Ma Bakers doesn't look much but it's clean and the pies ... "the steak and pepper " has lage chunks of lean tender meat. no fillers !!! good pastry. Very filling the best steak pie I've ever eaten. Food simple no hallal here but what they make is fresh. Parking outside easy access ! table and chairs outside . bin on rd for yr paper bags. Friendly staff. I see they've won awards for their pies.

Ma bakers is one of only two bakeries that I frequent in Putaruru. Their pies taste as kiwi pies should, they not have that sickly sweet taste that most Asian owned bakeries do. The fish and mussels are nice (not sure if it's fresh daily or not but it's still nice. Fish in a bun seems popular. Parking on the street can be problematic at Times when truckers have stopped in. Staff are polite and friendly. Coffee's not bad either.
