Wow!!! Amazing, the flavours, the food, the wine and the service. Went as a small group of friends who wanted a flash night out and No 5 sure did deliver. The chef came out to explain each dish and his philosophy of using every part of the animal or plant, sourcing from local farms, foraging, and making zero waste. My sad old phone didn’t do the photos justice, but the memory is on par with Michelin star restaurant. I highly recommend the Kura-yaki crayfish dumplings and the Jerusalem artichokes. The duck was outstanding and the dessert was over the top.

We went two times one for dinnner and the other for brunch. The dinner was quite nice. Loved the salmon dish. Food quality and presentation were bith great. The dinner time staffs are knowledgeable, friendly and experienced. He recommended the best rose I had in NZ. The french toast was so tasty with the vanilla bean cream. When we went back for brunch though... not so welcomed. It took so long to place an order. The hall was quite understaffed...? One staff said something behind the counter; sounded like something didn't go well. We all have bad days but I felt it was quite inappropriate. I immediately felt quite uncomfortable and questioned about leaving. I would go back ... but maybe just for the dinner.

We loved everything about our dining experience here. The menu was diverse and fresh. Local and indigenous ingredients elevated the food and made for unique flavours. Mouth watering at every bite. They have good portion sizes, so you can try loads of things without stuffing yourself. The price point is really great for the quality! The staff and chef were very personable and attentive. We will be back!

Very accommodating and welcoming staff - we are slightly late to our booking but had no problem (it was during a quieter time). The service was excellent and staff were helpful. Enjoyed our conversation with the chef as well who brought out our meals. We had the lamb and feta dumplings - highly recommend you do try these.

The tasting menu is very good - more food than you can eat - ask for recommendations on what drink with the Chefs selection of dishes and you will not be disappointed.

Good cosy little fancy place. Cocktails were great, we were there for happy hour and had quite a few. Fairly pricey, but it is fine dinning. We were there on a Monday night and were the only ones there for most of the evening

Great meal, disappointed that we had to wait almost 45minutes for our meal. First item I ordered wasn't made aware that it was unavailable when I had ordered. Server should have known what was available and what wasn't.

Service is awesome, same as the food and desserts. If you like spirits and cocktails, this is the right place, they have massive different choices to drink.

Amazing cocktails, very original. We had the chef surprise us and the food was exceptional and also very original. It’s not cheap but reasonable considering the freshness and quality. Professional and friendly service. I would definitely recommend this place!

Tasted the chefs selections and had recommended wines to suit, very nice attention to details in the dishes, was great to have a creative style dining experience in Queenstown not just the same old food here. They cook outside of the box, making dishes interesting to try. Deserts tasted great, creative Staff are very friendly once seated.

Great super friendly staff. In actual fact, a few of the girls at our table were being a little bit frustrating and the new waitress handled it well. The manager (I think?) was so amazing. He let us split our bill by dollar value as we'd shared some entrees. Oh and the food!!! AMAZING! happy hour between 9pm and 10pm with $10 cocktails. We had a very brave girl with us who had a zombie cocktail. She rated it as foul but it sure put a rose in her cheek! 🤣🤣

Amazing! Amazing place. We are vegan and have tried many many different places. This place is absolutely delicious! They have plenty of vegan options but most importantly all options are vegan gourmet. The chef is just brilliantly creative! Thank you will come again!

Absolutely 5 stars! Such a fantastic experience. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. The Chef came out to serve us our main courses and explained a bit about the produce and cooking methods which was a really nice touch. We will be back!

Wow!... Absolute wow!... Our food was mind blowing!!..it was a very special occasion for our small group of 3 women, every detail was a show stopper. .. The staff were super attentive and charming. .. We were not dissapointed....we can't wait to go back..

Overall it was a very pleasant experience, including that the restaurant was nice and warm! We ate the surprise menu with matching wines..and really enjoyed it! Lovely to eat somethings I wouldn't make at home.. (Artischocke & barley soup, smoked grouper (which was our highlight with the matching chardonnay!!) only the mushroom mousse could have been a bit more intense in flavour against the Pinot gel, but the lamb neck was melting on the tongue, hangi veggies & croquette were great, only the brusselsprouts could've been cooked more... and finished off with a feijoa&apple doughnut & ice cream... Yum! Biggest complaint would've been that our water glasses weren't refilled (just put a bottle on the table if busy, or observe..) and maybe ensure the waitress speaks clearly when announcing the dish & corresponding wines.. so you're knowing what you're eating & drinking :) great evening! Thanks!

So happy we spent our last night having a meal here, the food was so delicious and well portioned, and the atmosphere was beautiful. There are heaps of delicious vegetarian options amongst the great meat ones so ceveryone was satisfied. They also have a great kids menu. The service was exceptional. Our waiter read exactly what we needed really quickly and was so good to chat to. All our needs were catered to (especially my nut allergy where they kindly thought to put the sauce on the side for the brocollini so I could eat it). We were so satisfied by the meals and the prices were really reasonable for the quality. Highly recommend for family’s, couples and invidividuals alike.

Really good vegetarian options! It's rare for a fine-cuisine spot to have such interesting, flavourful, varied vege options, but No5 Church Lane has heaps. I think over half their menu is vege. Highlight was the banana blossom - super delicious coating and satisfying texture. Prices are a touch expensive, but I think to an extent that's Queenstown in general. Totally justifiable for special occasions, especially when the meals are so interesting and beautifully presented. Awesome drinks list too; the Tailspin was an excellent cocktail. I need to go back for an Absinthe some time. Will return!

Highly recommend the Trust the chef menu. We had wines included and I must say, these guys know what they are doing. Loved the fact that the restaurant wasn’t overly crowded at this time too.

Went in early Saturday morning, very quite. Small and inviting no hustle and bustle. Very tidy and relaxed good selection of drinks. Came from next door from world bar for a quiet and relaxing drink. Staff are brilliant and coffee isn't bad. Hard to find look down the alleyway.

Amazing coffee and food. The caramelised bananas on toast with cashew nut butter was so delicious! It’s a bit pricey, but so are all the cafes in Queenstown. Will definitely be back during our next visit!

Good local cuisine. The Mezze was a good choice for us and provided plenty of food to feast on. The setting is cozy and romantic. The choice of drinks and spirits is also quite good. The service was attentive and pleasant.

Went here for breakfast and was quite surprised. Yes it's a bit more expensive than other places but the food is great. Had the big breakfast and my wife has the porridge. Portion sizes are very big as well, we were unable to finish the whole thing.

Came here for lunch and all I can say is, get the falafel!! 🤤 There was only one waiter waiting on three tables, he did a great job paying attention to all the patrons including us. Great food, I had to roll out the door. The Mezze degustation is a high recommendation!
