Incredibly fresh and tasty lamb, literally falls off the bone. Treat yourself, why buy American Fast Food when you can pay the same and feed a family of four with this lamb shoulder with potatoes, add some bread for $2.5 and you are sorted. Thank you Pedro, and forgive me for not coming to you sooner.

Best lamb I've ever had. We ordered a special roast order from them to pick up the evening after our wedding. It was prepared perfectly and was great to devour after an exhausting day. Also top props for checking I'd scanned in on the covid app at the door and for checking my vaccine pass even though I was taking away. I really appreciated it and it took some worry out of the day. Yup Crazy Lamb croquettes. That slow cooked lamb is a treat. Lamb is usually too strong meat for me but cooked right, its brilliant. Came by surprise but those tapas were wonderful too. Good cocktails, courteous personalized service, enjoyed the views, made my day Pedro's 👍

They have one main dish on the menu: $50 lamb shoulder that's falling of the bone cooked with sliced potatoes. Get three coleslaw and bread roll to make a sandwich and it'll easily feed a hungry group of 4. They also happened to have some spicy chilli sauce that day which added a great kick to the lamb sandwiche we prepared.

There is just one item on the menu - and it's the most succulent lamb done to perfection, served with scalloped potatoes that cook with the meat. 1.2 kilos of lamb cooked a minimum of 6 hours, till the meat is so tender it falls off the bone. One portion serves 2 hungry people perfectly (or one really hungry person). It's usually takeout, but on a sunny day, there is one table you can eat at. Friendly folks to serve you.

Outstanding quality of slow roasted shoulder lamb. The price had increase to 50NZD. The portion is very big and can be served for 5-6 pax. Take note that this outlet only offers takeways and delivery.

There’s a lot of good food in Qtown and Pedros easily takes the cake for the best if you’re a carnivore! They mainly do take out, only one table inside and one picnic table out, and you can place your order via phone, online or in person. Limited menu but what they offer they do very very well!

One item on the menu, it’s a slow cooked piece of lamb shoulder, absolutely perfectly done. Takeaway or sit on some seats out the front. One serve with bread is enough to feed 2-3 people. Highly recommended, good food for a night in!

You can only get this for takeaway and it's basically just lamb with potatoes on the menu. If a restaurant has only one thing on the menu, it'd better be damn good. Best lamb I've had, ever. Be sure to get some bread to soak up the lovely juices at the bottom of the pan.

Absolutely loved the perfectly roasted lamb shoulder served with the side of equally well done baked potatoes. The menu of this place is fairly simple and delivered to perfection "roasted lsm shoulder". Though advertised as takeaway, there are a few wooden benches just outside where you could sit and enjoy the lamb while enjoying a decent view of the park opposite. The aluminium bake tray packaging let's you carry back any leftovers easily. Love it and recommend it!!

I had high expectations after reading all the raving reviews and it did not disappoint!! As the website suggests I called up in the afternoon to place my order for dinner so we wouldn’t miss out. This was our last meal after a week in Queenstown+surrounds and it was the best meal of the trip. Bought some sourdough, fresh mussels and veggies and enjoyed dinner on our balcony. Had leftovers the next day with bread rolls. Absolutely delicious. You can have a single item on your menu if you do it well, and Pedros has got it perfect!

When a shop has only one menu, you know they are confident with it. This stuff is so good. Lamb leg so soft the bone fall of the meat (yep!), the potatoes soaking in lamb juices, crispy skin and tender meat. At 50 NZD per portion, which could feed 2-3 people, this is much cheaper than other similar restaurant serving this quality of food. Queenstown is a beautiful town but even if they're not, it's worth to visit just for this one meal. *bonus: they are take-out only shop which means you can't eat on site. Prepare your wine first before going here so you can go straight home and enjoy the lamb while it's hot.

Mom found the place on internet and we went there to get dinner. They have one menu, the lamb shoulder with potatoes, for 50$. They also have some sides you can get. We got the coleslaw salad which is very good. The proportion is pretty big, for two girls might be a bit too much, might feed up to 4 as well. The meat is very good and tender, tasty and well cooked, it came off super easy from the bones. Highly suggested. They have only take away.

Perfectly cooked lamb that was moist and pull apart soft. Potatoes were cooked well and buttery. Delicious gravy at the bottom that went well with the in-house bread. Enough food for two large eaters. There’s an indoor and outdoor seating area. Food is precooked and took minutes to serve. My only complaint is the price. Thought it was a tad bit too expensive.

We had our most epic meal from Pedro's House of Lamb. We picked up a beautiful to-go box of lamb and potatoes and a spectacular picnic dinner of NZ Pinot Noir, lamb, potatoes, and a supermarket salad and it was divine. It was better by far than any meal we tried to cook for ourselves at an Airbnb or frankly better than most of the restaurants in NZ (picnics are always nicer, though). Highly, highly recommend.

Great good. We went it picked it up at the place just 1 or 2 km from town. It comes in a foil tray in a box to make carrying it easier. Gorgeous slow cooked meat and potatoes. They also do salads to have with it. We are two big eaters and this was a very good sized portion for us!

We knew this take-away shop via google search (thanks for all the genuine comments from customers!). Originally, we only planned to get a taste of it and ordered one portion for 7 persons. Thanks for the kind advice of the shopkeepers, we changed our mind and bought 2 portions. The lambs were fingers licking good!

First impression : so empty the restaurant is Food quality : absolutely 10 out of 10 - meat is slow roasted which made the texture tender.. so far they don't have shank but shoulders only. Reason is most of shanks bought by China then this restaurant couldn't get supplied shanks. Still good portion for 2~3ppl depends on how big eater you are. 40NZD without baguettes. 3 tables in the restaurant. Seems they focus more on takeaways. One disappointing part is that they don't have alchohol drinks.

One item in the menu, Lamb, falling off the bone along with scallop potatoes, fantastic taste and texture. Would say it would feed 3 if you don't eat heavy portions, we had it for 2 and had enough for our child along with generous servings each.

Oh my God, was the first exclamation I made when I tasted this piece of perfection. It was unexpectedly delicious, lamb cooked to perfection and I am glad that I don't live near this place because I would find an excuse everyday to go and enjoy the succulent flavours again and again

I always try to eat lamb, but for me it's very strong meat. I decided to try Pedro's lamb and couldn't stop eating. The melting meat and accompanies a very succulent sauce. If you don't like lamb like me, I recommend trying this one 😋

Good service ….hearty fall of the bone lamb that can’t be improved on . Comes with the most delicious sliced potatoes …. Meals are good for 2-3 ….in our case two as I am a glutton lol Looking at all the pics meal is served with consistency…. Definitely will return

Delicious lamb and I ate too much! One serving is a huge tray of potatoes and lamb shoulder for $50. Could serve 3. Then you can get some sides like coleslaw and bread.

As everyone states, it's a 5 star meal. No surprises. It's a must. Parking was easy, there's a little turn off from the main street. We didn't order in advance, just walked in (Sunday evening). Staff were great people. Served us up in a couple of minutes. The serving size is massive. Someone needs to post a photo with a ruler / yard stick / banana for scale. The Spanish coleslaw was decent, but necessary to add some lightness to the meal. We didn't get the bread - had a tonne left over from Pak n Save. Served the same purposes... not wasting a thing. The local bottle shop was closed, so we drove up the road and over the Shotover Bridge to the Canyon Brewery. No bottled/canned beer for sale, but you can buy a take away (plastic) 1.25 litre growler for 15 NZD. Great selection of locally brewed beers. Had the Pale Ale. Very good.

Perfect for campers. Park your van on the street and eat the delicious delicious lamb shoulder in your car. 50$ and easily feeds 2, very good value. Amazing!

What a great concept; more or less one main item on the menu done to perfection. Only offering take out; so that it also brilliant!!! In a span of one 10 day stay in Queenstown, we got food from these kind folks twice!!! Can you deliver to Japan? ;-)

There is only an item on the menu. Portion is good for 3-4 pax ( smaller eaters) and it cost nzd 50. It was a pity that the sauce was burnt when we were there so we didn't get to taste it (overheard the staffs talking). there is limited seating as well.

Very nice surprise! Tasty, delicious, supreme (like a candy crush😄). As a good brazilian, I recommend with rice and farofa to eat together these wonderful lamb.

Meat quality is delicous! What is missing out for 5 stars is more spice in the sauce and more potatoes. Overall it's bit overpriced for 45$ it's nice for eating it once but I wouldn't go a second time.

I had higher expectations about the taste of lamb by reading previous reviews. It was dryish inside and had a slight rosemary flavour being otherwise dull. Yes, lamb meat was cooked well to fall off the bone, but flavour was definitely not a great part of it.

Great little place to grab a takeaway dinner. Fall apart lamb with all the trimmings. There isn't allot of space to eat inside so best to grab it as a takeaway and feed the crew.

Ordered 2 portions for 4 people. Portion size was quite big, we had some left overs. The meat might have been cooked a little too long and the bread was a little disappointing as it can be found in the supermarkets. They only do take-aways and delivery services.

It's yummy.. So tasteful but not overwhelming. I'm not a fan of Lamb, it's always a hit and miss for me, usually a miss but boyfriend loves lamb so I just had to get it for him - I've never eaten so much lamb in my entire life. Hidden gem on Queenstown. Very efficient service and great price for the food. They only sell one kind of meat and it’s delicious. Definitely enough for 2, even 3. Highly recommend.

Took my friends from Korea to this place as they never had lamb before. Before the purchase, I thought $50 was a bit too expensive for a takeaway meal but I was so wrong. It was definitely worth it and I have had lamb many times in my life, but this was THE BEST lamb shoulder I have ever had. Herbs and the potatoes went so well with the lamb. They say it's for 2 people, but I have to say that it is enough for 3 people or even 4 with the bread rolls if you are not so hungry.

Our football supporters group dined here last week and the food was amazing. Staff were excellent and friendly and it was a great dining experience. Thank you for a great night

This place only has one thing on the menu, lamb shoulders. Since it's the only dish, you can tell they focus all their effort to make the dish the very best. The lamb was the most delicious lamb I've had in Queenstown and it's big enough for 2 people. Be aware that this place is pick up or delivery only. They have some tables outside where you can sit at but if it's raining, you will definitely get wet.

OMG! Don’t feel like cooking but want something amazing and wholesome. You call Pedro for the lamb. Ordered this in Queenstown and got it delivered to the hotel. Ordered everything on the menu, the lamb shoulder, potatoes, bread rolls and the coleslaw. It was all great, fresh and delicious. The lamb was so tender that even the bones were soft! Value for money, quick, personable and efficient service. The best meal we have had in Queenstown.

I am writing this review 5 months later after visiting the Queenstown restaurant. The lamb was one of the greatest meals I have had. Next time I will travel from Europe to NZ, I definitely want to visit Pedro's House of Lamb again.

BEST NZ LAMB. We drove past this place on our way to Coronet Peak a few times and were drawn in by the amazing smell. It's a take-home experience, you can pre-order the lamb (or just rock up and hope for the best like we did) and you order by the tray. We ordered 2 trays for a group of 4 however that was too much. I'd say a tray of 1 would be enough for 3-4 people, but we weren't sad about the leftovers! The trays come with delicious roast potatoes too. Cannot rave on about this lamb enough.

Had some issues with delivery early on, but Damian and María got in touch quickly and rectified. The lamb is delicious and these guys obviously care about customer service, would recommend.

Absolutely delicious!! Called to order and delivery was prompt. The food was hot and the lamb was amazing!! I'll definitely be ordering again. Would recommend ordering a serving of the bread. Crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. Essential for soaking up the lamb juices that haven't already seeped into the scalloped potatoes (making it taste absolutely divine!). A must have!!!

Amazing amazing amazing! I'm a meat lover specially lamb and I have to tell you the best slow cooked lamb I've ever had! The guy at the shop was friendly and helpful. The only thing is it's takeaway shop which wasn't a big deal for me at all. Highly recommended.

We had a tip from a work colleague in Australia to try Pedro's. Wow! For $50 you get a delicious slow cooked lamb shoulder with a generous serve of slow cooked sliced potatoes. Best lamb ever!!! Apparently, the lamb is only available from about 4pm daily as a takeaway. As we were leaving Queenstown at lunchtime, we rang ahead & in just over 30 minutes, we had our lamb! Thank you Pedro's, great service & superb lamb!!!

Sooo delicious and well seasoned. Lamb was cooked to perfection and so were the potatoes. Was enough for 3 very hungry travellers. However, would be great to have more variety of salads to choose from, and at a lower price. Other than that, it was such a good feed!

We ordered one portion of lamb shoulder in queens town at our hotel and two of us were fully stuffed. The lamb was juicy and moist with rosemary and garlic favours blended to perfection. The meat falls off the bones and is foodgasmic. Certainly the best lamb I have ever had. Highly recommended !! 5🌟

Fast, delicious food! Everything was cooked perfectly. We had ours with the Coleslaw side and bread we had already. Meat was fall off the bone tender but still had a few crispy bits too.....I'm salivating just typing this.

Lamb like Nanna used to do! Who knew places like this still existed. Well Pedro did. NZ doesn’t have “Carvery’s” like they do in Australia, except for Pedro’s. I reckon you’d do well in Papamoa, we should talk, about bringing one to Papamoa! Check the response when you ask for the vegan options 😉😂😂😂😂😂

It was bloody amazing. I am so happy that ordered the lamb shoulder! No joke, it is an entire shoulder; radius, ulna, humerus, and scapula with all the delicious, tender meat attached to it. The meat falls right of the bone.

Take away only. Only one item on the menu "lamb for two" with side dishes of potato. Additional bread is available for purchase. Ordering is quite easy. Even better, lamb tastes FANTASTIC. Two of us are completely stuffed. Highly recommend.

Fantastic lamb shoulder. The employees here a really friendly. Make sure to ask for a small loaf of bread so you can soak up the extra juices out of the container when you're finished with the meat and potatoes. A single order will serve 2-3 people so the price is right for such a great meal.

They have a few outlets around NZ and we tried it at the Queenstown outlet; the lamb is fantastic! While the portion is said to be meant for two, I think it can easily feed about 3 to 4 person, especially since it comes with potatoes. You can get your own salad (we did) and it's a dinner. Not sure when is the "peak period" as the staff themselves admit that on the day I was there, they were sold out (I was lucky I pre-ordered), but just a few days ago, they weren't selling as fast. So, you can try your luck and walk-in, or you can just pre-order on their site.

Great tasting lamb. One of the best I've ever had. Their meat is surely top quality. My 3yo with adult tastes loved it as well. A bit overpriced, but it's not everyday you find the best quality meats.

We enjoyed happy hour at Pedros so much we went back 3 days in a row. The very best Sangrias, best garlic prawns, friendly service and relaxing atmosphere by the waterfront. Superb!!!

What a great find that was! It's a take-away place (they do have couple of tables outside as well if you feel like eating straight away) and they only have one dish- shoulder lamb and potatoes. Fresh-cooked lamb shoulders; great tasting, juicy, with all the potatoes taking all the flavour of the lamb underneath! Do get some bread to sop up all of the juices after you're done with the lamb. *Lamb served is halal, for muslim customers.

The food is great. Staff talking about American political figures in a negative way should be left out of the business. But let's talk about the food. The taste and portion size is great. I'd definitely come back and wish we had one in the states.

My hubby and I came this take away shop for our first queenstown dinner. AMAZING! Not a lamb lover like me first time found lamb can be cooked so deliciously. And we have met Sam! The only kiwi we know before we came NZ, from following XFun club’ Vedio clips. For $50 you get a slow cooked leg of lamb and a generous helping of potatoes, it was delicious! The only reason this review is missing a star is because the guy that served us seemed to care more about criticising his staff then actually setting an example. He was not friendly at all. Shame.

great lamb! friendly service! you don't need to reserve it you can just drop in a pick up a pack, great feed for 4 people just go down to ferg baker and get some bread and have a little salad on side and you have a perfect meal!

For those unfamiliar with young Pedro: you have the choice of one item in one size for one price - a box of lamb and potatoes. We were thoroughly confused to start with but it's bloody ingenious. It is a pickup or delivery place only. Give them a call and they can deliver within a reasonable time frame. Very delicious. Fed 3 of us. Grabbed a couple of rolls and a coleslaw side.

We enjoy lamb... but holy crap, this was awesome. Lamb shoulder and rosemary sliced potatoes. One order feeds three (or two, if you're big eaters). Get the bread too, soak up the juice. You could take it home, but there's a little table in the parking lot, or you can eat in the car... why wait?

My goodness, had been pre warned about the goodness of Pedros lamb! Before taking the plunge and buying if for dinner, as it was one of those nights were u just don't flaming know what to eat! Jumped on uncle Google and he pointed out a few good spots around Queenstown, there and then was when Pedro and his lamb poped up, the high standard standerd of reviews instantly caught my eye! So I had I bit of a read through as you do.. thourght that it was too good to be true, doubting Pedro and his lamb.. Pedro surely doesn't know lamb as good as me, so had to put Pedro and his lamb to the ultimate test. I tell you what you will not be dissapointed, hands down the best lamb out and about, suculant as can be tastey as all tastes, I recommend Pedro and his lamb as he will not leave u unimpressed, I assure you that. Keep up the good work Pedro (:

The lamb is well cooked and nice. Falling off the bone. However the potatoes are just slices not scalloped at all (needs cream and garlic to be scalloped). Very expensive for what you get.

Takeaway and Delivery only. That said, the lamb shank was cooked well and two packets fed a family of 5 well. Quick service and good food.

We LOVE Pedro’s house of Lamb. According to my daughter it should be called “Pedro’s house of freaking awesome”. It’s fantastic for a family dinner. Just don’t forget to book ahead.

It's a one dish place, and it's an amazing dish of lamb shoulder, potatoes, and gravy. However, it only comes in a portion for two that even we struggled to finish. Perhaps having a portion for one would help?
