We enjoyed the "Trust the Chef" experience. We had no idea what to expect for our 3 course meal and we were pleasantly surprised. Great food, great vibe and great service!

Lovely restaurant, great vibe with perfect music to add to the atmosphere. Very impressed and well looked after by our beautiful waitress Emma. She was so warm and friendly from beginning to end. Nothing was a problem, she came across as so genuine and a lovely person. The food was delicious. We had garlic bread, dough balls, carbonara and another pasta dish. All the food was beautiful and I highly recommend this restaurant. 😋

Firstly can i say, the staff here are AMAZING. we are a family of 6 (3 kids and a toddler) and the staff were patient, funny and interactive with our kids. Also very knowledgeable with food/wine pairing. The tables were a wee bit too close for my liking (covid times) but other than that, the food was fresh, seasoned amazing and well priced. Highly recommend this little restaurant

We have a lovely meal at Bella Cucina whenever we’re in Queenstown. The pasta is is delicious. I love the spaghetti with you live oil, chilli and Parmesan cheese. Perfect! My husband had the bolagaise it too was delicious. We had some lovely Italian wine 🍷 and Ana sidewalk table. Highly recommend.

Every time I visit Queenstown I make dining at Bella Cucina an essential part of my holiday experience. This no fuss, extremely efficient and accommodating restaurant always produces delicious food. With seasonal menu changes using quality produce, I am never disappointed. Great cosy restaurant atmosphere too - like dining used to be.

Absolutely AMAZING! I love that the menu changes each day and show cases a beautiful selection of local seasonal ingredients. Each meal really highlights the simple flavors of fresh produce, herbs and hand made pasta and dough. This is exceptional quality food, made with love and an authentic Italian touch. I don't normally drink wine with dinner but the selection of wines are a perfect accompaniment to the menu and the staff are helpful when it comes to choosing something if you're not sure. For me, the best part is that you won't get the same meal twice with the menu changing so often so it is a restaurant you can be pleasantly surprised by time and time again.

The meal was average. They were already out of dough balls before 8pm, which is one of their specialities. Considering the portion, the gnocchi was ridiculously overpriced and the team had to be reminded for the candle and wine twice. The garlic bread was good and so was my partner’s wine (when it finally arrived).

Wonderful food, a lovely atmosphere and great service from Kellie. Enjoyed it so much the first visit that I went back on my birthday.

we had a good experience at Bella Cucina. ++ Staff very friendly and the service was pretty fast We had some fish and it was perfectly cook and we loved the dessert . We had tiramisu and panacotta. - we took the option trust the chef and you get 2 starter 2 mains and 2 dessert to share. A little bit disappointed by the second starter. It was just a bowl of olives. And for the pasta Bolognese the meat was a bit dry. The rest of our menu was very good and we really enjoyed our time there.

We came here with a toddler in a stroller and despite being a relatively small restaurant, the staff went out of their way to accommodate, providing a spot for the stroller. The friendly staff was knowledgable and the food delicious. We enjoyed the cosy atmosphere and will gladly come back next time we're in Queenstown.

I was lucky to get to travel Italy before COVID hit and I can happily say that the food here transported me back (didn’t even need to quarantine on the way back). The vibe is amazing as you walk past the wood fired pizza oven on the way in with Italian tunes kissing the walls creating the perfect ambiance. The fact their menu changes daily depending on the produce available shows they do not skimp on quality. I had the dough balls which were something I haven’t seen in an Italian restaurant before but it SHOULD be a staple. Talking of staples, I went for the fettuccine carbonara (excuse my sacrilege with the chili flakes) and wowee, talk about a humdinger. The waitress was spectacular which really just rounded off the perfect dining experience. This place is a MUST if you are in QT

Some of the best Italian food you will eat. The pasta with clams (pasta vongole) was amazing as was the carbonara and carpaccio . Great service and really generous portions as well as an authentic atmosphere! All the meats are cured in house and the chefs change the menu up each day to keep things interesting. Definitely coming back 😊

Asked the stuff of our hotel about where to eat in Queenstown and he highly recommended this place and its pizza. Everything we ordered was absolutely amazing and couldn't be better 'cause it's already perfect!! Probably because we drove a long way here and was cold and hungry. But a delicious homemade pizza and paste are just the right choice to boost things up. Especially they make the things all fresh and special which the menue changes often. Great food, good environment and nice service.

Came here on our last night in Queenstown for our Honeymoon trip as I love pasta and wanted to save the best for last! Everything is made on the spot, food was so delicious but the best part as well was the service! From the first moment we sat down our waitress made us feel so welcome and was so easy to talk with! We appreciate it and I was soo happy this was the last dinner we had here as it was the best honestly, no photos because we just smashed the food it was so great! Cannot wait to come back ! 🥰🥰

I spent a long time plannning our honeymoon and decided on Bella Cucina to be our first dinning experience in Queenstown. It was the best choice. Amazingly authentic Italian food of the highest quality and fantastic service. Thank you for helping me make an impression on my wife from our first meal and see you in 2021.

The fettuccine carbonara here was incredible - fresh and tasty - and the service was top notch, particularly from their waitress Kellie who was serving me! Already planning to go back again on my next trip

Taste is definitely there, and pizza was done well albeit it came out a little colder. Gentleman manning the counter was a class act, attentive and made sure the guests were taken care of. Was told the pasta menu changes daily so this is probably another reason to check it out yourself. My fav would be the garlic dough bun if you have to order an appetizer to start off with.

Very good Italian food and the staff were super friends and attentive. Ended up getting the carbonara which was gorgeous, the garlic bread pizza that we got as a side was also gorgeous but my god did it fill you up! Would definitely come back here again when I'm in the mood for Italian (would love to try their pizzas which looks amazing!)

Dinner here was just perfect. It felt like I was in Italy again eating proper food. It was all so simple yet everything was so flavoursome and delicious. I wish I could have eaten more. I had four dishes and they were one better than the other. The wine was also great. Service was impeccable. The carpaccio was exactly how I remembered it to be when I was a child. The caprese had juicy tomatoes and creamy mozzarella. The pizza was thin but not too crispy and you could taste the proper mozzarella and not cheese in it. The gnocchi melted in my mouth. Pinot grigio was refreshing and valpolicella bold and deep. The waiter was lovely and provided amazing service recommending the best dishes as well. I would go again and again to this place. So highly recommended.

This place was recommended by our driver who took us to our hotel. We ordered the shrimp risotto and seafood pasta. The portion was not large, but we weren’t especially hungry either. The risotto was slightly under seasoned for my taste, and only had one and a half shrimps, but the seafood pasta was really good and with lots of seafood in it. Service was great!

The most authentic freshly made gnocchi, ricotta and walnut with lemon oil. I was taken to Fiorenz! My husband had hand made spaghetti and it was the best ever. Quite memorable to be honest. Again made on site. Would recommend you try it. We will be back.

Some nice flavours well presented. It's an odd cross of striving for high end, (portion and presentation) while maybe being a little more of a local Italian place. I'm not local so cant say if there are other better options.

Small. Quaint. Unpretentious. Just delicious homely italian food done well. "Eat simple. Eat well" absolutely true of this place. Great friendly fast service too. Yummy carbonara served at the table with an egg yolk that you mix up in to a delicious thick rich creamy sauce. Highly recommended.

My husband, toddler and I didn't make a reservation, but were still warmly welcomed and accommodated for. Our waiter (whom we didn't catch his name, but we think he is from Liverpool) was very lovely and attentive. We ordered some entrees, wine and mains which were all delicious. It was such a nice surprise to find an authentic Italian restaurant nestled in the bustling tourist district of Queenstown. We only managed to take photos of the entrees before getting distracted by our toddler and then the delicious mains that followed.

Excellent meal and service. Had "trust the chefs" option. What a great choice, would never have chosen these dishes and they were excellent. This "real" Italian restaurant is a "not to miss" experience when visiting Queenstown. Thank you.

Went for dinner on valentines day with my girlfriend. Restaurant was super busy but all staff extremely friendly and the food was superb. Pizza is to die for.

As soon as you step into Bella cucina it gives you the vibes of a little family restaurant back in Italy. With authentic pizza, homemade pastas, bread baked in the wood fire oven... It also taste delightful and they change their menu everyday as they follow closely the season and what the local suppliers have on market. Bela cucina = fresh, delightful, friendly and cozy !

My wife loves Italian food & we ate here a few weeks ago during our honeymoon. It was by far our favourite dining experience in Queenstown! Such a cool concept having a slightly different menu every day & seeing the date at the top of it. Your French waitress made us feel very welcome, commenting on my wife's smile, & gave us a bit of history about the restaurant. She is clearly very passionate about what she does & is a great asset to your business. Food was authentic & of the highest quality. Highly recommend the dough balls as a starter. My wife & I both had pasta & it was fresh, flavoursome & delicious. All the meals that came out around us looked wonderful, too. Couldn't recommend Bella Cucina more.

We have been many times to Bella Cucina. It is one of our favourite Queenstown eateries. Everything is delicious and the service is faultless. Suitable to a quiet romantic evening or also child friendly. The kids meals are great child options (food choices kids actually like) and only $13. They offer crayons and a colouring sheet for children too. We recommend to all.

Amazing food that left us in a daze. Our server Kellie was awesome and had great suggestions. Leaving the restaurant proved challenging however as we both left significantly wider than when we came in and the narrow door proved to be an obstacle albeit a mark of a first class meal!!!!

We booked here for our wedding anniversary and the Bella Cucina staff went out of their way to make it special, bubbles included! The food is perfectly prepared, so fresh and delicious and there is a great selection of wines!! We will absolutely be back again and again ✨

Beef cheeks were extremely good. Nice place but still child friendly when we came (around 6pm). Staff all great. Only criticism is some portion sizes we're a little small, but that's possibly because it tasted so good we wanted more.

If you're looking for genuine, delightful Italian go to Bella Cucina, we LOVED it! The lamb parpadelle, garlic pizza and beef carpaccio were incredible. So delicate, flavourful + delicious. Had a wonderful waitress look after us (thanks Kellie) great recommendations, including the wine.

Best food we have had to-date in Queenstown. The atmosphere was good and it was so cosy inside, Mike did a great job serving us and the food was delicious. Only criticism would be that the food came out really fast, we would have liked the food to come out a bit more spaced out.

My Wife and I had a great dining experience at Bella Cucina! We had the Margarita Pizza and Sautéed gnocchi which were both great! The gnocchi was definitely the highlight! the mushroom sauce with gorgonzola was perfect! our service by Kellie was as good as the food! 5 star! she made you feel comfortable and was able to provide insight into the wine list and menu which was appreciated. Would recommend and dine again.

Been living in Queenstown quite a while and finally got myself to Bella Cucina after a lot of recommendations. The food was fab and met my expectations but I have to say it was the service that takes this restaurant to new heights! Our waitress was Kellie and she was honestly just the best!!!!!! My fiancé is very picky and tends to make changes to the menu. This was absolutely no bother for Kellie who basically bent over backwards to make sure our needs were met! - She was actually also just wicked to chat too - she generally just made our experience really enjoyable! 5*** STAR SERVICE!

Intimate little Italian restaurant. Decided to come here last minute with some friends and was blown away by how lovely the atmosphere is. The food had plenty of flavour and our server Wies was very good at pairing wines with our dishes. Highly reccomend visiting if you're in queenstown.

My husband and I came for the first anniversary of our wedding in Italy. They surprised us with a glass of bubbles to celebrate which was so lovely and then followed some of the best Italian food we’ve ever had. We ordered the bruschetta which was incredible and then the fettuccine carbonara was hands down the best pasta I’ve ever had. It’s a small restaurant but perfectly Italian and such great service. Came here on the last night of a 4 night stint in Queenstown and regret it. Should have come here from day one. Food in Qtown can be a bit overpriced and boring, but this place is well priced and the food is well crafted. They apparatly change their menu every few days, so you know they gotta be using fresh ingredients and real chefs. Pizza was fantastic, pasta was rich and the mushroom bruchetta and balsamic brussel sprout entree / sides were good enough to be mains. Service was great too by the way, attentive but not overly so. Cheers guys! Great job.

Four of us went for dinner there on Sunday night, I had the seafood pasta, my boyfriend had the carbonara and our other two friends had the lasagne. Everything was delicious! Very generous portions, and everything was really tasty :) The service was amazing! Our lovely waitress hear me say that my bf and I just got engaged so she gave us a glass of bubbles on the house which was really sweet :) We would highly recommend

OMG… amazing food, incredible waitress Kellie, wonderful authentic atmosphere. Dinner for my 50th and worth every cent hence a $20 tip. Literally the best spaghetti bolognese I have ever had in my life. Tiny restaurant, very lovely atmosphere, didn’t feel weird at all to sit by myself with a book and inhale my amazing pasta. Can’t wait to go back.

We dined here over the weekend and truly enjoyed our experience. Prompt service with a smile and when I booked on line via their web site their automated systems communicated promptly. They even accommodated our earlier change of the booking. I filled in the online booking form saying it was a special occasion and we were pleasantly surprised they took this information on board and presented us a complimentary dessert, which was utterly devine. The restaurant's vibe, simple Italian flavours and service have not changed in 20yrs. A mark an exceptional restaurant that can still pull the punters. I would not hesitate in recommending or going back to this restaurant.

Authentic Italian at its best . This small restaurant makes you feel as if you’re at home having a meal with Mama. The food is rustic and delicious. The menu has something for everybody . We shared delicious dough balls to start . Both had different lamb dishes . One pasta based the other with polenta . Both so so good . A very nice rose’ . Finished with tiramisu . This restaurant is well worth visiting . Thank you Laurie for making our night. I would recommend this as a must try while in Queenstown .

Absolutely gorgeous little Italian restaurant. We sat outside on a beautiful warm evening and had views of the mountains. Service and food was first class and atmosphere was excellent. I would recommend this place to everyone but would be a good idea to book as it’s very popular

Had a really lovely meal here. Simple restaurant that is slightly tucked away. Great, great service by our waitress, Laurie. Had the dough balls, which were fantastic. They were these warm Italian dinner rolls served with garlic oil and fig with balsamic reduction -- delicious! Bruschetta and grilled squid were very good too. Carbonara was done the classic way -- with egg and parmesan cheese. Nice to find authentic Italian where it can be hard to separate what is good and what can just be tourist trap. Great value for money too! Definitely recommend!

Booked a table for my birthday - looking for good Italian food and found it. Started with Chargrilled Squid which was tasty with a decent chilli hit (too hot for my companion's taste but it was my dish!). She ordered the Garlic Pizza bread - when it came out (full pizza size) we thought we would be talking it home but it miraculously disappeared very quickly down our gullets. Very tasty and not nearly as filling as it looked (a good thing). My companion had the Pappardelle Frutti di Mare - good mixture of seafood, good pasta, a little more chilli than she had expected (never think of Italian food being very hot). I had the Prosciutto Risotto. It would be nice to get Risotto made from scratch but have given up hope of finding it anywhere. That said, it was pretty good but not outstanding. We then had a complementary tiramisu with a candle for my birthday - very thoughtful and tasty. The star of the night, though, was the pannacotta. We have eaten and made many pannacotti but this was one of the best ever - creamy but firm, tasty but unctuous - wow. Staff were friendly and efficient, never seemed rushed, strong vibe of "everything under control". Recommended.

My first visit to Queenstown and obviously Bella Cucina, I read a few reviews before I booked so had high hopes! It was a Saturday night and the place was pumping! Not an empty seat within sight, so glad we booked. It seems to be run by a small team of 5 (not 5 million this time) 2 front of house and 3 in kitchen area. Staff were happy, very approachable, knowledgeable re the menu and the wine. Food was awesome, This is a gem tucked away and when we return to Queenstown we will be back to Bella Cucina.

Can’t fault anything. The pizzas are amazing. Freshly made pasta. We had a good selection to share and everything was delicious. I dare you to order the calzone and a magnum. Exceptional service and we all left in agony. Managed to share a tiramisu in the end and it was so worth it.

This was a dining experience that I had been looking forward to, my wife and I had a wonderful meal served by staff that were pleasant and friendly. I have eaten at many restaurants where the serving staff are efficient but at Bella Cucina they were able to make you feel that they are there solely to serve you. The dining was fantastic, thank you and look forward to returning.

Came recommended from a friend and we weren't disappointed. Meals were delivered quickly to our table but definitely not with that 'fast food' prepared bland taste. Very friendly welcome and service throughout. Just felt a bit pushed on space (couldn't actually get my chair back without moving the table 1st without distributing dinners on the next table) but not a big premises to start with in the first place.

My wife and I had the privilege of dining at Bella Cucina during our recent Queenstown weekend stay. Having a changing daily menu is a bonus most restaurants cannot provide. We are big fans of a good beef carpaccio and theirs did not disappoint. We also opted for the Lamb Ragù Pappardelle which was again top quality. Topped the evening off with a tasty panna cotta. Attentive and helpful staff from NZ and Europe will help to make your meal an experience. We will return for sure.

Phenomenal. I had forgotten food could taste this good! Best Italian food we've had since Italy. I had the Calzone and my partner had the Carbonara, both absolutely mouth-watering. The service we received was extremely professional and brilliant. We are disappointed that we only discovered this place on our last night in Queenstown. We will be back one day! EDIT: We were lucky to find a table as walk-ins, the people behind us got turned away because the place was full. I would recommend making a reservation instead of risking it!

4 of us enjoyed a fabulous night at Bella cucina. We visit Queenstown quite a lot. This is our 4th visit this year. We have never been here before. It was busy so lots of atmosphere. We’ve certainly been missing out on a true Italian gem. The food was amazing. One of our party had the carpaccio. Gorgeous!!! Amongst us we had gnocchi, the squid & desserts including tiramisu. Bella Cucina claims to be Queenstown’s finest Italian restaurant. Have never eaten Italian yet n Queenstown before but I couldn’t fault the claim so far. The staff were wonderfully friendly and the service was great. Food amazing. Can’t fault.

We were greeted by friendly staff who went above and beyond, including complimentary bubbles on arrival to recognise our recently postponed wedding, lovely atmosphere and amazing, authentic Italian food. My husband Nick and I decided after much deliberation to spend our very treasured 30th Wedding Anniversary dinner with the team at Bella Cucina. Thank goodness we did. From the get go we knew memories were to be made and as soon as we met our incredible hostess we sealed the deal!! At her advice we went to the Chefs Choice and by crikeys what choices they were !! A three course meal each including a stunning salad to accompany our choices was phenomenal. Do we recommend Bella Cucina special? One word only....Yes 👍 .

Really nice service, excellent food (the pizza was delicious, one of the best I had in NZ!). Unfortunately, they cook their carbonara with cream, which breaks my heart a little, however the changing menu, keeps it fresh and still one of my favourite italian places in NZ.

This was, without a doubt, the best place we ate at while traveling across New Zealand. The gnocchi were light and fluffy. The homemade pasta just the right texture. The service was warm and friendly even though we came in quite late (sorry!). Had we not had to leave the next morning, we would have been back to try more of the menu.

After months in New Zealand we were missing a really good italian pizza, in a country full of Asian food, pizza is missing. We were in Queenstown and saw this restaurant, we didn't hesitate to taste it. It was just perfect, best pizza in NZ for a while! The service is excellent, they are taking care of you. We had an italian friendly waiter. Better to book a table in advance.

I love all the food I order especially the Lamb Ragu pasta. The pizza is as original as Italian thin crust, & you can also do half & half toppings, which is great as long as they have the same base sauce. The menu is changed daily, so if you plan to go twice during your stay, they will not serve the same food. The tiramisu is a must! The young host is very knowledgeable and very attentive, he knows every single dish despite being changed daily. We’d love to return again when we visit Queenstown.

We went as a family on our last night in town after doing the Routeburn track. Great place and fantastic service, food felt very authentic which is something I really appreciate from Italian restaurants outside Italy... pure e squisito. Can’t remember the name of the French lady that look after us, she was great. Totally recommend place.

Before we ended another amazing holiday with all the memorable activities and of course the good food yes, and you Bella Cucina topped it all with a beautiful dinner last night. Wow you guys are the best. The food was amazing and the service was 10/10. Hat off to the Head Chef Regi and her wonderful kitchen team Mateo n Val and the outstanding service on the floor by this lovely lady Jenna. We also talked to the happy customers that was next to us about the pizza that they had and they said that that was the best pizza they ever had for a long time. Well done. For me this restaurant has been so far the most authentic Italian restaurant I've been to in New Zealand. As expected, the food is simple yet delicious. All the pasta is fresh made at the restaurant. The pizza is firewood oven baked. You can taste the great quality of the ingredients they use for the sauces. Something I appreciate is that the serving size is perfect, not just a "free sample" like in some fine dining restaurants. They have a nice selection of wines as well. Last but not least, their staff offers great customer service.

Good food with nice atmosphere. We had the margarita pizza and lamb shanks. Both very delicious with great serving sizes. We were starving after a long day of driving so we quickly polished the dishes off. When the waitress came she said “wow you enjoyed the food, do you want to lick the plates?”. I am sure she meant it as a joke but it could be misunderstood by people and perceived to be rude. That aside, the tiramisu for desert was also delicious. All food plus two beers came to a total of $90 which we thought was a little expensive. But I’d still recommend coming here.

The food and service were both so good, I added a tip. Not bad for a Kiwi! BTW, Queenstown is fabulous at present, this is a great time for Kiwis to visit.

The Food was of a very high standard, fresh, tasty and prepared from scratch on the premises. The Staff were Attentive, helpful & Courteous. The Woodfire pumped out a lot of Heat which was uncomfortable for some of our guests as the restaurant is quiet small

True Italian hearty food! Fast order and great meal deal between 5-6 with a drink and pizza/pasta. The margarita and bolognese were both fantastic, great side salads too! Oh and the open strudel if you can fit it in 🍴

The food was good, and on the pricey side. The hostess must have been having a bad day as she was quite abrupt. Our server was adequite but not engaging. We are from the US, but not "touristy" by any means, as we travel extensively, and dine frequetly. I have the feeling that the restaurant staff did not like tourists, which is odd given that tourism is a large part of the local economy

Cute little place in the heart of Queenstown. The service was great and atmosphere was nice but it is definitely a cosy restaurant. I had the prawn risotto and absolutely loved it, hubby had the gnocchi and liked it but the portion size was too small for him. Tiramisu was absolutely devine. Bit of a cheek having to pay for water for the table, but we didn't ask if this would cost either. The only reason I give it a 4 star is because we felt we were getting rushed out as soon as we had our dessert and it hadn't even been an hour since we sat down for our meals!

A very nice Tiramisu! They had Prosecco on the menu, which I ordered and then the lady came back to tell me they no longer had it so that was a little disappointing! Also ask to be sat at the front of the restaurant as its very crowded at the back.

Pricey for the serving size. Cream base pizza was skimpy on toppings and a bit bland.

The ambiance was wonderful, staff were friendly, and food was delicious! It's a cozy little restaurant so if you have a group be sure to book ahead. We had a comfortable table for 6, but more than that could be tricky. In any case I definitely recommend it!

I loved everything about this place! Great Food ! Amazing staff who gave us good recommendation on where to go out for a few drinks after dinner aswell! Shoutout to the full time Legend Lauren! Will definitely visit again next time I am in town !

Friendly staff, vry nice ambience n excellent service. I ordered seafood spagetti it was horrible. I like italian food bt this was not at all eatable. So i tot of just paying fr it bt when the staff found out tat i didn't like my food they didn't charge me for it. Fr that I'd giv them three stars. I saw ppl enjoying pizzas so shud hav probably chose tat. Can't judge a place wit just one dish.

The Fettucine Carbonara is delicious! It is a must if you get the opportunity to go there. The menu changes daily which makes it interesting. I would recommend getting an early reservation because they can run out of certain dishes.

Delicious pasta, made fresh in-house. Constantly changing menu, based on seasonal produce provides variety.

Loved this place!!!! Took me right back to Italy. Small family style and they make carbonara the way it is supposed to be, fresh homemade noodles with egg yolk. Don't skip this one.

Loved this place. You can walk from any location on Queenstown. Taxi stand at the door. All menu items made on the premises. The fig oil is to die for.

Found this to be quite expensive. Ordered risotto at 32 dollars and it was okay though not great. No kids menu. My 11 year old has pizza that was delicious though again expensive.

The bread platter was really great but the pasta so so. Service was good though the wait time is longer than usual as they have a new menu everyday and the cooks makes the dish fresh.

I really like the place. I've been there a few times its always good food in a cheerful & chaotic atmosphere. Good prices for Queenstown, those complaining about the price clearly don't dine around ZQN much.
