Another fabulous meal here last night. My favourite was the Brulee, which was such a good finish to the dinner. One month later I'm back again. Loved the kingfish sashimi and battered oysters and had to finish with the Brulee again .

Wicked staff and awesome atmosphere. Great for a few drinks in the evening, but even better for lunch or dinner. Fresh seafood, beautiful steaks, and plenty of great options for the whole family. I was really impressed with the level of service here and that is key for any restaurant. Don't even get me started on the views and scenery of this place, it is truly something you need to see for yourself.

Came here a few weeks back on a Wednesday, Beautiful place with great decor. Ordered two Aperol Spirtz outside on the deck and had to wait nearly 30 minutes from them to arrive. Went to pay and ended up waiting 15 minutes because a group were splitting the bill. staff weren't impressive when we enquired about the food and we overheard one customer ask for a Bloody Mary and got the response " i don't know what that is".

What can I say except thank the heavens that I found this gem of a place to go and be with friends to enjoy great cocktails and exceptional service. Matt the owner, comes from a chef background and has worked across the globe in numerous countries and now has settled in Papamoa. I had the privilege of spending some time talking to him on Thursday night (Ladies Night 2 for 1 Cocktails) and chatting about his journey in creating such an awesome venue for the locals. Besides the amazing views from the deck of the beautiful beach at sunset, Matt’s priority is clearly on delivering exceptional food and drinks with great hospitality which just comes naturally to him. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are just quality, attending to your every need. The live music rung out from the veranda and the place was humming with locals all enjoying the opportunity to get out about in our amazing community and relax in comfort and style. The food was delicious, the drinks were on point and were quick to arrive at the table. I can definitely say that I will be returning to the Blue Biyou to continue to explore the fabulous menu and build memories with the locals!

Enjoyed a delicious 40th anniversary lunch yesterday. We both had seafood and a nice bottle of vino. Atmosphere is great looking out over the Domain to sea and the service was excellent. Will certainly go again next time we are over this way.

Is was a shame the service was sloppy. Water was warm tap water!( Did they not have room in the fridge!). The platter to share had rock hard cheese! and very little to share for two, we could count the peanuts!. They ask if we wished for a ice bucket for our bottle of wine!( Is that not a given!). We didn't see the waiter again! We were comfortable for an extra bottle!. Oh well, there loss!. But it couldn't change my mood. Had the best company to share this under new management experience.

Food was superbly cooked and fresh produce clearly used. Nice ambiance and good sound acoustics - could hear dining companions clearly but not the tables around us or blaring music. This is a really nice place with good views. I recommend to make a reservation if you want to grab a table by the window. It might a bit pricy but the foods are amazing and lots of drink options. Staffs are really kind too. I went on dinner time and watching the sunset from inside was beautiful :)

Pappardella Pollo with grilled chicken was very yummy and just the right serving size, but slighty over priced at $24. Service was friendly and prompt. We nearly missed out on getting served at 2:30 but got in after a discussion with the staff. Suggest that the kitchen should stay open right through to dinner, especially during the festive season.

My wife and I had a lovely meal at this restaurant last night. My wife had the pork belly and scallops and I had the lamb rack. We had Eton Mess and chocolate cheesecake with mousse for dessert. The restaurant has a wonderful panoramic view looking out to the Pacific Ocean and with tall pohutukawa trees. The best thing about the restaurant, though is its staff. They are thoughtful and kind without being obsequious and evidently enjoy each other's company. This is infectious and cannot be over-rated. This is a very enjoyable restaurant and we wish the owners and staff team well.

Had a lovley meal last night at Bluebiyou. We didnt order any starters, but we were seated and served drinks immediatly. My partner ordered the Lamb Rack & Smoked Lamb Rump, & I ordered the Honey & Orange Glazed Duck - they were both well presented and delicious! For dessert we ordered the Sticky Date Pudding & Layer Chocolate Torte - they were also excellent with the Sticky Date pudding being our fave. We paid for most of the meal with a voucher we were gifted & paying this way was easy and seamless. The overall service was good & we look forward to coming back to try more of the menu!

Long story short.... very pleasing! Firstly great location and fantastic view of the ocean with the opened up dining area the breeze was quite refreshing! We had two fantastic entrees to share and I must say the duck liver parfait was delicious! The service the entire time was very good! Kids menu was good also! My four year old daughter asked for the macaroni cheese and when it came out the serving size was very good my daughter approved! I had a steak which was cooked to perfection sided with ricotta dumplings and it was spot on! My mum had the free range chicken dish and said it's the best tasting chicken she's had in a very long time. And my partner had a salmon and tortellini dish , the salmon was on point! Very well done guys!

A friend and I recently had an unsatisfactory lunch whereby we weren't told the special of the day was what we ordered until after we'd paid for 2 glasses of wine which were a part of the deal. All good now. Owner courteously has offered vouchers for 2 complete meals plus wine. Full credit for customer service. Great location. Plenty of parking.

The food as always was great. It was cold in the plastic covered areas. The enjoyment our meal was spoiled by some out of control children who were running up and down and loud. I feel if parents think their children are old enough to take to a adult restaurant , then they should ensure those children behave appropriately. There is always MacDonalds! I was disappointed that when we pointed out the disruptive behavior to the staff..they chose to ignore it. Parents need to be responsible. It definitely detracted from our evening's enjoyment.

Ok, the food was AMAZING, and that of course is the main thing. I mean, really good. Kingfish Sashimi entrée to die for; crispy-skin snapper main (it didn't need the very spicey sausage); & crazy good date pudding dessert (you should copyright that caramel sauce!). I had asked for a seaview table when booking earlier in the day, & was told they can't be guaranteed. We didn't get one (in fact i had to sit with my back to the view), but a seaview table sat empty the whole time with a Reserved sign on it. Hmmm... Also, the waitress interrupted us twice during the meal to ask if it was ok. The first time we were talking & she spoke over us, the second time we both had full mouths with your delicious food. Surely both signs everthing's ok!

We celebrated an 80th birthday with a luncheon at Bluebiyou this week. The menu offered a good selection, and all 10 meals were delicious. The chef did a wonderful job with the combination of flavours and presentation, and the desserts were a perfect ending to a memorable meal. Crystal was very professional right from the first contact, and looked after us very well. It's great to have a top-class restaurant in our community, and we will be visiting again soon.

(7 of us ) The hamburger was okay but the trifle was the Best Ever 👍👍 Beautiful lemon sponge with summer fruits poached in vanilla syrup with panna cotta and yogurt . Topped with blueberry and strawberry slices. Absolutely delicious. A beautiful setting looking out on to the ocean on a summer's day . Service was also good but try to be under a fan when so hot! The Restaurant was very busy and the service was very slow- maybe another staff member would have been a good idea for the busy holiday season. However we will return.

The food was superb and venue at our spontaneous lunch but it was very underhanded being asked as we were seated if we wanted sparkling water or still water for lunch. Nice gesture but we were never told the sparkling water was $15 for a bottle!!! A lot of restaurants have sparkling water on tap and it is free the same as water. Looking around all the other tables the same revenue tactic was used as the majority of tables had sparkling water on them.. or maybe I am out of touch with restaurant protocols? I would have paid for a wine and had free water !! Should have been told when it was offered!

One of the best breakfasts I've had, ever. Mushrooms in walnut cream sauce with gorgonzola and polenta, with a side of bacon. Every mouthful was delicious. Other dishes looked great too. Coffee was fabulous (I only drink decaf). And the setting... just gorgeous. Overlooking Papamoa Beach, simply stunning. There are no bad tables. We also ate dinner here last night and that was superb also. I had lamb rump which just melted in the mouth, flavour was incredible. We weren't that hungry so didn't order sides, however the portions were more than adequate as they were. Note that the meals come exactly as they are stated so if you want veggies with your meal you should order a side - perhaps to share. Staff are top notch and very experienced. Right next door to our accommodation at Papamoa Beach Resort. I can't think how it could be better.

We were at a wedding recently enjoyed the food and beautiful seaview. However were disappointed that there were no facilities for changing babies nappies. My daughter had to lay her baby on the floor in a corner to change her nappy at one stage and the next time took her and lay her on the grass outside. A restaurant which has receptions should cater for everyone, the baby was only 3 months old. Thankfully the weather was fine.

It's always an absolute pleasure to celebrate whatever constitutes a special occasion at Bluebiyou. The service is incredible and the staff are lovely, the food will for certain not disappoint (I love the pork and the steak) and the bonus is the view of the beach at sunset. I feel I also have to mention the Tiramisu which is my personal favourite dessert and is always fantastic. Ultimately I love Bluebiyou and can't recommend it highly enough.

We are so very pleased we decided to try the BlueBiyou again. The food was superb, we had the Vension Carpaccio, Bruschetta Mista, Angus & Duck Nicoise. Very friendly wait staff and great service throughout the meal. As my husband is an amazing chef, we were very happy with the entire meal. Christmas day lunch 2017 was unsurpassed. The food was delectable and on par with any international 5* restaurant in Europe. It was tantalizing from the start, to the oysters and champagne on arrival, to the sous-vide/grilled lamb ribs butter scotch fried scallops and eggplant parmigiana as entrees. The plates were delivered at just the right rest intervals between each course. The mains (still going at 3 pm) were out of the world with gravlax of cured salmon and grilled tiger prawns 3 ways. The cleansing sgropino was divine before embarking upon the roasted lamb rack and duck a l-orange which was delectable. The desserts were inspiring and the strawberries were encased in a delicious syrup. The waitresses were attentive and friendly, and the Italian wine list, especially the Pipoli Agliancio del Vulture is highly recommended. I highly recommend the Blue Biyou Restaurant.
