Its absolutely a lovely warm Relaxed Restaurant my favorite dish is Tom Kha chicken soup with pieces of Roti and peanut dipping sauce its certainly the place to take your tastebuds on a journey to the Orient. Wow

Went here for a meal while spending the night in palmerston north. Extremely handy to motel and was nice to be able to walk to dinner. Service is top notch and the food was served very quickly indeed. Price was very reasonable. I would definitely dine here again and recommend others to try it

I had the yummiest green curry ever here. Previously I'd never liked green curry, or just never had any that were good. I asked them to swap out the meat for tofu and veggies and it was amazing. Sweet with just the right amount of spice. The veggies were fresh and chunky. We had takeout and the order was ready quickly and tasted really fresh. Super lovely ambience and the people were lovely. Over recent months have used Thai Orchid for work functions (20 plus people) three times. The food has been very good each time. The Proprietor has looked after us very well and has always been very courteous, helpful and accommodating. The setting is really pleasant and atmosphere good. Highly recommended for groups and social gatherings. Good value for money too. 👍😁

Omg - I read a previous review regarding the Crispy Pork Red Curry. Curiously, I ordered it.... This is undoubtedly the BEST Thai dish I have ever tasted in New Zealand 🇳🇿 so far - & I dine out every week. The warm atmosphere & tasteful furnishing together with friendly, efficient service is well worth tipping afterwards.

The service is 5 star, friendly and efficient, nothing is a problem for them. I rate the food as some of the best Thai food I have had in NZ. A large selection of fresh vegetables in the required dishes. Very generous portions of meats and seafoods. Well balanced flavors in all the in the starters, entrees and mains . Very affordable dining in and takeaway prices.

Loved the food here! The sweet and sour tasted great, and loved the vegetable and cashew dish which had its own edible bowl. It was typical Palmerston North prices, I felt it could be a bit cheaper, but it was still a lovely meal, great venue and lovely serving staff.

The people are very nice, helpful, and always smiling. Great customer service, very attentive and they made sure we were happy. They lost a star because there wasn't much food on the plates for the amount they charge. I wish they offered more starters and sharing platters.

We arrived at Thai Orchid fairly late on a Friday, a group of 10 people and were lucky enough to be accomodated, even though the restaurant looked fairly full. The food was delicious, large portions and the service was fast and efficient. Everyone in the group enjoyed their food, and all agreed we would definately return, I had the Beef Red Curry which was delicious and also the Roti which was good.

Best Chicken Cashew Nut and Pad Thai I’ve had in palmy so far. I always order on the phone and pick it up to take home after a long day in the weekend. I’m not a fan of many other Thai takeaways that I’ve tried here yet, so happy to give this a 5/5!

We ordered the banquet for two and every part was de-lic-ious!!! The Singapore steakon a sizzling platter was my favourite, great mix of fresh veges too. The curry puff in the appetizers was the best I've tasted and the fruit salad and ice cream was much better than the usual restaurant fruit salads, every bite a delight, felt like we were in Thailand.
