Reviews of Hikari Teppanyaki Queenstown

I bought a takeaway tofu donburi for lunch and half of it was salad! Although the size of the meal was good, it was way too much salad in a donburi for my preference, and it was a bit strange because it had olives in it. The rice and tofu were delicious so next time I’ll ask for less salad now that I know. Staff were ok and I didn’t have to wait too long for it to be made.

It was okay. Noodles feel like instant noodles, sushi roll had frozen tuna and way too much rice.
Salmon don was cooked well.
Looks like main attraction is teppanyaki so my rating only applies to normal orders

absolutely delicious!! I ordered their spicy seafood udon and it was so so tasty - sort of similar to a Korean jjamppong (which I also love). I also tried a bit of their bento box and every component tasted wonderful. I had come to Queenstown for a small holiday with my family and was really craving something filling and warm and this was perfect for it! 🍱

Authentic and most definetly worth the visit. A good selection of vegetarian options

Great place to go celebrate a special occasion. Delicious food, entertaining chef and amazing backdrop. Kinda pricey but we all felt it was just worth it for the overall experience.

Chanced upon this place when we are en route from Queenstown to Wanaka during our holidays in Nov 2019. Loved the dishes and the "entertainment" by the chef. Ambience is wonderful and the prices are reasonable.

A M A Z I N G!!
Took the whole family and if you have 4 kids ranging from adult to 9 years old you know how hard it is to find something that is a solid 10 out of 10 for everybody..
The entertainment was hilarious. The food was cooked perfectly. Especially my seafood. Highly recommend. Money well spent.
We think our chefs name was Eric…?
Loved it.

Came here for dinner and the 8 of us ordered a plethora of dishes, ranging from teppanyaki to maki. The beef teriyaki was done really well! The chicken katsu was good too, according to my friend. The california maki was good; I loved it. And for so many at $18, I'd say go for it. The udon was decent to Japanese standards.
