Y.It's the second time we had dinner here. The food are absolutely delicious and well presented. Service was fantastic, Inca, the waitress for our table tonight, she is so helpful and let us feel so welcomed. Would definitely recommend to more friends and come back again!
P.The food produced at this restaurant is nothing short of superb. Such dishes as their Seafood Chowder or Wakami Sirloin are sure to please. Why not try the Venison Capaccio, Fish Cerviche or the Chicken Breast. You won't be sorry. Finish off with a Creme Brulee and wash your meal down with one of their superb wines. A meal fit for a King ( or Queen ).

B.Been here first time and love every bit of it. I tried their sirloin steak and seared scallops - they were on point! Great customer service too not to mention the lakeside view.
S.Boardwalk is a nice looking and clean place. The steak was my main and delicious. The scallops we had as a stater were to salty but cooked well. The crab bao bun was superb. The service was mediocre but it may have been because the waiter was new and still learning.
A.Had fettuccine and fish curry. Was definitely an Asian fusion kind of cuisine that tasted good. Will go again.
A.The staff were absolutely lovely. It was our wedding anniversary, and they gave us a table with an amazing view and kept congratulating us on the anniversary, which made the evening very special. The drinks and food were divine. Will definitely come back here.

O.First thing that came to mind was impeccable service from the waiting staff ….
Maitre d could have been a little friendlier but in all fairness she was very accommodating in helping us get a great table which was a vast improvement from the high chair set up near the entrance we were originally placed at …great cocktail bar with delightfully helpful staff …
Diverse menu and steaks cooked as ordered ….
My choice wasn’t the most tender I have had but the accompanying jus and side orders complemented my meal perfectly …
Awesome deserts and imaginative desert cocktails …

L.Popped in for the Valentines dinner and I was not disappointed! The menu was well thought out and perfectly executed. Service was world class with every attention to detail as far as the optimal dining experience was there. I hands down recommend this place if you're looking for a great place for a good feed or taking a special someone out for a meal.

Where it is located upstairs with that remarkable view, to the friendly funny wait staff, drinks and the food is superb. This restaurant rivals our Auckland top favourite it’s that good. Lucky find last night so going back again tonight for my birthday!
My choices were the scallops, lamb duo, apple tart and my partner had the chowder, whole sole, crème brûlée… stunning 🤩

The view is also stunning but i think it's a bit expensive giving the fact that the portions are somewhat small. We had the burger, market fish, chips and mashed potatoes. Everything was amazing. We chose to have a drink instead of having a classic dessert. We went for the Banoffee Pie, delicious! We spent a total of 105 dollars

K.Delicious food in a gorgeous setting. You look straight out over the lake. The food is amazing. The fixed price 2- or 3-course menu is one of the best values in Queenstown. Even better for us - their kids' menu. My children (ages 6 to 11) were so sick of the standard "chicken nuggets and chips" that they started begging for veggies! Boardwalk offers grilled steak, chicken, or fish - all of which were done beautifully and served with REAL veggies and yummy mashed potatoes. Staff were extremely hospitable and food was among the best we had on our whole trip.

P.It's rare that I give a review while still at the place, but Boardwalk is the exception. Cannot fault the staff, food, or drinks one bit. We came here on a whim and it was the best thing we've done! Finished the scallops and mussels in record time because they were fantastic, and a perfect portion size. The chicken breast was to die for, and the lamb shank my partner ordered looked incredible but was so good that he didn't give me a bite, haha! A lot of love and skill in these meals and I'd tell anyone in Queenstown to try this place out and be surprised by the quality. Blankets and heaters outside were a huge plus. Amazing!
K.The food here is absolutely amazing. We had the Cod fish and chips delicious. The chicken was full of flavor and the pickled grapes were amazing. The scallops were delicious. The ceviche fantastic, the eye fillet the best in Queenstown. The service the best we've had in Town. Olivia was friendly, helpful and attentive and I am upset we haven't been here before but we will definitely be back everytime we are in Queenstown. THANKYOU

The lady at the bar was more interested in talking to the boy than serving us. Eventually we got her attention and were served some wine.
Dinner service was quite poor too. We had a long waiting time between entree and main meal. Our glasses were empty and no staff came close to us to offer more wine. We ordered a second glass of wine when the main was served but received it after we finished meal, a bit too late. Also, the waitress didn't ask what wine we want but instead brought the same wine. Didn't go for dessert.
Maybe not enough staff there or one of those bad nights but it definitely affected our dining experience.
C.Impeccable service and delicious food! We did the $45 for 2 courses deal they have at the moment and it was amazing value. I also had the Boardwalk 75 cocktail and it was the most delicious drink. Best meal I’ve had in a long time with an incredible outlook - will definitely be back on my next trip to Queenstown.

My partner and I had a beautiful evening at boardwalk on the last night of our NZ road trip.
The food, atmosphere, decor and service was perfect.
Katie was the loveliest and was always sure to check up on us and see how we were doing. Her knowledge of the menu and specials also did not go unnoticed.
I’ll also say that, when we tried to book online it said nothing was available but when we called we were able to get a table at our requested time. So perhaps keep in mind when trying to book.
A.My sister and I decided to go to Boardwalk for dinner while we were on a girls weekend in Queenstown after hearing excellent things and it did not disappoint! Fabulous food, wonderful service, and perfect location (not to mention our new favourite cocktail, the Boardwalk 75!) I definitely recommend it as a superb place for drinks and dinner in Queenstown. Can’t wait to come back!!
A.Me and my sister took our mum here for her birthday and had the 10 dollars cocktails at the bar when we waited for our reservation, no problem with any of that.
How ever I wanted to treat my sister to a second cocktail as a thank you to her for all she's done, I wanted something different to her.
By the time we want a second drink we had been seated and I got up to go order her and I a drink each, was given a list of the same drinks that where either twice the price or more.
only to be told that I had to order the exact same drink as my sister for them to give us a 10 dollar cocktail each. (Rather then pay 20-22 dollars and have them walk for 25 seconds)
I found this rather ridiculous as I walked over to bar and asked for a cocktail, because of this you missed out on an extra 20 or even 40 dollars on top of out 151 dollar check.
Was told they were busy but my sister spotted staff standing and talking, from what I saw there were 5 or 7 other people already with their drinks.
Nothing against staff having a chitchat as long as they attend to customers and their jobs when finished/caught up.
(No idea if you have a 1 10 dollar cocktail limit or not)
the stake was nice but i the plate was missing something, our opinion is that a small salad and a little less chips would with the stake and chips would have gone a long way.
Was tasty and cooked well but I do sadly think it was a bit over priced.
My mum's blue cod and chips were nice enough but for the price expected more.
I had my first cremé brulee here and my sister said it's one of the best she's had, I'm happy to say I had my first one here and I happy with it.
They are not what I expected them to be like but I enjoyed my dessert well.
The service was good and they were friendly, always made sure out water glasses were full
(but not our 10 dollar cocktail glasses. 🤣)

Please don't let this discourage any staff, I would just like a proper explanation as to why:
"I was not allowed to order a Pina colada and margarita again for the 10 dollar cocktail price when I went to the bar and placed an order myself." ❓❓❓❓❓
B.The food could’ve been better. I ordered the fettuccine and it was more like a chilli Pad Thai. It was still delicious but unfortunately we had such a long wait time to get the food to our table that my meal was cold when they brought it over.
I would recommend getting the Pina Colada’s (delish) but be warned that the $10 price when you order from the bar doesn’t count for when you enter the restaurant. We were told if we ordered drinks while we were eating we’d need to pay $22 for it.
Had a few mistakes in the main meals, but the waitress was friendly and they discounted the incorrect dishes.
E.One of the best dinners we had in Queenstown! Very romantic setting overlooking the wharf. Scallops were so delicious and perfectly cooked, which can sometimes be hit and miss with scallops. My partners fillet steak was perfect too. The waitress was very friendly and attentive.
E.We booked a large group of 16 adults and spent a lot of money on rounds of drinks and dining so I wasn’t pleased when the manager was inconvenienced about us bringing a cake and then expected a $50 charge just to have a small cake at the restaurant. Considering the amount of money we spent I was disappointed in the attitude. Food was great otherwise.
I.Had Christmas dinner here. Having lived in Wellington and San Francisco, the waterfront view comes secondary to the flavors of food.
Firstly, our waitress was really lovely. Very pleasant. And if it was her being rated, I'd give her five stars. She was a young lady from France who made our experience one you'd hope for on Christmas night.
Food was just okay.
The seafood chowder didn't have much seafood at all. My ten-year old was given cheese and crackers with some carrots and cucumber that looked like they were cut up hours ago.
My daughter's beef medallion was served with mashed potatoes and gravy, all of which were served cooler than what you'd expect when you are paying top dollars for Christmas dinner. The beef Wellington that my husband and I had reminded me of beef pie that I got from our local pie shop. Although tasty, again, you would expect something a bit more special for the price you are paying. And of course there was still a 15% surcharge on top of that.
My Panna Cotta was more special. I chose well. My daughter was happy with her warm brownie. My husband's Christmas pudding was a bit dry and lacking in flavor.
I am happy to pay top dollars if quality justifies.
I just hope the staff got paid well for the great service we had that night.
A.The staff wasn’t very helpful at least with us. Fine dinner place, very well presented. I liked most of what we tried, my partner didn’t love it.
J.We got the 3 course set menu for $55 pp, for the money we spent we definitely for good value for money! We had great views, beautiful food, friendly staff, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. From our choice of rosé to the menu itself, staff were knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had. The food was delicious. I thoroughly recommend the octopus to start! Slow cooked and so tender.
It was great to have the open plan aspect of the kitchen. Fantastic to see the Chefs hard at work. Good work guys. I would highly recommend Boardwalk.

M.We have been touring New Zealand for three weeks and have found the food to be a little to heavy with lots of breaded or deep fried items. Boardwalk has good clean food and the service was great. The poached blue cod was amazing.

N.We enjoyed a beautiful Xmas lunch yesterday ,reminiscent of the one we enjoyed years ago and the reason we returned. I booked months ago as soon as it was advertised and had contact with Boardwalk in the lead up, but not once was there ever a mention of the surcharge ,at $125 per head I naturally assumed it was included. The young lady cashier told me it was on the menu ,c,mon Boardwalk at $ 84.65 added to the account it took lunch to $504 for 3 people ,make sure people know prior and tell them they are paying for sparkly water @$10 a bottle. I live in Central so I know .

S.Food were extremely 😋 delicious, both top quality foods and waiter' service, however my wife and I were a little disappointed with the manager who didn't understand us and kind of discriminate my hearing loss with her rolling her eyes when arranging our seating.

The lady was running back and forth checking if tables are ready for people to be seated. Meanwhile ppl left standing in limbo. As for the meals, waitress was friendly but chicken main was dry and overdone. Maybe had to come back another night.

The ambience, food and location are all excellent and just right after a long day in Queenstown. The portions are large and the staff very helpful and friendly!
Although there was a lot going on, everything went well and relaxed in NZ. The beer is great!
We will definitely come back on our next visit to Queenstown!

Das Ambiente, Essen und die Lage sind ausgezeichnet und genau das richtige nach einem langen Tag in Queenstown. Die Portionen sind groß und das Personal sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich !
Obwohl viel los war, lief alles NZ typisch gesittet und entspannt ab. Das Bier ist super !
Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Queenstown werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder kommen !
