I don't know why some bad reviews of this place...I've been here about 10 times....probably the best butter chicken i've ever had in New Zealand, service with a smile, and beautiful people. Such good butter chicken. Can't pull myself to try anything else as it's so yummy. If you want nicer decor and atmosphere, go to a fancy Indian restaurant and pay three times as much, for not as flavourful food!

Taste good, but small portion. Got takeaway main + naan + samosa. Was still hungry. In other places I can barely finish combo like this..

My favorite place in te puke for indian food! My favourite thing about Punjav Express would have to be the great prices on their specials, highly recommend trying the Punjabi Thali!

Only 4 stars because the decour isn't great. It's more eat in rather than evening dinner although you can. The food however is very authentic & really good. Lots of Indians in The Puke because if the Kiwi Fruit industry which means genuine Indian cuisine. Lunchtime is the time to go & get a special.
