Reviews of Pier
R.
For our first dining experience in Queenstown, we decided to try Pier as it was convenient and we were not disappointed. The staffs were very accommodating and patient. My first meal was seafood linguine but they didn’t have mussels. It was still good and my partner loved his American burger. We decided to have dinner here for the rest of our stay (2nd night I had a nice lamb shank while my partner ordered the same since he loved the burger, 3rd night we shared a Pan Seared Scallop, I had The Market Fish and my partner had sirloin steak. We both loved our meals although my partner did comment about the steak being small. Nevertheless we enjoyed the service, food and ambiance (nice view! Plus they have a nice heating system outside). We would love to come back here when we visit QT again in the near future!
T.
Great spot as you are central to the hustle and bustle of queenstown. The breakfast was okay, bacon was dry and coffee was… alright but definitely on the watery side, even for a long black. Prices were as expected for a restaurant/bar in a premium location. Much quieter than normal since there are no tourists in town.
A.
The service was excellent and food presentation is 5 star. However rock hard bread under the Salmon Benedict and watery coffee, which is the main reason for the 3 star review. I'd suggest get your coffee somewhere else then come back for the 'breakfast with a view' here.
D.
Excellent service, delicious food. They were short staffed and really rushed, but they welcomed everyone and kept their cool.
Brilliant location with comfortable indoor and outdoor dining. It was a bit chilly late in the evening but the abundance of heaters kept everyone warm.
F.
Arriving in Queenstown in the morning my partner and I wanted a good option for brunch. Pier has a fantastic outside eating area that is great under the sun, the waitress who served us was polite and really good. Wait time for food was good - only 10-15 mins. I got the Bacon Benedict and my partner got Chicken Caesar salad and both were delicious. Would recommend for breakfast/brunch!
G.
Having dinner at the Pier. This is great for breakfast or lunch. Lots of options to cover all. Coffee is great along with some craft beers. Staff are fantastic and very helpful. Mostly done out side but have large covering umbrella type with heating. Not problems. Had seafood linguine and it was great . Been here before and will dine hear again.
G.
Nice place to enjoy brunch on a sunny day. Service was quick and staff are friendly.
S.
Nice scallop and oyster plates. Very fresh and taste good. Highly recommended for anyone looking for seafood plates.
E.
Amazing food for our first night in Queenstown. The seafood chowder was perfect for the cold weather and the bluff oysters were fresh and huge! Paired well with the Otago Pinot. My partner had the fillet steak and gave it a 10/10. We will be going back before the end of our trip.
M.
The food is very good but the people that work there make it. A busy Easter weekend and they didn’t seem to have enough People working but they made it work. They were flat out making sure everyone was ok and we got what we wanted in double quick time. Good on you team you are awesome and made our night even after we made a hash of booking.
b.
Lovely setting in front 0f the steam ship Earnshaw. Excellent brunch dining either inside or outside.
L.
Consistently great drinks and service. Super lovely staff who really make you feel welcome. Both times my partner and I have come we have been served by a great bartender and have received great service.
D.
Late Friday afternoon popped for drinks and a bite. 4 ladies. To be fair somewhat average for food & service. In reality there were plenty of staff, they just weren’t interested in us. Very expensive for what we got. Not bad. But not great. Considering what we paid somewhat disappointed.

DATE OF VISIT: end of February 2020
SERVICE: beyond 5 stars
FOOD: 5 stars
RECOMMENDATIONS: Pan Seared Scallops, Truffle Parmesan Fries (see my pictures)
LOW CARB OPTIONS: Oysters, Mussels, Pan Seared Scallops, Salmon Salad
I chose this restaurant for their menu as I LOVE SEAFOOD and living in Arizona, we don't get much fresh seafood. It's a rather small menu but delicious, nonetheless.
The staff was INCREDIBLY friendly and so helpful. We walked by in the afternoon and put our names down for dinner and they were so accommodating giving us a PRIME spot outside where we can stare at the absolutely spectacular views! There were actually customers that snuck in and sat on the patio right as we were going to be seated and the staff politely told them they had to wait for a table and got both us and them sat. I absolutely appreciate when staff steps up to make sure that everyone is honored.
I am a sucker for scallops and would 100% order these again. They were seared perfectly (not overcooked). I wanted a little something more with my 3 scallops and the truffle parmesan fries were EXCELLENT. I am also picky about my fries, I don't like fries that are battered, I prefer them smooth but crispy and these were exactly that! This was almost a year ago and I still think about this meal!
We plan on returning to Queenstown and this would definitely be on the list!
A.
Simply one of the best place for dinning. Went there for breakfast and ended up having 4 meals. Yummy food and awesome staff who really look after you.
J.
Staff were polite and the coffee was fine. Took a while for it to arrive, even though they didn't seem busy - about 10+ minutes for 3 coffees. Can't comment on the food.
S.
This is a lovely restaurant by the lake which as a family we came and had lunch at with friends.
They have a kids menu which is suitable for both the little ones and the early teens.
The variety on the menu is good and the taste and flavour spot on. I'd certainly come here again and happily bring the family.
D.
Our meals at Pier were both lovley.
My wife had the chicken with she loved and I had the steak with mashed potatoes and peppercorn sauce.
The peppercorn sauce was excellent. I specifically asked if it was a creamy sauce and not a dark gravy based sauce. It didn't disappoint. It was great..
Sorry about the poor photo quality.
R.
Restaurant decor super modern we sat out side by the heater which was great with the night view.
Food is expensive I ordered chips and a fillet 200g so steak and chips pretty much $47 not worth it.
Staff weren't very attentive they seem more interested in getting people eating out so they can start the drinks menu only. Seen our waiter once when she returned to tell us to pick something else of the menu but didn't have information on why we had to select a new item from the menu.
J.
The experience didn’t start great, they were having challenges in the kitchen and the wait time for the food was long. However the restaurant redeem itself with great service and excellent food. We had the fish tacos, tuna and the caprese salad. All well prepared and very tasty. We went back a second time for brunch - the eggs Benedict’s and the avocado bruschetta were excellent. Overall highly recommend the restaurant.
B.
Stopped by for dinner with some friends. It was the only place that was able to fit all of us. There was a fairly good selection of food. The staff were patient with us as we tried to pick food. I went with the scallops and the lamb rack. The scallops were really good. Quite liked the sauce and it was nice to dip the bread in. The lamb rack was alright. It lacked a bit of seasoning and the fat wasn't rendered much so it was quite fatty. Fairly decent amount of lamb. It was cooked well though. Tried some of the risotto as well and thought the rice was a bit undercooked.
Food presented well and the service was good, but was quite pricey, around the $30 mark for mains.
P.
Great service and food was good. Scallop dish was so flavourful. Steak was good. Everyone enjoyed meals however my fondant did not ooze.
B.
Our conversation revolves around the food that we had while in New Zealand and one thing that she missed the most was oysters. We didn't eat any oyster after our first meal in Oyster & Chop, Auckland.
Therefore, I searched for a place where we could enjoy the oysters and at the same time, the scenery of Lake Wakatipu. Pier Restaurant appeared in my search - located right in front of the Steamer Wharf.. it had the strategic location of fronting the lake. We were seated outside near to the heater because it was very cold at that time.
◾Fresh oysters - comes in half or one dozen, we opted for the former. Cravings satisfied!!
◾West Coast Whitebait with potato fritters, citrus butter, sourdough and herb aioli - despite the not-so-appetising look, it actually quite delicious
◾NZ Seafood Linguini filled with green lipped mussels, clams, blue cod, salmon, rocket, almond pesto, and grilled Turkish bread. They were very generous with the amount of seafood which we appreciated. Good till the last slurp.
◾Mulled wine - actually we were curious on what mulled wine was, having seen the station just right outside the restaurant. Later only we got to know that it was spiced wine which served warm or hot but still alcoholic. I could taste the cinnamon in the wine. Let's say that it was not our glass of wine
◾Rabbit Ranch Pinot Gris from Central Otago is the perfect pairing for the oysters
Small ones were very excited to see the ducks around, and they quickly finished their meal before running over to buy food for the ducks... Which was great because we could enjoy our meal in peace without having to rush to finish it.
m.
Mid day friday in the sun by the water. Muld wine and cider with coffee followed by a blt and smashed avo with poached eggs on sourdough. Everything you could want. Attentive helpful team of servers too.
S.
Lunch here was delicious a few years back. Sadly you can't get the lunch time items for dinner. I guess the chefs are too busy with the steak, duck and lamb dishes. The selection is paltry to be fair for mains. My wife and I had a 1.4 kilo lamb shank to share and it was cooked well and tasty. Is just prefer some more options. My wife likes a roast. I like flavour that is more complex.
S.
Great food, great atmosphere with stunning views.
Staff are great to deal with and of course the beer on tap is a must.
Indoor and outdoor seating available with big umbrellas for shade.
Y.
Location is great and food was pretty good. Price is acceptable.
Service was not consistent between staff. One of the waiter spilled water to the seat while cleaning up a table (not our table), and just wiped with USED napkin and walked away. The new arrived customer noticed and has to wait until other staff cleaned the seated properly.
C.
What an amazing place! The food is fantastic and it has awesome service. Recommend it for sure. It also has a great view! Love it!!!
L.
There was no flexibility with their service. We arrived at 11:30 interested in selecting from their lunch menu. We had to wait exactly 12:00 noon before they gave us the lunch menu. Since I was hungry already, I ordered the eggs Benedict with streaky bacon from their brunch menu. The hollandaise sauce tasted funny. My daughter ordered the scallops which was dipped in some creamy sauce and served with bread. My husband ordered ribeye which was nicely seasoned and cooked medium rare. It took some time before the food came probably because there were a lot of customers but the lovely view of the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu more than made up for the mediocre service.
C.
Their cocktail list is pretty amazing and bartender is well-experienced, we ordered many that weren't on the list. Food was great too, a must-go place in Queenstown!!
B.
Great service my the front of house and food was out in no time. Great eggs and bacon with a legit location. Had a very enjoyable time. Thanks Pier team
J.
Quality Seafood menu! Went here for dinner last night! The place is packed but very comfortable to sit and not noisy with outdoor heaters. The place creates a great atmosphere as to what the restaurant caters; near the water and boats. Ordered Bluff Oysters and is very tasty and IMO very good. Then I ordered some seafood linguine and Pulled lamb shank; the best yet that I have! Quality food - very good! Very friendly staff and helpful as well to tourists. Highly recommended this place! Go check them out
C.
We had the poached blue cod and lamb shank. Both were delicious although the dishes lacked salt.
The downfall to the restaurant was this service. The waitresses had no idea about the menu and were slow and careless.
Luckily the food was good and the view was nice.
O.
I'm super fussy, like it takes alot to impress me and I would give the breakfast a 9.7 out of 10. VERY GOOD. I had the Pier big breakfast. Amazing. The only thing I can fault was it was a little bit cold inside. Other than that it was perfect
T.
Stunning view on good day
Too expensive compare to quality
$38 for salmon, $36 for lamb shank
Staffs are friendly
R.
Fabulous location and good customer service. I had the gourmet burger (double beef pattie, onion jam, tomato, cheddar cheese, aioli, brioche bun, and fries). If it's a nice day you should sit outside to soak up the sun and vibe. I've never eaten inside yet but will try to next time if I ever go to Queenstown in the winter.
B.
Great views and friendly service, but after ordering the American pancakes with summer berries, I was disappointed to receive bland, half cooked pancakes, not I'm the least reminiscent of the American style, with a few sad looking berries on top.
Would give a second chance for a different meal, but a bit saddened to be let down by such a simple classic.
K.
We ate here twice as we loved the food . Although I would def like to mention, that u need to go in early for dinner or lunch as they have limited stock of the fresh catch of the day and it’s out of stock rather soon. Both times we never got to have the ravioli or the cray fish as they were out of stock. Also they have a few new staff whose communication amongst each other isn’t that good. One would say they are out of stock while another one will say they def have it in the menu. The girl who served us told us there’s no crayfish and immediately a few mins later she went to the table right next to us and informed them that the crayfish had arrived and whether they would still want to order it. The seafood chowder was lovely.the fried oyster were to die for. The calamari was yum and also the whitebait but very little in quantity . They need to increase their portions . Desserts were good too
R.
Great food and service, excellent setting. The food isn't cheap but you get what you pay for. The outside tables have big heaters so are definitely an option on cold winter days as long as the weather is dry and calm.
A.
Amazing cocktails! And even better service.. I believe her name was Angel 10/10
S.
Our first time in queenstown and really enjoyed this place. Beautiful fish and chips and awesome service
A.
Nice food great staff good atmosphere good view while drinking a cold one
M.
The best meal we had for our 8 days in New Zealand
J.
Arriving into Queenstown Friday 16 October we were looking for a sunny table by the water for a bite to eat. Maree loves her Caesar Salad and we came back to enjoy a 2nd serving the next day. Thank you and your team for 2 lovely afternoons :-)
M.
Best chips you will ever have, amazing service… 10/10
C.
Fabulous breakfast. My wife and I both had the smatched avocado on toast with poached eggs and feta. Beautiful combination of flavors.
This would have been a 5 star review apart from the request for a tip on the bill. NZ is not a tipping culture, instead employees are paid and treated properly by their employers. Please let's not seen our culture eroded by unsavory foriegn practices.
Z.
Amazing staff and food. The staff where friendly and helpful. We went there for tea and ended up going back the next day for lunch. Coffee was amazing. Prices where really great. Just loved it.
F.
Nice food, nice environment, nice view but coffee just ok!
D.
Some of the staffs are friendly and approachable. Coffees is alright, view is nice from the restaurant,
Haven't tried any food yet.
L.
Really great place to have a dinner with a beautiful view to the mountains. I ordered lamb shank and it was very yummy. Scott is the best!!!
D.
Great place just too enjoy a local wine and whatch the people go by
J.
Amazing service and food, thoroughly enjoyed the mimosas!
Will be back again for sure
A.
Absolutely loved my mulled wine,, nice place to relax after walking the sights round Queenstown 😊
D.
Beautiful spot for a cocktail beside the lake. Patio heaters and rugs were a nice touch. Best chocolate milkshake I've had in ages. Great service..
B.
Great food, great service
R.
The food are delicious, but I wished they put more fries in for the price that I’m paying for. Overall, nice place to dine in during day and night with the beautiful view. During winter they have those heaters outside and blankets are provided which is really nice and staff are friendly.
C.
Good fast service blue cod fish in chips is fantastic 👌
J.
Super yummy food and friendly staff. Killer view too!!
G.
Very delicious food and drinks. My mum and I had the roasted free range chicken, it was mouthwatering, my dad had the Lamb shanks and my husband had the seafood chowder. They both said it was so good! We also had the roasted vegetables and chips to share. Also so good! Service was great and really friendly staff. We sat outside looking over the lake. It was soooo busy and definitely coming back here again in the future. 👌
M.
It’s okay. The service was nice, great location with the view to go with it. The food is a bit too generic. I had whitebait frittata. It has too many ingredients in the omelette which over overshadowed the delicate flavour of whitebait. Maybe the sundried tomato was too much. Rocket salad was a bit overwhelming as well. I thought they are good for garnish but not as whole bush.
c.
Not one for giving bad reviews....ever, finding it hard to produce a positive. Both food and service lacklustre at best. Scallop dish probably top of our choices, delicious. Salmon full of large bones which ruined an otherwise good dish, seafood chowder very disappointing as in other reviews, where was the seafood? (Had an awesome one 2 days before in TeAnau). The only saving grace for service was a waitress in training, the only staff member offering "service with a smile". The others appeared to wish they were somewhere else. Not enjoying your job? Find another. Not the norm for QT at all, and so sorry you were having a bad day, but very unprofessional to pass it onto the customer. Hopefully just a one off and if we dine here in the future, will enjoy this restaurant more.
M.
Amazing little place delicious food ..good company..hot coffee..friendly service
B.
Nice to see it busy on new year's eve. Great views
J.
Stop at the Pier for dinner. I had the tomato tart and my friend had the seafood chowder. Both were delicious and made from fresh ingredients. The staff is very friendly and efficient. We got seated right away and the food came promptly. I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner.
S.
Dined in tonight for my birthday 31/5/20. Was served quickly and the food was lovely but was very disappointed that we were not offered another drink or dessert menu. After 30 minutes sitting with our empty glasses in full view, we left and had dessert and drink elsewhere.
D.
We absolutely loved the food and the ambiance.
F.
Real beautiful pier. Good restaurants. And street artists.
R.
Very lovely restaurant, service, outdoor setting with nice food
S.
Awesome service, great food and friendly staff.
N.
Food and service was great! Nice atmosphere and all. Portions were a bit small but delicious so it was no bother :) The only thing that turned me off was that I had made a reservation online through their site, and when I arrived they had no record of it. On top of that, the manager was very short-and rude when telling me they probably didn't check their website that day and promptly walked away. Luckily the hostess was accommodating and very friendly-she found us a table, and the rest of the service from our waiter was excellent.
J.
Went for my favourite Bluff oysters and was VERY disappointed to receive several of the oysters which had been chopped into small pieces. On questioning this i was told that is how they are meant to look as they are special "Bluff" oysters which had been shucked on the premises. At $40 for 6 I was pretty annoyed.
They were more like soup oysters and probably should have been. I have been eating oysters for over 50 years so know darned well they were not meant to look like that. The chef or whoever was managing the kitchen should not have allowed them to go out to the diners like that. It was extremely disappointing. And no, no apology. Have previously enjoyed going to Pier 19 and have frequented it and recommended it since it first opened. Won't be going back again sadly.
A.
Seafood chowder was missing the seafood component of it - no mussels, prawns or scallops in it. But the scallops with nuts/bacon sauce was awesome and the view us just outstanding. Not the best restaurant in town but a lovely view on the pier, and friendly service
F.
Love their food, environment and service. The seafood and steak are sensational. It is lovely to enjoy wine and meals with their fireplace and by the river. All waitresses are very friendly and keep checking us.
A.
Great atmosphere and staff. The photos don’t do restaurant justice, very stylish. The food was delicious, but the Pork Belly meal portion was quite small.
L.
Lovely atmosphere right by the lake. Great service from Kane- a real asset to the Pier!
Taste food and beverages
Will go again.
J.
Wonderful food, great service and perfect location!
I had dinner yesterday. It was the last night of my trip in Queenstown for the holidays. I ordered oysters and sirloin. I was waiting for about 40mins but, they apologised for the delay with my entree and gave me a half price of the oysters for long wait time!
All the staffs were welcoming and friendly. A cute waitress serving me made my dinner time enjoyable. Above all, excellent food and perfect place with great vibe made me have more orders.
Highly recommend to have a meal at this awesome restaurant!
P.
Beautiful eggs Benedict! Really tasty, nice presentation. Excellent service.
E.
Quite pricey when compared to Ivy and Lola's next door.
P.
I was surprised how good it was given the excellent location, which might mean it was over priced and under delivering. But no, my granola would be worth coming back for. Perhaps just slight more expensive but location is beautiful. Staff good. My family all happy with their food. Not a lot of kids options. But my 7 year old had a side of has-browns.
C.
This place was so good we ate here twice in 4 days, lunch and dinner, both times the food and service was excellent. Grab a seat outside to enjoy the amazing views. Very reasonably priced compared to dining options nearby.
B.
The Salmon Wellington with caviar was delicious 😋
P.
Great location cafe at Queenstown with a view to Wakatipu lake. I ordered a flat white & scrambled eggs on sourdough toasts. They both tasted good. I had to wait for a little bit long to get the service because there were many customers, so it's understandable!
P.
Some of the best food I've had in a long time! We went there twice for food and a couple more times for wine and dessert. The tuna was totally amazing! And the view is to die for. Staff also very friendly. Would go there all the time if I could!
H.
A great spot on the Queenstown wharf with an amazing view. Had breakfast here, delicious food and coffee. Outdoor seating is warm with the outdoor heating the restaurant has.
M.
Nice restaurant with friendly personal. We had fish&chips and beef steak with chips. It was delicious. They have a fantastic wine!🤩 you can sit insede or outside.
J.
Our breakfast find.
Lovely eggs bene and latte. Great location with a view. Great staff.
M.
This is the 4th time that I have eaten here and the food has always been fantastic. Today is no exception. Had brunch on Saturday and lunch today and the food was delicious both times. Would highly recommend it. Great location. Staff are lovely and friendly. Well priced and definitely value for money. Best place in Queenstown for coffee 😊
Y.
The ambience is nice, service was okay.
But I had the best Seafood pesto pasta ever!
It was really good, I’d fly from Melbourne to Queenstown just to eat it!
Definitely will come back for the pasta 🙌🏻
K.
Very good food at Queenstown harbour
J.
Lovely dinner with a perfect wine and a stunning location. The venue is fantastic, all our food was first class and the service was friendly and next level, highly recommended 👍
C.
Awesome food . Coffee good. Excellent Chai. Hollandaise sauce excellent. Kumara and corn fritters very yum
A.
My second visit! The food and wine is amazing. Will be back again :)
P.
Lovely seafood! Great service.
p.
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner tonight at the Pier, the food was delicious and filling. Thank you very much Coco for your first-rate service.
B.
Went for breakfast. Only place that cooked my bacon exactly how I love it. Not that the others are bad mind you. This place hit the spot after the previous days wine tour. New Zealand definitely knows how to turn on the hospitality charm.
D.
Really friendly staff, good vibe. Food was great and 3 different menus, so theres plenty of different meals to try out.
M.
Great view, very good food (both main course and dessert) and very nice waiters. Restaurant manager Paul came to our table and gave great advice on wines. 5 star experience.
Z.
Drinks were good and servers are courteous and nice.
Pro Tip for Foreigners #1: Don't go up to the bar thinking it's open for seating. You must go to the host table first.
Pro Tip for Foreigners #2: When your are ready to leave, just go up to the "host" table and pay. This requires you to know what table number you are (I'm sure they will figure it out if you just point to it) but it's better than waiting 20 mins to find out after finally flagging your server down that this is what you need to do.
T.
Great service and excellent food. Friendly staff. Highly recommended
T.
Experiencing the vibe. Service was instant, the quality was top notch, couldn't fault the typical Queenstown vibe. Enjoyable.
H.
Can't speak for the menu much as we both ordered the same dish on both visits, but certainly didn't experience all the negatives others seem to take issue with. Went for breakfast before the steamboat sailing and service was warm, food came out warm and the Eggs Benedict tasted great (MUST try hashbrowns, tasted awesome!). Liked it so much we went back again 2 mornings later before we flew out. Maitre D' seemed a little "bored" and inattentive, but everything and everyone else was just as good as the first time. Yes the dish was smallish and price was highish, but it is Queenstown on the waterfront, should be expected. Seriously... how do you make those hashbrowns?!
H.
The meals are great 👍 quick service on our order and didn't have to wait long well done staff 👍 👏.
J.
Dinner last night was delicious. It was a little chilly sitting outside but the Pier provided blankets and heaters so it was bearable. Steak was a little salty but seafood chowder and duckfat chips were perfect!
i.
I have evaluated with one star instead of five star by accident. Everything was awsome. I will back there again :)
Thanks,
M.
Great service. Even better food, the beef wellington was perfect and the creme brulee was just right. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.
T.
There are better and cheaper options right near by. Location and views is what this place has going for it. Coffee was ok.
L.
On a sunny day with a spot overlooking the lake you can't ask for much more. The service and food are pretty good and local wine can't be beat.
J.
Nice location and loved the tumeric latte, def worth trying!😋
T.
Well-located and lively lake-side restaurant. The seafood is fresh and locally sourced. But menu offering is limited and pricey. Staff are attentive and make you welcome.
L.
Came to pier for Sunday lunch with my family. What a lovely little restaraunt on the warf. We had a friendly, smiley Waitress serving us, I think jade was her name. Went above and beyond for our meal, with a happy can-do attitude at all times. What delicious tacos and scallops. Will be coming back again and reccomending to friends and family.
G.
Despite 1 degree temp, was great. Excl calamari. Friendly atmosphere. Service excellent
J.
Very good coffee and cosy atmosphere. There's a waitress I would like to compliment. She recognises us everytime we come in and she knows what we want. She's tall and probably French. 👍
C.
Went here before Christmas for breakfast whilst down in QT. Great little spot nd the team here do not disappoint. Great food, great service
K.
Had drinks here. The place was very busy but staffs were friendly. Coffee was good.
T.
Amazing meal with fantastic service
T.
Great spot for lunch or having a beer, fantastic views.
N.
Great scrambled and fried eggs. The toast wasn’t soggy at all! Unlike most restaurants. Good job pushing out the orders quickly, just in time for the Earnslaw cruise.
B.
Great place to have breakfast. Although the quantity of food in the breakfast was not much, but the quality was great. Kids menu items are the most worth, but if you want a nice breakfast(quality over quantity), heres the place to come.
D.
The Seafood Chowder and Ice Chocolate were very good.
O.
Oysters Scallops Blue Cod and a beer for lunch. Lovely table on the wharf deck. Dog friendly
K.
Really nice place to eat and relax. We sat outside by the fire at night time and it was a really nice experience. Fast and friendly service. Good for family or couples
P.
Great attentive service. Seafood chowder really really good.
As was the mulled wine.
Recommended 👍

Food quality was not worth more than three stars. Service was ok but some food came out cold and you can tell waffles were not made from scratch.

Looking for dinner for a special birthday here in picturesque Queenstown, we found it . When on spof the moment and table looking straight at the Remarkles ( one of the amazing mountain veiws here in QT).we ordered the lamb rack and fish of the day special while drinking a local beer .everything was superb including the atmosphere as the restaurant is right on the water front ,staff friendly and food was sumptuous. We were delighted and only fault was no outside heaters as little cold but they had blankets to keep legs warm.
K.
Good location but very rude waitress. Not a nice experience. It was not a particular crowded day at the restaurant but waitress were very impatient and rude. Good local wine options. Pretty pricy but understandable for its location.
A.
Food and service are fabulous!!😍
N.
We stopped in here for a quick drink before jet booating and we're told to seat ourselves... Maybe there was a miscommunication because we waited a good 10 minutes before being served, as a result we had a pretty rushed experience.
m.
Perfect spot for a yummy breakfast. Well positioned for mountain and water views. Out side in the sun is perfect considering how chilly new Zealand can be in the morning.
J.
Nice views, good beer and wide array of wines.
g.

Lovely place to walk and relax when in queenstown.
S.
Great location, great service and a pretty great menu. However, their Eggs Benedict isn't worth a damn.
It's only a minor slight against them...everything else is in their favor.
L.
Loved the recommendation from Lucy Jeane and how helpful she was throughout the night. Wish every place had staff like this. 10 points :)
R.
I'm guessing it was due to it being boxing day but I had to wait over an hour for the food. Had the linguine which wasn't bad but not worth waiting that long for. Shows you how important location is.
L.
This place has a great view and the food was pretty good. The place is a little pricy but it is at a prime location. The seafood plater was tasty but nothing special.
P.

My daughter and I had our last holiday dinner at the PIER and had a great experience. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, service was quick as expected. Her burger was nicely presented, loved the chips although she gave the burger an average score. My seafood chowder was really delicious especially on a cold night accompanied with lovely bread. Coffee leaned towards the watery side but tasty enough to complete my meal. We will come back again next time hopefully to enjoy the daytime view !
M.
First experience here, and it was fantastic.
All the food was fresh & tasted terrific, and was presented in a great fashion. Same goes for the drinks.
J.
(Translated) Oysters are canned, just on the shell. Not too fresh, but it's definitely Bluff's oysters. Not many cocktails, service was ok, gas heater on, not cold at all.

生蚝是罐头的,只是放在蚝壳上。不太新鲜,不过确实是Bluff的蚝。鸡尾酒品种不多,服务还行,开着煤气取暖器,一点也不冷。
C.
