Stopped here for lunch - dog friendly and we had our pup with us, only allowed outside but that was covered with outdoor heaters so not too bad. We sat inside on the other side of the glass door and I had probably the best BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avo, tomato) on ciabatta I've had in a very long time! 👌🏼 Nice to have a glass of wine with it and the staff were all lovely. The interior decor is a bit cold and bland, could do with a bit of cosiness or some little touches, but clean and new looking.

🌹 Second time here. Great place to eat ... food is super hot from cooked to table. Had steak this time ... well worth it for the price. This will be an up and coming place for eating out in Pokeno. Great staff as well. Cheers.

Fairly roomy place. Usual cafe fare. Nice coffee. Tasty looking cabinet food. Open steak sandwich was fine.

Yum yum yum, we had vege samosa sausage rolls, they were Devine. Hubby had usual chocolate milk shake I had citrus 2% beer. Well worth the stop off.

Prawn cocktail, very nice, and calamari, just fine. My friend had the T-bone steak that looked awesome! Update: scotch steak is 10/10 and breakfast dishes are glorious as well.

Lovely place good customer service, food looked fantastic and was actually very yum only 1 gripe is i ordered a medium sirloin but got a rare sent back for more cooking time came back medium rare... lol but by then I was starving and ate it as it was ... and it was delicious apart from the blood hahahaha will try back here again. :)

Very friendly Service. A lot of space on the inside and standing tables on the outside. Anyways, Insidearea is quit chilly. Lunch/Dinner Range is quit high priced but baking goods have a fair (compared to the dinner cheap) Price. Chocolate Mudcake was very delicious! Service is friendly and very welcoming

Comfortable environment. Menu heavily features 'comfort food' - deep fried chips, ribs, burgers, pizza. The vegetarian pizza, and the calamari entree are our family faves

An enjoyable breakfast and nice and pleasant staff , only thing i can fault was only 1 slice of toast with the big english breakfast, other than that a nice place and we will return again for sure .

There's 3 of us that go here after Pokeno Market finishes and we walk in and the girls and lady know what we have very friendly team of workers...love it great service thank you guy's

Great Cafe with lovely staff and a nice space for small catch ups or a private room for group meetings. Main downside is that they are closed Mondays.

Nice clean, cool place to visit after the markets. Egg Benedict was delicious

The front of house staff are exceptionally, friendly and very attentive they are welcoming and serve you promptly. The dining area is clean, tidy and somewhat minimalist it could do with something to give it a bit of warmth in the metaphorical sense but it is quite pleasant nonetheless. Now to the food, it's the reason for the visit after all. We ordered 2 roast lambs specials at $20 per meal. The taste was ok, not as good as you would get from a good takeaway roast shop and in size would be no more than a "small" portion from your typical roast takeaways. For desert we took a couple of apple turn-overs away from the cabinet section at $5 each, these barely had any filling and were about on par with the $2 ones from Pack n Save, a bit underwhelming. I really wanted to love this Cafe as we are local and the serving staff were so good but sadly the food lacked love. We are not big people or big eaters but we left hungry.

The cafe pub is our go to on the way south but this time we stopped on the way back through and enjoyed a meal fit for a truckie, I mean who needs three ham steaks on one plate? 🤔 Great service Fast and very pleasant

Everything was wonderful: service, food, setting. At first, it did not look like it was going to be a well-lit place from the outside but was pleasantly surprised. Thank you for today! We will definitely come again whenever we drive past Pokeno again.

By far the best place to eat and drink. Everyone needs to have the Butchers Block, it's one of a kind and always satisfying. Customer service is fantastic. Love this place!!

Staff were friendly. The meal was ok but unfortunately the chips came out pre salted and while I didn't add more luckily there was way to much so couldn't eat them. The other two meals were fine. Dessert was good. First time going there I've been disappointed.

First time I have been and it is fabulous! Place looks great. Service was good. Pricing was very reasonable and the food was very tasty too. Bonus is that the coffee is bang on as well so I have another place I can go now for great coffee. Well done team.

Nice and spacious Unfortunately the food was a let down. I think they need to try harder in serving Better food. We were there for nearly two hours with Friends and in that time the table wasn’t cleared.

We really enjoyed our dinner..Good menu with lots of options. We had Thai pumpkin coconut soup with bread and a bacon burger with fries. The staff are really friendly and it has a great inclusive atmosphere. So good we are returning there in the morning for latte before catching our flight back to Canada ..

Top place clean great food service

The potential is here. The presentation is welcoming, the food in the cabinet looks really nice. I had the mince & cheese pie, really nice to have a great homemade pie. A little disappointed it was reheated in a microwave making the pastry tough & rubbery. I would definitely go back here when I am in Pokémon.

Was really looking forward to trying this place, the exterior looks really good, and we were looking forward to a relaxed bar/restaurant atmosphere. Sadly the interior doesnt match the exterior, hate to say between the grey walls, blue carpet, tv screens and 80s tables and chairs it feels like the local RSA. The food itself was ok, chicken burger is a deep fried patty, nothing flash but well prepared. Service was excellent, but more of a cafe then bar/restaurant

First visit last night. Group of 12/3 generations ages 76 - 23. Lovely clean atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful. Food ..no complaints just compliments. Definately our new go to local in the future.

I think that there eggs and bacon are just cooked to perfection so if anyone loves bacon n egg come down you would love there eggs

Been here a couple of times and meals are great, and enjoyed, but being a drinker $10.50 for dbl Appletons and coke, then a friend went and got charged $12.00 for a Vodka and coke. Ouch. First put this on a month ago with no response.

Its was ok in a nice way, more leaning to 4 ☆'s. Food was nice but seemed lacking something!? Hubby felt the same. Staff were awesome and very efficient. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

First time and I am hooked. Ordered the T-Rex (T bone and ribs $38) and it was huge, value for money. My wife loved her meal and couldn't finish it and the dessert was awesome. We will be regulars.

Today's coffee was greatly improved. Tried to support local by going here as soon as they opened. The coffee was awful! After about 10 attempts we gave up. Haven't been back since lockdown started. Tried again today instead of having to drive to Hampton Downs or Te Kauwhata. Pleasantly surprised.

An up and progressive township soon to be come even better with a new super market being built. All so to see is the queens redoubt historic fort at the end of the town.
