I recommend ordering directly through their own website rather than other delivery websites. Cheaper food, bigger portions and much quicker too. I bought 2 fish, 2 spring rolls, 2 hotdogs, small chips, and a deep fried mars bar and got about double of what I expected. I still ate it all in one sitting 🙂

Great place to stop at for an affordable late night feed. Just wish the smorgasboard would return, I miss it very much.

Price is now $6.50 for two burgers - not bad. Three pieces of fish in a fish burger, but I like the two Jumbo burgers. Chinese trays also good quality and price. Open late. Probably the most popular Chinese takeaways in town. Dine in ok. Not comfortable but fantastic for this price range.

Staff sometimes good sometimes rude. This place is known as the tokken drunk people or winz people fish and chip/takeaway place in palmy. Used to be really cheap but recently prices have gone up, maybe because of living wage or new minimum wages cost to cover maybe why? But with things costing more, some things on the menu don't taste as good as they used to.

You have to get the super fish burger, it is a meal for two. Great value and better service, have to go back and try the smorgasbord, was not available during covid-19 level 2. No takeaway menus.

For a family with little money but looking for a treat, this place is good for that. Once upon a time the fish burgers were massive, they still are to some degree only the fish is halved, battered and cooked. Three pieces per burger. Price has gone up from $5 for 2 burgers to $5.50 for two. So not a major increase. At night, I think after 8 or 9pm they have the Smorgasbord and sell $5 per tray. Its to get all whats left sold I reckon. We had wonton soup once, it was unfortunately very bland, I needed to add my own noodle soup sachets to give it some spicy taste. The wontons were 98% wonton and little meat. The seats are far too high and a mission for my short legs to climb up onto, but maybe a good thing theyre fixed to the floor, then some drunk people less likely to pick them up and throw em around lol. Yes the lady can look grumpy sometimes, but I dont know her story, but I'm there for the food. Its not ideal customer service, and shes not always like that but I dont let it get to me. We all have our moods, maybe your smile might change the world 😊. So food is ok for price and ok for taste if youre hungry and nothings open. They work hard, and stay open late some days. Thank you Golden Takeaways for feeding my whanau.

Staple of a night out. If you're complaining about what you got at these prices then there's three fast food joints 500m down the road. I usually get steak jumbo and fish and put a piece in the steak for a fuller burger. Vege burger isn't bad either ngl

Open very early hours of the morning. Serving all sorts of patrons,from families to drunks in the early hours,this doesnt stop them making great burgers an tasty food!. Off to the movies? Eat a burger or cheap smorgasbord here an save spending too much at the cinemas on extra food.
