Great service, great food and a great view. So worth a stop and very afordable .... value for money ..... cannot wait to go there again

Lovely location and beach feel. No vegan options and I’m still reeling from the price tag of one slice of avocado and tomatoes on toast with no goats cheese to make it vegan. Then to be charged $4.50 for two mushrooms?! You get more value from Queenstown waterfront restaurants, which says a lot.

Menu looks amazing. Location is beautiful. Staff are good. The people I ate with enjoyed their Neal's. I didnt ordered steak with truffle oil potatoe and a jus. The jus was a gravy and there was no truffle oil in mashed potatoes steak was average.

nice view with clean environment. Loved taco fish. Small portion, but good enough for snack food. Recommend couple with lazy afternoon.

Great experience & great staff. We were part of a large group most of whom had never been to this area of the world, so well done for your hospitality & service.

Fantastic place to eat a meal and enjoy a drink. Overlooking the ocean this place has a great vibe. The staff and owners were very friendly. So glad that we found this gem. Food was perfect and a good selection of drinks to compliment the meal. Dog friendly too. 10/10

Had a fantastic time at The Beach house Restaurant! The service was on point and the setting was great with beach views. I had the seafood chowder, which was amaaaaazing! Our table of three finished every single piece of food on Our plate and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Our dog also got a puppachino and a biscuit with our meal. Would definitely recommend 👌

Love it, friendly and you don't have to wait very long for your meal. Top notch. Pork Burger was so tasty I should have gotten two!! Cheers Scott and his team

Tracy & Scott have carved out a little slice of culinary heaven in a location that serves to naturally put one in the mood for delicious seafood. To that end, the Fish Tacos we’re SO GOOD that we HAD to order a second round before the equally tasty and clam-packed linguine took my taste buds away with the delicacy of white wine, garlic and clam flavours. Rivertown is a bit out of the way for those who trek to Invercargill on business, THE BEACH HOUSE so makes it worth your while to do so!

Although the staff were busy, they made sure we were happy with everything and did their best to serve us as quickly as possible. Food was great and view was great.

First time eating here. Luckily we got a table at the window so we could take in the beautiful view as we ate our delicious Seafood Risotto. The staff were excellent. Only negative was that it would have been handy to have a toothpick as I had mussel stuck in my tooth. Perfect apart from that. Will be back.

Great fresh food. burger and chowder were very good! Service was ok. But it was busy. The view was excellent. Menu was abit small and no snacks listed on it just meals

What a wee treat being able to sit beach front, coffee in hand relaxing! I ordered the fish tacos and loaded fries - just deeeelish! Thankyou for the beautiful kai, friendly service with good banter 😁 I'll be back out again soon to fill my belly 👍🏾

An awesome little spot - great staff, interior, simple but flavourful menu. The salmon starter and the clam linguine were insanely good - will definitely try come back sometime.

This cafe is absolutely amazing! Beautiful location across from the beach, wonderful ambience, delightful decor, fantastic service and the head chef/owner Scott's passion for food is obvious and his use of herbs and spices enhanced the flavors to make everydish mouthwatering! We hade a group of 14 woman on a girl's weekend away and our dining experience here was an absolute highlight to our stay in Riverton!

Really delicious. The staff were super friendly and great at their jobs. I think it was the best risotto I have ever eaten. 10/10 would recommend

Wow! What a truly spectacular view. This is a perfect place to visit if travelling throigh riverton. Its worth the 30min drive from Invercargill on a beautiful sunny day. This place can get busy sometimes, but definitely worth the visit. Ill be back to try the food!

Beautiful meals. Definitely try the Clam Linguine, devine. Ribeye with spring onion mash was also so tasty. Lovely setting, fantastic service with a smile. We'll be back Highly recommend

Lovely place with ocean views and best part is that they have something for your dog as well! Puppuccinos with a biscuit. My dog loved it!

The food was wonderful..sadly can't say the same for the service. Right from the ability to reserve through reservations on their website (no answer to two posts re reserving a table) then a loonngg wait for our meal..a lloonng wait for plates to be taken away and no offer of coffee or dessert. Definitely need a training day for staff thats for sure.

High class. Food was five stars but service dropped off through our lunch. Waitresses seemed loath to return for coffee/desert order. We waited and waited before actively flagging down a waitress. Overall enjoyable though because the location and the food was fantastic.

Disappointed with quality of vegan options despite being assured during booking process that the chef would have a vegan menu available. Pasta without sauce? No, theres no dessert for you. Not great service.

It was so good we went back the next night! Excellent service, staff very friendly and engaging. Love the courtesy shuttle service and then there is the food! Great portion sizes, fresh and yummy. Definitely a must when you visit Riverton.

Food and view are always a pleasure but this time the wait staff, who are always great, were absolutely delightful. This is a gem of a place.

Nice coffee, Creamy pasta. Fresh fish n chips. Long weekend, be prepare to wait. It was too busy so we had to wait for hour.

The coffee was a bit cold and there was a bit of a wait, but we did turn up before they officially opened so I can excuse that. The food was nice though and very large portion sizes! The chips were an interesting addition to the breakfast! But nice :)

The Beachhouse is conveniently located, and is probably the only place to get a decent bite and view at the same time. The restaurant allows you to see the sea, and has indoor seating, seating on the patio under tarpauline, and fully outdoor seating. The food was good, we had the fish sliders, and bangers, and mash, both of which were superb, though I'd wish there were four pieces of bangers as the mash was quite a bowlful. Do take note of serving times at peak hours, as we got hours after 40 minutes.

Went when really busy wasn't told any specials, which annoyed me as if I had of known I would of had the special. Food was fabulous. Just don"t think they were prepared for the rush on a public holiday. Staff were under pressure.

Had the most amazing meal here the other night, so good I decided to write a review haha. I had the pork belly which was fantastic, the veggies were so fresh, the pork was cooked perfectly and they weren't stingy with their meal sizes either. Awesome service from all the stuff too! I highly recommend this place.

Great venue and view with very good food and service, spoiled a little by the fact that they could not work out how to print my invoice and I wasn't given the chance to see the bill before paying

The menu didn't look very flash so I didn't expect much from the food to come. But I was wrong in my judgement. The food was absolutely fantastic in both taste and presentation. I highly recommend and I will definitely be back.

Great setting, and lovely food. 20 Feb 2012. We started of with afternoon tea then sat and enjoyed the view and the setting and ended up staying for dinner. Lovely staff and service. Great food. Very comfortable.

Well presented food with a view of the sea out of the windows. There is indoors and outdoors seating. More pricey than other restaurants, but the food was good so we were happy.

The very best Salmon Eggs Benedict ever. The Salmon was from Stewart Island and had a taste all of its own ..two big fillets. Do not miss this gem.

Could not fault - went with extended family and suited all ages. Great views & atmosphere. Customer service was very friendly, passionate & knowledgable. We ordered an array of basically everything as it all sounded delicious and it did not disappoint! Each dish had something special about it - art on a plate!
