stand out for me. Buns light and buttery and the patty had nice crispy ends. Only criticism would be to have the burgers a fraction bigger. All in all, he tino reka te kai :)

We couldn't decide between the starters so we got one of everything and it was all so good! The service was exceptional and all the staff were friendly and willing to go above and beyond, nothing was an issue for them. We can't wait to go back and try the rest of the cocktails.

A truely delightful and scrumptious experience. Very welcoming as you walk through the door to be seated in a inviting, warm atmosphere. The staff are friendly and cater to all your dining needs. The menu is at first a mystery. But once served, you then understand why the owners wanted kiwis to experience this unique taste and flavour. I recommend this dining experience to those who are curious to try, such as my family and I. Do not hesitate too long. You don’t know what your missing. Nga mihi nui.

Wowee, was blown away by the service AND the fried chicken, also had the maple bacon wings which I highly recommend and the popcorn shrimp which was beautiful. This is a must do in Palmy North, bringing Canadian fare to our backyard! Great job!
