The Wharf kitchen is perfectly placed by the pier with stunning views of the water. The Fish (Snapper) & Chips ordered was good. But a few things were definitely missing, the lightness of a beer battered “crumbed” fish, there was only one portion of fish where usually for that price it would usually come with two. I didn’t like how I needed to pay an additional $1 for a crumbed fish (which usually fish and chips it’s already battered), and the little sauces were also a dollar extra each. Maybe for a takeaway option absolutely, but we were dining there and still needed to pay for those. A bit silly. No option to have it on the side or anything. Fish and chips were tasty nonetheless.

An end to a blissful day in Raglan. The food was great and ticked all the boxes.. The staff were young, enthusiast and kind. We especially loved the huge bottle of Waikato beer on the table - a blast from the past😃 You forgot to ask us about desserts - next time😁

Start our day with a big breakies and coffee on sides before strolling and roaming fantastic views of Raglan like Bridal Veil Falls, Wind Farm and Manu Bay and before heading back to our accommodation and we had dinner of yummy Dal and Butter Chicken Curry at the Wharf Kitchen recommended by accommodating local here in Reglan. We love this place. We had the fish of the day (gurnard) and a sirloin, two simple and traditional dishes, the meat was superb, the veggies were great, and altogether our meal was delicious. Friendly staff too and a relaxed atmosphere!

The place speaks for itself. A perfect place for dinner, seasonal food option exceptionally blended in with the entire ambiance. The loss of one star was because of a below par service in term of over all experience. Highly recommend, a very local friendly place but a must visit for people exploring New Zealand.

This is a very pretty restaurant good service and good food. In fact the fish and chips were some of the best we've had in New Zealand! We loved sitting out on their deck in the evening enjoying a glass of wine and the lovely surroundings. Highly recommended, especially the fish and chips.

Beer selection was a little generic, would have loved a better selection, but overall good. A little pricey but is worth it for dinner out.

I have had a great experience here, lady who served us was lovely, food was delivered on time and was yummy. My main reason to go there was cos I love seafood platter's. Lovely location right on the wharf, especially if the tide is in. We had wonderful service but the food was a bit of a let down. I ordered the fish n chips was very average the fish was dry and my chips didn't taste cooked. my husband ordered seafood chowder which was more like a curry and didn't taste very nice. My daughter ordered the French toast and said it was delicious.

My wife & I had come here on our Honeymoon, and without a dout was one of the lovelyist meals we had ever had. My wife had the seafood chowder & the mussel linguine, and I had the earth to ocean (steak meal) , both perfectly prepared, & served in adiquit timing by lovely staff with an beautiful atmosphere. Well done guys, you should all be proud of your establishment.

Phoned in for order at 6.20 pm. Was told half an hour. We were just around the corner so went across after 15 minutes. Huge queue, went to pay and order was stuffed up, forgot scoop of chips, so finally an hour later we got our fish and chips. Suggest when ordering via phone you ask the person to repeat back your order. Thankfully it was worth waiting for, fresh fish was delicious

This is my absolute favourite restaurant and bar in Raglan. The incredible views are only matched by the exceptional service and quality. The owner is a well-respected local that genuinely cares about her staff and the community. The food comes out fast and fresh - the passion and creativity behind the scenes is impeccable. Great place to have lunch or dinner in Raglan. Super friendly service and very quick. Few different seating areas, which is awesome. We came in for lunch on Saturday, the place seemed moderately busy, but we were greeted with a big smile, picked a table outside and within 2-3 mins got our cold beers - exactly what you need on a beautiful hot summer day:) Lunch menu is good, and there are all day breakfast options too. I had fish and chips, partner ordered Vietnamese meatballs salad (Not sure of the exact name, but it was a salad with meatballs:). Everything arrived pretty quick, looking and smelling great. Top marks for fish - super fresh and cooked perfectly! One of the best fish and chips I ever had! Salad was very delicious too. Overall great experience, highly recommended. P.S. Will have to come back one day for the Seafood Plank - few tables around us ordered it, and it looked soooooo good:)

Wow what a fantastic restaurant and memorable experience! It was a pleasure right from the time of making the phone booking all the way through to paying the bill, the team was amazingly friendly and attentive which made you feel valued and appreciated! We want to say an extra big thank you to Andrea for going the extra mile and sitting with our crying baby and entertaining our tired toddler for awhile so my beautiful wife could enjoy her birthday dinner! Service was great. All your waiting staff are lovely. In regards to meals, I enjoyed my chowder however, I think the menu may need to mention how the pork belly is cooked here. We expected a crispy top, instead there was a thick layer of fat which was inedible.

Went here for dinner last night. Service was great, atmosphere was lovely with the view out over the water. Had a sharing platter which was yummy and shared the snapper main. Snapper was so fresh and cooked perfectly, with a caper butter that made it amazing. Dessert was chocolate cake with ice cream and fruit, again yummy one complaint could have had more fruit with it - had a single strawberry and cherry. Also some music during the meal would have been nice, however still an amazing dinner and well worth it.

I had my father with me who was in a wheel chair and Elle went beyond expectations to make sure my father was comfortable and we had everything to enjoy our meals. Our food was delicious and filling. I was happy with this place except that... just personal preference.... I prefer my seafood chowder with a lot more mussel (for flavour), some scallop and prawns (for flavour and texture), no actual fish (because it is largely padding and actually interferes with other flavours and especially textures), without the rivulets if olive oil, and far less domination (of favour and texture) by the masses of cream (and possibly butter).

So, this was across the street from where we stayed at the Silos, which made it easy to access, and quite frankly, worth the trip. If it were a bit more "out there", this may be closer to a 3. The food was fine. We had the fresh fish the first night (gernurd), which was magnificent, and a no brainer to order again. And the soup we shared (seafood chowder maybe...I forget), was quite nice, another no brainer. The second night, they were out of fresh fish, which felt a bit odd for a seafood restaurant, so I had the scotch fillet. The fillet was a clear 3 star meal, average at best. My wife had the prawns. They were nice, but not anything memorable. The staff were very kind and courteous, and the service was on, both nights. That makes up for the lack of fresh seafood options. So, to answer the question, would I go back? Well, yes, I would. So a total of 4 stars it is.

Raglan, the one in New Zealand not the one in South Wales is a lovely and friendly little town and the wharf is a great place to eat. Without a doubt the best ribs I have ever tasted, you must try them. The staff are very friendly as is usual in NZ

We stopped in Raglan on our way from Waitomo to Auckland for an impromptu dinner and were very impressed with both the food and service. We ordered the seafood platter, scallops and fish & chips and, while everything was delicious, we all agreed the ceviche was our favorite. We ended our dinner with the apple crumble and deconstructed lemon meringue, both of which were incredible. FYI, we almost didn't go because the hours online listed 8p as closing, but when we arrived they were still seating. Enjoy!
