Hands down the best Chinese restaurant in Palmy, even better than a lot of other Chinese restaurant in Wellington. Their yamcha and their Chinese dishes have always been very consistent, delicious and tasty. Portions are also very generous. The service and staffs have been amazing and have always been very accommodating even when they’re busy. Highly recommend this place. Do try theirs spicy sour soup, and their Peking duck.

Family favourite Chinese restaurant, come here very regularly and they have consistently delivered good dishes and service !! Dim sum and dinner is equally yum! Highly recommend this place! On a side note, if the tofu 花 was served with ginger syrup, it would make the dish 10x better :)

The Chinese Restaurant with yum cha dim sums to order. Some of the items are only available on weekend. We ordered the black sesame roll dessert but replied that the restaurant has stopped offer this dish for a while. On the whole, the food are yummy with reasonable price.

Honestly amazing! We drove there from Hawkes Bay because it’s our closest yum cha (unbelievable but true), worth every little bit! The food was delicious, the staff were so lovely! Five (enthusiastic) stars from me!

Chinese food based restaurant. Pricing is fairly good given there's alot to eat. Interior very spartan but spacious and clean. Dined as a group of 9 and had the banquet selection of food served over about the period of 1/2hr. The longest part was the entrees then the remainder of the meals came in quick succession. BYO. Or bottle store opposite to get ya 🍷😉

Went out for dinner with a couple of friends, they had been recommended the place. We didn't really know what to expect but we were hoping for a good night out and a good dinning experience. Discovered on our arrival that the place is a BYO which is okay as there is a liquor store around the corner and a supermarket across the road. Wow the menu was huge we brought and shared our meals we couldn't eat it all. If I go back and again I would have a banquet as it appears to be value for money. Good service good food.

Delicious food and very good service. We had a banquet for 4 people and added crispy duck which was delicious. Our 3 mains were crispy pork, satay beef and sweet & sour chicken served with egg fried rice.

I will admit I was hesitant to go here just because of the name, turns out to be the best Chinese food I've ever had. The price was very reasonable and food beautifully done. Will definitely be visiting again

Excellent food and very friendly staff members. We arrived in the middle of a very hot day and the manager turned on the A/C straight after welcomed us in. Also offered to change our table to somewhere away from the direct blow of the A/C unit so our food do not get cold too fast. It offers a variety of choice from Dim Sum to normal Chinese meal dishes. Great experience here!

Wow. We just had a wonderful experience at Tasty. Such fabulous food, good value, fresh and presented beautifully. Thanks for the amazing hospitality. We will be back. This would be the best Chinese food in Palmerston North. Come on people, this is better than the others in town. Delicious!!!!! . You won't be disappointed. Four of us spent less than we would at a buffet and took the extras home.

Our favorite restaurant in Palmy. Always go for gum cha. Possibly better than most gum cha in Hong Kong even. Owners are friendly. Always recommended friends to go there and they were not disappointed!

I have spent a lot of time in Asia so I feel confident in saying the food here is excellent. More authentic than anywhere else in NZ. The ambience and service let's the place down sadly. Hence the 4 star. A hidden gem.

Honestly One of the best chinese restaurant in palmy!! We never expected it but Its on a pricey side but worth it when the food is great! The roast duck is a must try, it has crispy skin tender meat also the noodles were very chinese style fried noodle tasted fire grilled and the yum cha was good too. Best restaurant ive found in palmy so far! Def going back!! Also the service is excellent too

Clean, Trendy, Nice food, good for people who aren't used to eating Asian foods as it's very westernized, so good for the family and friends, How ever I'm one of the odd kiwis who would prefer something more authentic. And the fish definitely needs a bigger tank, or the tank needs a smaller fish and some plants ect, it's a bit of a sorry site to see.

Really loved our Sunday Yum Cha lunch today. The staff were very accomodating to our children 5yrs and 7yrs. Our 7yr old loved everything declaring it his favourite restaurant but our fussy 5yr old did order a piece of fish separate to the Yum Cha. Kids could have icecream to finish. There were traditional Cantonese offering a such as intestines and chicken feet but we really enjoyed the dumplings and puddings etc. Will definitely go again.
