What a wonderful restaurant. Friendly staff, food was amazing and the Vodka with every course topped of an wonderful meal. Can't wait to come back. So many other things to try off menu.

Amazing amazing place!! My husband and I never had Polish food before, so this restaurant was our introduction. It was quiet busy, a small family run restaurant. The food is gorgeous and we fell in love. We mostly shared everything, my husband and I. We started of with the bread, it was quite a range of breads and Dips very filling. Then for mains, kielbasa hash, loved the sausage. For dessert we had chocolate bomb. A very nice dining experience. Shall come with friends next time to introduce them to some polish food. Thanks

We've been to Topor several times now and they never disappoint. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food tasty and filling and of course their own vodka is a highlight, great flavours to choose from. They have a good range of beer too. Can't go wrong here!

Returning for dinner after seven years abroad, including visiting Poland, I'm still a huge fan of this restaurant. If only Porirua had more eateries of this calibre. Tonight I had the Kaszanka to start, and the Duck Breast for my main, both superb. Sadly, work sends me away again, but I hope that next time I am in Porirua I can find myself here again. Perhaps next time I am in New Zealand I'll get to try those vodka pairings, too!

We had a wonderful meal, I think we could have ordered anything from the menu and would have been very happy. Very pleased when we asked for the pierogi without aioli and they asked if we'd like it with sour cream. Go for the vodka match with your order - Na Zdrowie!

Did not know what to expect....no idea about Polish food. Think menu is balanced between traditional food and 'what Kiwis will eat' with a Polish twist... Only my thoughts. The group I was with all enjoyed what the menu offered. Presentation of dishes was admired by everyone. My meal was outstanding. The Chocolate Bomb desert... Outstanding...with or without a Vodka or two. Herd the Cheesecake and panna cotta are very good too.

Excellent food, gracious and friendly service tucked away in a tiny place in Plimmerton. We've been there several times and the Polish home cooking is consistently great. They also match each making with one of a wide range of Polish vodkas. Well worth a trip up the coast or simply turning off the highway. Absolutely awesome. Sooo recommend it. The food was the best I've tasted in a long time. Polish cuisine on offer which we did have but also a duck & a fillet steak both mouth watering in every bite. The entree was for the 4 of us an antipasto which was fir two but all 4 of us had plenty. The desserts equally amazing. The hosts of this restaurant were wonderful the ambiance lovely. We came from Ngaio so a bit of a drive but our special occasion it was well worth the drive. No excuses go try it for yourselves. 😃

I had dinner at Topo for the first time tonight and read the good reviews prior to it. I called the restaurant to book a table and the owner was friendly and welcoming on the phone and in person. The service was very professional and friendly. The food was outstanding, high quality and very tasty. I also liked the wide selection of polish vodka. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definetely go back to try some of the other dishes.

Love everything about Topor..food is just fabulous. I had the duck and my husband had the steak..both beautifully cooked. The beetroot is fantastic! Our friends had the special meat dish and the chicken...happy diners 😁We had the dessert medley which was fantastic, my favorite was the chocolate bomb..OMG delish!!! Not our first visit and won't be our last. Well done Topor.

My daughter booked us in for a dinner here and hoped it would be good as it was a longer drive than what we would normally have done to go out to dinner. It was SO worth it!....the service was great as soon as we walked in the door ..made to feel welcome..started with a cold cucumber beetroot and yoghurt soup which as the evening was hit thus eas so so refreshing and set you up for the main...had the special of chicken stuffed with bacon basil and parmesan oh so good. The duck (so my daughter says) was awesome which must have been true as she wouldn't share. The desert and flavoured vodkas oh yes you must try the salted caramel vodka so thick and syrupy I was in heaven. Got to talk later to the owners / chef and just a great couple. We will definetly be back.

Amazing place! The staff, the food....to die for. Not a cheap date but for a special occasion it's fab. I had the venison and it was amazing. So tender! The salad with or was prefect. I'm not a huge eater and the portion on my plate was Plenty! No room for the gorgeous looking desserts menu unfortunately. But not too much food so I lefy bloated. My husband and I went to the Polish Restaurant for my belated birthday dinner last night on 9 October 2020, it was a lovely experience,, the food was to die for, even though a little expensive, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for. My husband had an entree of salmon and I had perogi, we then had Paprika beef for hubby and I had Pork Golabki, and finished with sernikfor me Polish cheesecake and hubby had poppy seed torte. This was washed down with a Polish Vodka and Beer. I highly recommend this restaurant as the food was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful, we will certainly be back., with family in tow. Than k you Polish Topor for a wonderful experience.

I frequently drop in to Topor. As a Bistro it is superb. Great Polish meals with terrific vodka matches for almost every dish. An awesome range of vodkas available. Food for every palate. The Chef develops wonderful twists to traditional dishes. Her wild meat dishes are purely superb.The venison Noises are to die for. Her wild Boar is the BEST I have ever eaten, bar none. Wonderful service, GOOD and obliging staff, GREAT Hosts. As a Bar it is a great drop-in point. Welcoming, personal service. Good opening hours! ps. I don't own the place!!!

Took almost an hour to get food once ordered but when it did arrive it was by far the best Polish experience you could have. Very small intimate seating location. No good for small kids. Some outdoor seating available. Not cheap, but excellent quality.

I was excited to go to this restaurant for my birthday dinner last night.I had heard about the amazing food and service and it was all true.The homemade Polish food was amazing,the staff were friendly and our waitress provided excellent service.I ordered the Pierogi as my main which was devine. This was my favourite dish while visiting Poland and Topor's recipe was amazing,tasty,homemade and very filling. The staff went out of their way to make me feel special by singinghappy birthday totand me and presenting me with a candle on my dessert which was a wonderful end to the evening. We went to Topor for Father's Day with our 7 month old. Staff were welcoming and brought us a sturdy lobster seat for our wee one. I had the Reuben sandwich, and it had very tasty sides. My partner had the burger they created for Wellington On A Plate. It was really yummy. They also make great coffee. We'll definitely go back again.
