S.Fantastic tasting food, lovely front staff. Lovely atmosphere, tidy & clean. Would be a fancy option for a low key date. Menu for dinner looks great. I usually go get take out from there even though I live 50 min away from it & take it home for dinner it's so good. Found it when I got stuck in Kapiti when there were all the slips. Definitly worth a visit.

K.Lovely atmosphere. Big glass doors open to the breeze. Everything fresh & clean. Had an early dinner with a glass of rosé after swimming in the warm ocean. Simple menu. Tasty food. Delicious roti. Perfectly flavoured rice. Way above being a takeaway.
P.We keep going back. Excellent meal every time we've been. It's our favourite restaurant. After living in South-East Asia for 7 years this place reminds us of being on holiday there. Two of our favourite meals are the Goat Curry and the Lamb Varuval.
J.We were driving pass the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon and decided to try this place. It was incredible, we were welcomed so kindly, the service was so good and the meals were huge and delicious. We definitely recommend to come on a Sunday afternoon it was very relaxing and enjoyable!🤗

K.Food was full of flavour and served promptly due to our limited time. The front person was charming and couldn't have been more helpful. No time for a sweet course today so going back for the divine banana roti another day!

V.Hi There , Just anted to mention the experience Had a quick visit to Paraparaumu -Kapiti the other day , was a good summer time for drive , and was damn hungry , luckily visited "Banana Leaf Malaysian Restaurant " which was one of bucket list to taste "Malaysian Food ", had a good time , with *** CHEF - Devi ( Duty Manager ) *** , very kind , professional and enthusiastic CHEF - suggested me chicken ( ps the pic ) , it was so tasty absolute type of "KFC chicken - with Special ingredients of Malaysian style also had rice and chicken curry was so delicious .over all good taste , fantastic customer service , 100% Recommended - To Have a good time visit " Banana Leaf Malaysian Restaurant

V.Very good Malaysian food, as good as any I have had in SE Asia. Friendly owner. Bit pricier than I am used to in Auckland but for area and the quality, well worth it in my opinion. Beautiful presentation, unfortunately I forgot to photograph the main. Takeaway also available

A.Best Malaysian I've eaten and I am a HUGE FAN of this cuisine. I'd recommend to anyone. Service could've been a weenie bit better but very polite, accommodating, friendly and confident about the menu (knew her food)
K.Ended up getting a take away from here as we missed our table reservation. Very accommodating. The flavours in the chicken curry and beef rendang were excellent, with fresh herbs and spices. Looking forward to a sit in meal as it looked nice and unpretentious in the restaurant.
Back again a year later, food still excellent. The curry laksa was amazing. Curry puffs and fish cutlets very nice too.

I.Beautiful Malaysian-style food. The mixed platter for two and the Banana Leaf chicken curry that we had tonight were delicious. The chairs may be a bit worn but the service is attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.
B.We stayed at raumati beach for 2 nights on a road trip. We got takeaways from here so we could sit on the deck of our unit & enjoy the view.
Our meal was delicious so would definitely go back there. The owner was very friendly too. Ordered some more chicken skewers the next night too as they were so good

M.Exceptionally tasty food, with a lot of great vegetarian options. The owner was lovely, as was the woman who brought our food out (and presumably cooked it). This has become a definite stop for any trip along the Kapiti Coast for me.

J.Went in for lunch yesterday. It was after normal hours but they kept it open for us which was real really lovely. The food was good, and they have a sensible and interesting kids menu.
